Ch. 159 - Trial II
As Ray had expected a group of Wind Wolfs to appear from the north of the meadow. Looking at the group of wolves led by a Wind Wolf that was almost twice as big as the others, Ray decided to reduce the number of Demon Beasts before handing them over to Vali and his group.
Ray raised both his hands in opposite directions, while condensing the wind in his left hand and burning hydrogen and oxygen which created an extremely hot blue flame in his right hand. Ray fused the two magic he made in each of his hands and threw them towards the Win Wolf flock.
“Boom!!” A blue fireball exploded as it hit the swarm of Wind Wolf, then white smoke and dust spread out in all directions covering up the results of Ray's attack.
Shortly after, the smoke and dust began to thin and behind the smoke and dust were seen six figures standing with one of them having a larger body. Ray could see if only the King-level Wind Wolf had made it out unharmed.
Among the other five Wind Wolfs each received light to heavy injuries. In addition the five Wind Wolfs that were killed had most of their bodies destroyed or charred in flames from the attacks carried out by Ray.
“Alright, I will handle the biggest Wind Wolf, while the other five will be your opponents to practice. Make sure your safety first, and do not push yourself too much to beat it quickly.” Ray Lanngsung left the group and attacked the largest Wind Wolf.
Vali and his group instantly faced the rest of the injured Wind Wolf. Vali and Natasha each face a Wind Wolf alone. William, Alice, and Ying Yueru face the third Wind Wolf. While Elli and Olivia hold off the remaining two Wind Wolfs with Miria providing support magic to them.
Vali took out the Venom Sword from its scabbard and started attacking Wind Wolf agilely. The sword techniques Vali used relied on agility and speed in contrast to the techniques he had trained previously. This was because Ray taught this new technique to Vali after seeing him use the lightning element augmentation while fighting with the previous Demon Race.
Valiberh managed to injure Wind Wolf with a few slashes that made the already injured Wind Wolf become unable to move anymore due to the poison from the Venom Sword that Vali used. After seeing Wind Wolf unable to move quickly Vali slashed at Wind Wolf's head and helped Elli, Olivia, and Miria's group.
While it was on the other side of the battle, William was holding a large Longsword with two hands and facing the Wind Wolf head-on. William confronts Wind Wolf to hold him in close combat, while Ying Yueru and Alice help him with long-range attack magic.
Ying Yueru used ice element magic and made dozens of ice needles to attack Wind Wolf, and Alice took out a one meter long fire spear with her magic and attacked Win Wolf from behind. As a result of a three-way attack from William, Ying Yueru, and Alice, Wind Wolf finally surrendered and was killed after William stabbed his heart.
Natasha faced off against the other Wind Wolf quite easily. Natasha continuously dodged the attacks from the Wind Wolf and kept her distance from the Demon Beast, before waiting for the perfect time using fire magic that formed a fire spear that pierced through the head until it pierced through the back of the Wind Wolf and killed him instantly.
Miria uses her magical support to restore Elli and Olivia's mana and stamina to ensure they are strong enough to survive until Vali can come and help them. After the three girls fought for ten minutes Vali finally came and helped them.
Vali moved quickly and made use of his lightning element magic to increase his speed and agility. After getting to where Elli, Oliva, and Miria were fighting Vali instantly rushed towards the two already extremely weak Wind Wolf and finished off each of them with a single slash on his neck.
All the members of the group finally felt calm after seeing the remaining five Wind Wolf completely uprooted. They felt the difficulty of the fight for the first time, as they were forced against a Demon Beast that surpassed their own level. While they finally felt relieved a relaxed voice came out from behind them.
“Why have you guys been so long, I've even finished skinning the Wind Wolf I fought.” Ray said casually as he sorted out the parts of the Wind Wolf he had already separated.
Looking at the scene before them, Vali and his group felt how powerful Ray's fighting abilities were as they began to think that maybe Ray was a monster with human skin.
“Either why, I feel that you are thinking of me in an impolite way.” Say Ray by raising his eyebrows.
“Hahaha... It might just be your feeling Ray..” Vali and his group laugh awkwardly when they see Ray knowing what they are thinking.
