Ch. 177 - The Battle of Asa III
Ray's Group.
Meanwhile Ray and his group had already entered the outer region of the Deathly Forest. As they accelerate their movements, Ray and his group manage to reach the outer region within an hour and a half.
“Either why, as we get closer to the outer region of the Deathly Forest. The bad feeling I feel is getting clearer and stronger just, don't tell me something bad happened to Yuri and her group?” Ray muttered softly while thinking about what might happen.
“Ray, you should feel that way, right? The great power that boomed from the outer region of the Deathly Forest? This is similar to when you fought an Emperor-level Demon Beast earlier.” William who was running beside Ray opened his voice.
“You're right Will, this is a fight between an Emperor-level Demon Beast with two other powers. But, I can sense there are three forces fighting each other, and this is a two-on-one fight.” Ray explained what he felt.
“In addition, it seems like I know quite familiar with the two sources of power that are fighting against an Emperor Level Demon Beast. If I don't guess wrong this aura belongs to James and Little Black, and they try to hold the Demon Beast back so that the others can survive.” Ray explained.
“Then, shouldn't we speed up our Steps? If they had indeed met an Emperor-level Demon Beast then that meant James and Little Black were going through a desperate fight.” William chimed in on Ray's explanation.
“You're right Will.” Ray nodded before turning towards his group and shouted. “Sorry if it's a hassle, but can you guys follow me and move faster? There's an urgent situation ahead there.”

“Bam!!” “Bam..” “Bamm!!” the sound of explosions was heard repeatedly and several craters were formed as a result of the impact of two great forces.
Currently James and Little Black were still trying to hold the Flame Chimera for as long as they could. James had repeatedly tried to attack the Flame Chimera's weak point - its tail - but had always managed to avoid the Flame Chimera. So James decided to control his strength and balance his attacks to store his stamina and mana as much as possible, so that he could hold the Flame Chimera for as long as possible.
“Hahh... huhh! Huh..” James's breathing was wheezing as he took some distance from the Flame Chimera.
“It looks like this Flame Chimera is not just an ordinary Emperor Level Demon Beast, if as far as I can remember they should not have the ability to harden any part of its body or coat it with their scales.” James finally realized the Demon Beast in front of him might be a unique class.
After replenishing his mana reserves, James strengthened his body back with mana and began to attack the Flame Chimera back. James slashed at the Flame Chimera repeatedly with his sword, each of James' attacks were extremely fast and attacking several vital points of the Flames Chimera.
“Klang... ting.. klang... ting!! Klang!!” However, each attack James managed to be easily repelled by the Flame Chimera by hardening all parts of his body and then coating it with hard scales.
“Sial, even after fighting all this time only Little Black's surprise attack managed to damage its wings.” James cursed about his bad luck to face a creature like the Flame Chimera.
On the other hand the Flame Chimera who felt increasingly distracted by James's fighting style was only stalling for time, releasing the huge mana all around his body and turning it into a layer of burning fire.
“Rooaarr!!!” The Flame Chimera shrouded in flames roared loudly as it unleashed all of its might.
“Bammm!!” The Flame Chimera kicked the unprepared James with a sudden change of situation.
James was thrown tens of meters away and smashed some large trees standing behind him before spitting out a wisp of bright red blood. After kicking James away from him with an extremely fast movement the Flame Chimera shot towards Little Black then caught its tail and slammed it on the ground repeatedly like a sandbag before throwing it.
After throwing Little Black, the Flame Chimera opened its mouth wide while concentrating its mana in front of its mouth. A huge fireball appeared in front of the Flame Chimera's mouth and grew bigger, after a while a gigantic fireball shot towards James unhindered.
“Oh, shit!”

This is the new chapter for today... Honestly, I took the thought to make a hiatus first some time because again deathlock idea to continue writing this work, but because there is a time when to update in my gc, gc, so I will keep updating as much as possible first.all waiting for ideas to continue the plot...
