Ch. 7 - The Conference
Seeing the figure tied to his hand, Estas immediately let out a huge killing intent so that everyone in the room had difficulty breathing.
“Estas my brother please lower your appetite kill you.” Julius reminded Estas, but there was no urgency and a dominant tone in his words. His words look like someone's guilty.
“Julius if he's not your son! You think he can still stand here? If it wasn't for you being like my brother and foster dad you think he could still walk?” Estas vented all her anger, her speech like lightning during the day echoing throughout the meeting hall.
“Julius, Estas, calm yourself.” An old and calm voice came out from the door behind Estas and Julius' seat. An old man in his 80s came out of the door. He is Rony Von Ainsworth Julius' father and Estas' adoptive father. Although it looks to be in his 80s his original age itself is more than 150 years old. Rony sits in the third seat between Julius and Estas.
“Dad Kingdom.” Julius saluted Rony.
“Dad lift.” Estas calmed herself down and greeted Rony.
“You two rest easy I will lead this trial. And I assure you on behalf of Ancestor Ainsworth this trial will be fair.” Rony smiled calmly and looked at Julius and Estas.
“Bring the suspect and start the trial.”
Mark is dragged into the middle of the hall to be tried, after seeing the arrival of his grandfather Rony he knows that his punishment will be as it should be and he cannot ask for his father's help. After Mark sat down in the middle of the hall, someone read out his mistake.
“Mark Von Ainsworth, has committed the sin of raping a servant from the Rogue House named Tiffa who was also the sister of the late General Ernest 10 years ago. And committed the premeditated murder of his son Ray Ainsworth.” The man finished reading Mark's wrongdoing.
Upon hearing Mark's erroneous reading, Estas' murderous lust goes back up. But now he was able to control it after Rony looked at him with a low sigh. However, Rony is still a very respected figure by Estas, he knows without the attention of Rony, the son of a General who died on the front line, it seems that he will not have his achievements now.
“Before Mark commits punishment I will say something. Ray Ainsworth is still alive, at least I still feel the aura of hers before.” Rony said in a calm voice.
Although the word was said calmly without the slightest ripple at all, it still echoed throughout the hall. On the seat of the Rogue House a thin 30-year-old woman shed tears, she is Eva Rogue Estas' second daughter. Ray is the niece of her husband and also the only son of her late best friend. Her guilt towards Tiffa made her love Ray as much as her own son.
At the same time Estas' body shook, she looked at Rony as if making sure what Rony said was true or a lie. After making sure Rony's remark was not a lie Estas lowered her aura, even the previously leaked killing intent instantly disappeared.
“Therefore I will impose the appropriate punishment for Mark. Mark Von Ainsworth accepts your sentence.” Rony's calm voice turned authoritative and dominant.
“This one received his punishment.” Mark answered listlessly.
“Mark Von Ainsworth with all the mistakes you've proven I revoke all your titles as a noble, forbid you from any kind of relationship with all the royal lords and prevent you from interfering with all the activities Ray Ainsworth is doing, and if one day Ray Ainsworth comes for revenge then the royal family will not give you any protection, as well as the withdrawal of all the royal guards in your residence. If anyone violates this edict then it is considered a royal traitor and sentenced to death.”
Rony's dominant voice echoed throughout the hall. The punishment given by Rony can be said to be light and heavy at the same time. Rony did not immediately sentence Mark to death, but gave him a chance at the same time fear that Ray came to take revenge.
Whether it was good or bad Rony's decision satisfied all parties. Julius heaved a sigh of relief not needing to see his son lose his life. While Estas is also happy, because with the decision can be ensured Ray's security is more guaranteed.
After the decision was handed down Mark was taken out of the room, to accept his sentence. The hot and tense atmosphere within the hall subsided and a satisfied smile adorned most of the people within the hall. Only Chris the current king, who had a face hesitated to convey something.
