Ch. 172 - The Battle and Auman Demon Beast
At the same time the other nine instructors who followed the fight with Ryan and James had a difficult fight. Most instructors had to face opponents who were slightly stronger than them so they were a little desperate and some others had opponents who were quite balanced with them which also made them difficult to end the battle as quickly in all probability.
Mona one of the instructors from the magician class is currently addressing the Flame Wolf. As a commoner who managed to reach the King's Level, Mona has shown her talent and hard work. In addition, Mona managed to reach this level when she was 22 years old which showed her incredible talent. But this time Mona had a bad day of getting caught up in a fight with a Flame Wolf that was stronger than her.
“Arghh..” Mona was finally unable to hold on anymore and was hit by the Flame Wolf's attack and thrown far back before crashing into a tree and stopping.
Just as he thought that he was going to die here, a figure rushed towards him and quickly slashed at the neck of the Flame Wolf who could not dodge his surprise attack. The man's attack managed to cut the Flame Wolf's neck deep enough that it left him dead after losing a lot of blood.
“You all right, miss? You better step back now and get first aid from Miss Schnee.” The man tells Mona to retreat and recover.
Mona who saw the man up close recognized him as James, the one who decided on this plan and made everyone reduce the risk of the fight by pulling the six Demonic Beasts together with Ryan and the Black Dragon that Yuri had brought.
“Thanks for helping.” Mona thanks James and retreats to get first aid from Schnee. But at the same time Mona was not aware that her face was slightly flushed with embarrassment and her heart was racing.
Meanwhile, James also directly rushed to help others in their group. This time he had managed to kill the King Level Flame Ape by stabbing its heart through the back of its back.
“Bamn..” James received a punch from the other Flame Ape while killing the Flame Ape.
“Urgh... Damn it, I got caught off guard.. uhuk..” James vomited a mouthful of blood from his mouth and he could feel more than half of his ribs being crushed. Without hesitation James directly took out the Recovery Potion that Ray had given him and drank it to recover himself, then went back to fighting against the Flame Ape that hit him.
“Come, start the second round of damn apes!” James jumped up and slashed his sword from above the head of the Flame Ape which he had dodged perfectly.
Without wasting any time James stomped his feet and leaped forward the Flame Ape that lost its balance after dodging James' previous attack, with a slash James managed to tear a huge wound from the neck to the belly of the Flame Ape. Finally James ended that Flame Ape life by cutting off his head.
James looked at the battle conditions around him and could see almost all the fight had finished except for one fight between Ryan and a Flame Phyton. James immediately rushed to help Ryan who was already in a desperate condition, because this was his third fight after splitting from James' group.

As Ryan's condition pressed on and felt that he had reached his limit, someone jumped up from beside Flame Phyton and managed to stab one of his eyes with a surprise attack. Ryan who was already on the edge of exhaustion would not let go of the golden opportunity that was in front of him, unconcerned by all the exhaustion he had he rushed forward and landed a crushing attack that almost severed the head of the Flame Phyton and killed him instantly.
As Ryan and James had already confirmed the death of the Flame Phyton before him, they could finally breathe a sigh of relief and rest their bodies. Both Ryan and James had already reached their limits of strength after this nearly three hours of relentless fighting.
“So, how many casualties on our side?” James asked the condition of the others in their group when he saw Syr approaching them.
“There were no fatalities but there were still five people who were seriously injured and nearly died. Lucky my brother can treat them in time and stabilize his condition.” Syr replied in a flat tone while checking on James' condition.
“Thankfully there were no fatalities here, but somehow I still can't feel calm now.” James felt something bad was still going to happen.
After training under Ray for almost a month, he, James has gone through many life-and-death fights that Ray has made for him and every time he has survived it is also thanks to his intuition that tells him whenever dangerous circumstances come to him.
“Roaarrr!!!” a savage beast roar sounded along with the overwhelming pressure accompanying it.
“Sial, this is the roar of an Emperor Level Demon Beast!” James shouted cursing his unlucky fate and the members of his group.
