Ch. 44 - Revealing Truth II
“The teleportation formation connects two places namely Blood City with Silver City, and these two formations have been installed for more than ten years. Before I had no intention of detonating it but because of the attack that took place in Silver City I decided to blow it up because maybe this was their path of help.” Ray continued his explanation.
“Ray since when have you found these places? And why didn't you tell the government about this?” Chris the current king questions Ray's reason for hiding these things from the royal side.
“Uncle Chris if I say that the Devil Race party has infiltrated Silver City since sixteen years ago, is there a tone that believes?” Ray looked at Chris for a moment, before shaking his head. Although Ray himself is not the real Ray but from the memory he has, before the original Ray can only be said to be talented in magic and swords only and his attitude often makes trouble. Many even call him a hedonistic young master.
“This...” heard Ray's sarcastic remark, making Chris instantly speechless. Because it's just like Ray said if he said such a thing most people in this place would just make it nonsense.
“I know you will never listen to the explanations of people like me, and I myself am also self-aware of my reputation to date. If this has nothing to do with my mother's death and this shit I don't want to bother getting involved.” Ray looked at Chris sharply, then looked at everyone inside the hall. Then he dragged Mark who was helpless.
“In addition Uncle Chris, Grandpa Julius, Grandpa Juan, Grandpa Estas, and all the meeting members who are in this hall. There's something else I found while investigating this matter and it's about this trash.” Ray dragged Mark down the middle of the hall, making all eyes look towards him.
“Ray, this..” Julius stood up from his seat and walked to the center of the hall before Estas stopped him.
“Julius, actually Mark..” Estas tries to explain to Julius about Mark's condition, but Ray cuts her off.
Everyone inside the hall was shocked to see the incident in the middle of the hall unfolding too fast, meanwhile within a few seconds Mark's body began to wither at a speed that the naked eye could see. Then slowly Mark's body began to weather before turning into dust and scattered in the air. The conditions that occur to Mark show his body has long died and can only survive because it is still a controlling insect host.
“This, this..ini..” Julius stammered in disbelief at what he saw, completely shocked to see his son killed in such a terrible way. But what made him even more incredulous was that he himself did not realize his son had been controlled for a long time.
“Julius this is what I wanted to tell you from the beginning.” Estas sighed looking at the state of her best friend.
“This, this since when did you guys know it?” Julius' voice still rang out.
“I've known about it since a few months ago, while Grandpa Estas only found out a while ago. By the time I found out that this guy has the insect controlling his body was already completely controlled by this insect. In other words this insect has made this person its host more than fifteen years ago.” Ray explains what he found after all his investigations on Mark.
“It's been that long..”.
