Ch. 148 - Blood Qilin
After finishing his fight, Ray immediately rushed to help Little Black who was starting to get overwhelmed with his opponent. Ray accelerated his movements with his wind element magic and rushed towards the two assassins who were using earth element magic to disrupt Little Black's movements.
Ray who caught the two assassins in an unprepared state as he was focusing on fighting with Little Black instantly killed the two assassins with a single move with each of them finding their hearts pierced before dying.
Ray intends to eliminate the space and darkness element magic user who attacked Little Black before dealing with the rest of the assassins who are performing rituals that he does not know about.
Ray moves quickly to attack the two assassins but when Ray gets closer to them, he can see them grinning which makes him get a bad feeling and Ray immediately intends to stay away from them.
“Bamm!!!!” A huge explosion occurred in the second place of the assassins who used space magic and darkness earlier.
Ray had tried to dodge but he was still affected by the explosion because it was too close to the two assassins before they blew themselves up. Ray now has burns on his right hand and reaches almost half of his right body.
This was the first time for Ray to receive such severe injuries, so far he had only suffered a few incision wounds that were too deep while fighting with the horde of Demon Beasts in the Deathly Forest.
“Uhuk... Uhuk...” Ray coughed up blood while trying to endure the pain he was suffering from.
After stabilizing himself with his Regeneration Skill, Ray took out the Recovery Potion he had just bought from the system and downed it without delay. Ray could feel the flow of warm energy that accelerated his regeneration by 50 times.
“As expected of a potion for 10 Gold Coins from the system.” Ray murmured while draining his mana to stabilize the condition of his body.
“But they are really crazy for learning self-blasting magic..” Ray saw an explosion mark with a diameter of more than 10 meters in front of him. Then Ray noticed the conditions around him and felt relieved after seeing Ralf and Little Black successfully deal with all of his opponents.
Ray also saw a blood-red ray shining brightly with the hall gripping out from the place of the strange ritual that the other assassins performed. Ray could see the bodies of the assassins performing the ritual begin to dry up slowly, their bodies began to take care of as if they were losing blood and fluids in their bodies.
The longer the gripping red light passed the more clearly visible it was, Ray could also feel a cruel aura and crazy killing intent emanating from their ritual place. The assassins who performed the ritual began to lose their strength to stand up and could only kneel, now that their bodies had almost dried up and left behind only a few flesh, bones, and skin.
“Rooarrr!!!” The sound of a roar resounded throughout the entire corner.
Ray could see the ferocious beasts coming out of the ritual circle that the assassins had made. The beast is seen to have four legs with a body covered in blood-red scales and with a head that looks like a mixture between the head of a Chinese dragon and the horns of a deer. Ray who came from the earth saw this ferocious beast similar to the story about the mythical beast that was Qilin.
After that ferocious beast that looked like a Qilin was successfully summoned, it, the bodies of all the assassins who performed the ritual exploded and turned into thousands of drops of blood which the savage beast then sucked in and made the aura of his ruthless power increase even further.
Before Ray could think about the situation and think about how to deal with this creature, the sound of the system echoed in his head.
“Ding~~~ Special Mission”

“Oh, shit! It will be another sleepless night!” Ray grumbled before starting to move towards the Blood Qilin.
