Ch. 176 - The Battle of Asa II
“Baaaaammm!!!” a huge explosion occurred during the collision between James' attack and the Flame Chimera's attempt to hold him back.
Smoke and dust were scattered by the huge explosion, at the same time a small figure of man jumped out from within the cluster of smoke and dust. James was the one who darted out from the pool of smoke and dust from the explosion he made while attacking the Flame Chimera.
“That damn creature, he can even harden his arms and withstand my strongest attack! How hard is his body?” James couldn't bring out his shock, because with the previous attack he could kill a King-level Demon Beast easily.
“It seems like what Master Ray said was true, if I were to meet an Emperor-level Demon Beast, all I can do is run! But I can't let this******** pass! Because if he makes it past me, the students and instructors of the academy will be in danger!” james adjusted his condition and again prepared to fight against the Flame Chimera.
James knew with his strength now it was impossible to inflict heavy injuries on the Flame Chimera let alone kill him. So instead of attacking strongly and quickly, James chose to attack carefully while saving as much energy as possible. So with the help Little Black gave him at least he could hold the Flame Chimera in front of him for a few hours.
“Little Black, looks like we have no chance to defeat him. So let's make this stupid beast angry and spend as much energy as possible!” James again attacked the Flame Chimera with a vertical slash that was successfully held back by using his one arm by the Flame Chimera.
At the same time James launched his attack, Little Black slipped behind the Flame Chimera and opened his mouth to light the Flame Chimera's tail. But the Flame Chimera was aware of their plan and blasting flames from under his feet which made him manage to dodge Little Black's sneak attack.
“Grr... Roooaaarr!!!” The Flame Chimera roared furiously as if shouting at James and Little Black over their shameless attacks.
“Kyu... kyu Meanwhile Little Black retorted in a small voice as if mocking how foolish the Flame Chimera was.
James who saw the incident could not understand what the Flame Chimera and Little Black were doing or shouting. But he ran back and attacked the Flame Chimera with his sword, the current James only needed to cut off the Flame Chimera's tail and infuriate it and lose control of its magic energy. If this were to happen then the strength of the Flame Chimera would be drastically reduced, and leave James with a greater chance of escaping even if he was injured though.
James resisted the Flame Chimera's attack by slashing his sword. “Klang..” The Flame Chimera hardened his legs and resisted James' attacks easily.
“B*this big bastard seems to be able to harden all parts of his body and coat it with very hard scales. Though at first I still thought I could escape safely from this beast, but it seems I was too confident.” James mumbled slowly.
“Haish... Why is the distance between the King Level and Emperor Level so great? Shouldn't it be only 100 points of strength?” James complained in his mind.
If anyone had heard James' complaint, they would have drowned him in yelling and ridicule for his nonsense. Although what James said was true but to increase the power value from 200 to 300 would probably take almost a lifetime for someone and they would not necessarily manage to achieve it.
“It looks like I can only hope Mr. Ray will come before I run out of stamina and potions leading to my death.” James let out a long sigh, before steeling his resolve and starting to fight back to hold back the Flame Chimera as much as possible.

This is the new chapter for today... Maybe the schedule will be a little erratic because I am also thinking about what I want to write next... Well, please understand because I am still a beginner when it comes to writing...
