Ch. 158 - Trial I
After the team split was complete, Ray and his team parted ways with the other team and headed for the deeper regions of the Deathly Forest. Ray decides to take them to a transitional area of the outer region of the Deathly Forest and the inner region of the Deathly Forest. They walked in a meadow between two regions.
The reason Ray took his team to deeper areas was because the strength in his team was supposed to be stronger than most other teams, so Ray decided to increase the difficulty level to add to their fighting experience.
“Now that we have reached the location of our hunt, I will draw some God Level Demon Beasts for you to fight. Supposedly with the level of the team now fighting five or six God Level Demon Beasts was not a problem.” Ray decided to stop and chose this place as a battleground.
“Five or six God Level Demon Beasts? Ray are you sure?” Vali was surprised by the amount Ray had said, he was sure that he could deal with one or two God-Level Demon Beasts but the others might not be able to.
“Quiet, Vali. I have calculated it well, it should be that if you bring out all of your abilities five or six God Level Beasts is nothing. Besides, I've already given you the Venom Sword so you should be able to easily defeat a God Level Demon Beast.” Ray's words calmed Vali down.
“But..” Vali was still intending to cling to Ray while glancing at William's group, Ying Yueru, and Alice.
“Quiet, Vali. The three of them should be able to face off against one God Level Demon Beast, Natasha can also fight one, you can fight one or two, while the rest can be dealt with by the rest of our group. This setting should not be excessive.” Ray answered calmly.
“Alright, then..” Vali finally complies with Ray.
Ray watched the members of his group and saw Elli looking down as if thinking of something. “What's Elli? Do you have anything to ask?”
“Ah, that's Ray... Why don't you put Yuri in this group and put me in it instead? Yuri should be much stronger than me, right?” Elli replied hesitatingly.
“Just because Yuri is stronger than all of you, I left her with another group just in case. If I'm not mistaken he should already be able to use the space barrier with his ability now, although it's useless to attack but still very strong to defend.” Ray was calm.
“You mean, you purposely left him in another group to buy time so you could help them?” William understood Ray's intentions.
“Wait, Ray! What did you say before?” William was surprised by the last words Ray said.
As far as William knows according to the weekly and monthly reports from this Border Post, the, the number of King Level Demon Beasts was at least over thirty tails and Ray had just told him that he had already killed all of them? William was really surprised by this news.
“I have already finished off all the King Level Demon Beasts in the outer region, should their group be fine now.” Ray said casually.
“All... This means that you killed over thirty King Level Demon Beasts by yourself? And it only takes two weeks?” William tried to digest the information he received.
William still thinks his cousin is too full of mystery, every time he opens a layer of mystery skin belonging to Ray there is always a new mystery that envelops him. If only William had known Ray had even killed an early Emperor-level Divine Beast, he would probably have been shocked to the point of fainting.
“I don't know the number, but it should be about forty if not wrong.” Ray replied while trying to recall the exact number of Demon Beasts he killed.
“Geh... You are terrible as always.” William coughed when he heard Ray's reply.
“Sudak enough to say, we have guests..” Ray stopped his conversation as he sensed the ten God Level Demon Beasts leading one Level King towards him.
