Ch. 83 - Steve Evans
As the royal guard troops entered, Ray saw a stranger. He was a man in his thirties with blond hair and a beard that was the same color as his hair. This man was none other than the captain of the royal guard Steve Evans, and the one who dealt with Ray the most as he made trouble in Silver City.
“I didn't expect Sir Captain of the Royal Guard to come straight here.” Ray teases Steve who just came in.
“Fucking boy, why are you here?!” Steve knew right away that the one who was mocking him was Ray.
“Of course I follow the annual auction and then look for a pretty girl.” Ray answered curiously.
“Jawab is right! What other trouble have you done now?!” Steve is getting annoyed with Ray's reckless attitude.
“Why are you accusing me of that? I just accidentally got involved in this murder scheme and became the hero who saved beauty.” Ray is still with his easy attitude.
“You!..” Steve wanted to curse hard on Ray but found no reason to do so.
“Already, Uncle Steve... This time Ray has saved us from the killers.” Miria tries to mediate a dispute between Steve and Ray.
“Humph... Because you saved Miria and the others, I won't be looking for trouble with you again.” Steve grunts.
Ray is shocked by Miria's call to Steve. “Miria what did you call her? Uncle?” Ray asked Miria.
“Yes, Uncle Steve is the older brother of my mother.” Miria.
“He really is your uncle? Thank goodness you, Olivia, and Allen didn't inherit her stupidity.” Ray stroked his chest with a face full of gratitude.
“What did it say again?” Ray answered with a face without guilt.
“You...!!” Steve is rendered speechless by Ray's behavior.
“Why are you two arguing over unnecessary things?! Now it's time to find out who the murderer of Princess Ying and where they came from!.” Aunt Lin interrupted the stupid debate between Ray and Steve in a high tone.
“Alright, I will continue my work.” Steve leaves Ray and begins investigating Ying Yueru's attempted murder case.
“Finally that muscle brain goes.” Ray smiled triumphantly, then turned his gaze to Ying Yueru and the others. “Miss Ying, what is the reason you came all the way to Silver City? I wouldn't believe you said just to go to the auction or meet some friends.” Ray questioned Ying Yueru in a probing tone.
“It looks like Mr Ray has guessed my purpose in coming here, why don't you just tell Mr Ray's guess?” Ying Yueru responded to Ray's question calmly.
“There are two possible things, first looking for the truth news of the Demon Race's assault on Silver City and the second is to escape the assassination scheme.” Ray replied after concluding Ying Yueru's circumstances.
“Mister Ray's guess is right, I'm here at my father's and brother's request to find out the truth about the Devil Race's assault on Silver City. And on the other hand I also intend to escape from the murder that tried to be launched on me.” Ying Yueru still replied calmly.
“But unfortunately the murder scheme was perfectly planned so that she could track Miss Ying to this place.” Ray chimed in on Ying Yueru's words. “But they wrongly predicted that other than Miss Ying who was close to reaching the King Level and Aunt Lin who was already at the King Level, there was still me who could deal with some people at the King Level.” Continue Ray briefly.
“That's..” Ying Yueru was still calm.
