Ch. 146 - Night Attack III
Above the wall of the Border Post between the Silver Moon Kingdom and the Deathly Forest, Ray was standing watching the area around the Border Post with his Divine Sense.
“I still can't find anything within the range of my Divine Sense. I hope James' group can find something.” Ray sighed after retracting his Divine Sense.
Just a moment after Ray withdrew his Divine Sense, a red beacon lit up in the north. “So they sent out a lookout group in the northern area? And with a flare burning from there it must give them a surprise and make them change the origin of the attack and also accelerate the attack.”
Ray was silent for a moment while thinking about the greatest possibility that would happen in this attack. Then Ray unhesitatingly took out his divine sense and extended his reach to the maximum.
“They shifted to the northwest, and also the tent places Ying Yueru, Alice and Natasha were to the northwest of the central part of the Border Post. It seems like they are indeed eyeing the two princesses, but what do they really want.” Ray began to think about what the purpose of this group was.
“It should be based on the information I have, they are not fools who think the death of one or two princesses in another kingdom would be the basis for a war... Unless, if they have..” Ray muttered softly.
“Unless if they have insiders working with them to make a bigger fuss.” Ray kept his last thought in his heart, he was unwilling to make false allegations or accusations without solid evidence.
As Ray dissolved into his thoughts, a group of people who looked like assassins in black clothes and wearing masks entered his Divine Sense stand. Ray was surprised by the strength of the group that came to attack this Border Post, as this group numbered fifty people with the weakest being at the God Level.
“Hais... Since when did a King Level and God Level expert become like a cabbage in the market?” Ray muttered softly while thinking about how many King Levels he had already faced.
Shortly afterwards Ralf and his soldiers were immediately in a ready position to fight after seeing a red flare burning from the north.
“There is a troublesome group of assassins who are attacking this Border Post. Order your soldiers to tighten the defenses at the Border Post and follow me to welcome this uninvited guest.” Ray immediately moved towards the group of assassins without waiting for a reaction and response from Ralf.
Ralf is surprised to see Ray leave without giving him an explanation, but he also understands that maybe this will be a dangerous situation. “Listen to my orders! Tighten the Border Post guard and wake up the students, also make sure they don't panic! And if anything looks suspicious instantly turn on the beacon without delay!” Shouted Ralf.
The soldiers instantly followed the order Ralf gave them without delay. They closed the gates and strengthened them. Then turn on the torchlight to increase the illumination before preparing the archer on the wall of the Border Post. After that they woke up the students to be on standby to protect themselves without creating a panic.
While the soldiers were carrying out the order given by Ralf, about two hundred meters northwest of the Border Post Ray and Ralf stopped the group of fifty people in black clothes and wearing masks to cover their faces.
“Little Black, time to go!” Ray immediately woke up the sleeping Little Black in the form of a bracelet in his hand.
