Ch. 57 - Back to Home

After healing Allen and bidding farewell with Olivia, Oliver and Lilliana, Ray returns to the Rogue Family residence to allay the concerns of Eva and the others. The distance between the Schtrom Family and the Rogue Family is not too far because it is only a few minutes by foot. The Rogue Family's residence was also north of downtown Silver City.

Ray asks Vali about Eva while they are on their way to the Rogue Family residence. “Vali, how is Aunt Eva doing?”

“My mother was very worried when she found out you disappeared, she rarely ate because of that and almost got sick. Only after the trial a month ago is the condition better because it knows you're still safe and well.” Vali recounts Eva's circumstances after Ray's disappearance.

“It looks like I really made her worry this time. Aunt Eva always treated me like her own son and I could never repay her.” Ray let out a long sigh as he recalled how Eva took care of him sincerely like her own son. For Ray who never had a parent figure, Eva is a mother figure that he always expected both in his first life and the second life he is currently living.

“Yes, you always make trouble wherever you go. But now I know I have another big thing you're worried about.” Vali.

“T need not discuss it further, because now we will go home. Better enjoy this quiet time well.” Ray stopped his conversation with Vali, as they had already reached their destination.

Ray and Vali arrive in front of a four-meter fence guarded by four soldiers. Unlike the Schtrom Family residence which looks luxurious and has many trinkets, the, the Rogue Family Residence looked very simple but had a wider area with many open areas used for the training of the Silver Moon Kingdom's elite soldiers.

Arriving at the gate the guards who saw Ray and Vali came immediately saluted and opened the way. Ray and Vali enter the Rogue Family residence, at the same time a little girl jumps into Ray's arms.

“Elena now you're a big girl why you're still a little kid.” Ray stroked the head of Elena who was Chris' youngest daughter.

“Sister Ray, I've been baptized into a member of the royal family. Why don't you come to the christening again?” Elena looked at Ray questioningly.

To Elena's knowledge, someone with the blood of a member of the Royal Family would be baptized at the age of eight, but Ray never attended the baptism. Previously Ray's grandfather, Julius and his uncle, Chris had invited him repeatedly to attend the baptism but Ray always avoided it for various reasons.

“Ehm... Elena it... ah, it's because Brother Ray has a lot of business to do and can't be delayed because that brother can't be present at the christening.” Ray immediately made up an excuse to convince Elena.

“Oh, Brother Ray is busy. So Brother Ray can't play with Elena too?” Elena looked at Ray with a clear face.

“Sure, Brother Ray will accompany Elena playing. But Brother Ray has to find Aunt Eva first.” Ray rubbed Elena's head.

“Ray, don't spoil it too much.” The voice of the adult woman admonished Ray gently.
