Ch. 41 - Go to the Palace
Ray, Vali and Estas head to the palace in a horse-drawn carriage due to Vali's weak body. On the way to the palace Estas many question Ray about what happened to him since the incident of Mark's attack.
In response to Estas's question, Ray only answers honestly what he did after the incident with the exception of him who is the transmigator and the system the god gave him.
“You seem to get a lot of trouble nak.” Estas sighed softly, according to her that things experienced by Ray should not happen to children his age.
“But I don't think you're part of the Dark Note now.” Vali is instead more interested in the fact Ray is joining one of the Silver Moon Kingdom's underground forces.
“All because of circumstances, besides I also need a lot of information to be able to remain untraceable.” Ray replied calmly to Vali's interest.
“So you did it just because you didn't want to be found?” Vali shook his head.
“More or less like that, but didn't I ask Aaron to tell you and auntie that I was alive?” Ray turned around to ask Vali.
“Ah, there was someone who delivered the message that you were still alive, but that person did not tell
his identity. Who is this Aaron, by the way?” Vali is confused by Aaron's identity.
“He was one of the generals under your father before your father died 16 years ago, now he is a royal spy.” Estas answers Vali's question.
“You might think the kingdom is unfair to him right?” Estas looked at Vali.
Without waiting for Vali to answer Estas to continue his explanation, “Aaron lost one of his eyes in the battle that took the life of your father, he said, he was currently implanting a light crystal in one of his eyes to be able to see better. But by installing a light crystal means he will narrow the angle of view of his eyes, making him unsuitable in large-scale combat.”
“Then why doesn't Aaron retire?” Vali asked back.
“He always blames himself for Ernest's death, he always says if only he was stronger back then Ernest
it won't die. Therefore he wants to serve more of this kingdom even though his rank dropped as a spy though.” There was helplessness on Estas's face when it came to Aaron, as Aaron was also one of the soldiers he taught himself directly. Although Aaron's talent is mediocre but he is a hard worker in the eyes of Estas.
The three-person conversation on the train continues, discussing all the things Ray did during his disappearance. After passing through several residential blocks and the core area where the nobles lived, the three-man horse carriage arrived in front of a silvery-white palace surrounded by a moat.
This palace was none other than Moon Palace. The area of this palace itself was over one-fifth the size of Silver City. With a five-meter-high wall surrounding the Moon Palace and several watchtowers built followed the groove of the wall.
As the horse-drawn carriage arrived in front of the stone bridge connecting the two sides of the moat, a guard approached the horse-drawn carriage. “Mr Estas, Your Majesty is already waiting inside.”
Estas opens the veil of the train and nods “Lead the way.” A three-man horse carriage entered the Moon Palace.
