Ch. 136 - A Week Later III

Then on Day Six, Ray makes James and his group fight him which ends with Ray beating them black and blue. This made James think that Ray only wanted to beat them on Sixth Day. Luckily James did not know that what he was thinking was right and became more hurt because after returning to his tent Ray felt very happy because he managed to relieve stress on James and his group.

And lastly on the Seventh Day, Ray gathers James and his group for breakfast together before drugging them and hanging them to a tree in the Deathly Forest with a paper containing their graduation exams. Of course, when James and his group wake up they explode in anger and curse their savage and irresponsible coach relentlessly.

And then at the end of Seventh Day, James and his group finally managed to complete the graduation exam of their hellish training despite being covered in blood and repeatedly on the edge of death.

“Yeah, congratulations on your graduation. Now you can go back to your posts, according to the ones Ralf.” has directed Ray said after confirming the number of demonic beasts that James and his group were carrying.

“Ya, Thanks Sir!” James and his group bowed and sincerely thanked Ray.

James and his group felt that their strength as individuals and groups had increased many times over the previous one. If it was when James and his group first came to the Border Post, then perhaps they would really only be free food for Demon Beasts like Ray had said when he first trained them.

Because the first time James and his group entered the Deathly Forest they had already encountered a Demon Beast that was at the God Level that was extremely dangerous to them before. But for James and his group now could fight the Demon Beasts who were at the God Level alone which was a huge improvement to their strength.

So even though James and his group were tormented and played with by Ray in his training, they were also very grateful to Ray for guiding and directing them until they reached this point. Because if it's before meeting and getting training from Ray, both James and his group felt they would be fine if they managed to be at the God Level after a few years but now they achieved it in just a few days of training.

“Hoi... hoi.. Why are you bowing like that? Don't you want to curse me again? Hahaha.” Ray laughed as he recalled them exploding furiously and cursing him shortly after waking up from the effects of the sleeping pills he was given.

“Ekh... You know about that?” James almost choked on his own breath when he heard Ray's words.

“Hahaha... Of course I know about it. Did you forget about all the Demon Beasts that attacked you in the Deathly Forest?” Ray replied with a laugh.

“What do you mean?” Asked James in a probing tone.

“How is the order of the Demonic Beasts attacking you?” Ray was still in a relaxed tone.

“Urucks? Otherwise wrong eight God-Level Demon Beasts, then two King-level Demon Beasts that came in turns, and then some God-Level and Tier 9 Demon Beasts.” James paused for a moment while recalling the strange sequence of Demon Beasts they had encountered.

In James's memories after their first difficult time when meeting a large group of God Level Demon Beasts, then proceeding with a King Level Demon Beast. But after all that fight, only a few Divine level Demon Beasts and below appeared. Even almost all of the God Level Demon Beasts that appeared at the end were much weaker than the group that appeared at the beginning.

Ray interrupts James and begins to speak in a relaxed tone. “Yap, of course as you think. The handsome and talented young master who arranged all those Demon Beasts for you. Hahaha.” Ray finally could not help but laugh when he saw the annoyed faces of James and his group.

“You... you...!” The veins began to be seen on the faces of James and his group due to the anger and annoyance that was unbearable for them. Even their faces looked as if they wanted to swallow Ray alive.

“Hahaha... No need to be so angry, the important thing is you guys made it back alive is not?” Ray was still talking guiltlessly while staring at James and his group who were about to explode from anger.

“Yeah, anyway. Now let Schnee and Syr heal you, I'll go back to my tent first. Bye!” Ray immediately darted back to his tent without waiting for James and his group to respond. In fact, Schnee and Syr were silent for a moment when they heard Ray's words before seeing him disappear.

Meanwhile, Ray who had returned to his tent saw a black bird that looked like an eagle but with a jet-black body and fiery red eyes. This bird is none other than the Dark Hawk which is a Level 3 Demon Beast that the Dark Note developed to send important messages quickly.

Ray decides to return to his tent and leaves the matter of care for James and his group to Schnee and Syr because he sees the Dark Hawk flying towards his tent. Because Ray knew that only a very important and confidential message was sent with the Dark Hawk, then without a doubt Ray immediately returned to his tent.

Now after seeing the Dark Hawk carrying a message to the Border Post of Silver City, the, Ray could sense that a new problem was coming for him and therefore he needed to prepare something before it came to him.

“Heih... Why are so many problems coming to me? Can't this world let me live a quiet and relaxed life longer?” Ray let out a long sigh before bringing the Dark Hawk into his tent to read what message he was carrying.

I still work on my project, and I still work about 12 hours a day. To be honest it was really exhausting, but this is my first job project since the coronavirus pandemic began. That meant my first job in three months after the pandemic. So because I need a certain income I have to complete my obligations properly and well after the request of the project owner, and therefore I need to work overtime like a horse until the project is completed.

For updates myself I will try if I have free time to write, although I can not present as usual. Please be aware because we are in trouble due to this pandemic and also I need to prioritize obligations rather than hobbies.
