Ch. 104 - Elf Race
“Who's there!!” Shouted one of the girls rushing to use a robe to cover his body. Then he gathered up the mana in his palm and made a big ball of wind to throw down Ray who was hiding in the bushes.
Ray sees a ball of wind pointing at him quickly avoiding the ball with minimum movement. As long as Ray was in the Deathly Forest his reflexes to danger had already increased to the extreme. “Nona, I didn't mean to peek at you. Actually this lake is where I used to stay and rest.” Ray tried to explain the situation.
“Bah... do you think I would believe the words of a pervert like you.” The girl did not want to hear Ray's explanation and continued to attack him with wind magic.
Ray tried to continuously avoid the girl's attack without intending to strike back. But the wind magic attacks that lead to Ray getting fiercer and faster make Ray more and more hassles to avoid it.
“Nona, as I said I accidentally peeked at you guys. This lake is where I used to rest and stay at night. If you don't believe look at that tent and the former campfire.” Ray tried to re-explain this misunderstanding by pointing to where his tent was standing, while dodging every magic attack the girl had launched.
“Enough, shut your mouth. You're a pervert who doesn't even want to admit what he did!” The girl was upset when her attack nothing hit Ray. Finally he stopped his wind magic and took out a short sword from his spatial ring. Then use wind magic to accelerate his movements and attack Ray from close range.
Ray who saw the girl in front of him so stubborn and unreasonable finally decided to fight back. Ray avoided the melee slashes and punches the girl had launched. It didn't take long for Ray to catch the girl off guard and manage to catch her wrist. Ray immediately took the weapon in the girl's hand when he managed to hold it and make it unable to move without hurting it.
“Master, can you release Syr? This is just a misunderstanding, and we are also wrong here because we do not pay attention if anyone occupies this place.” The other girl approaches Ray after getting fully dressed and tries to straighten out the misunderstanding between Ray and Syr.
“I've tried to explain it since the beginning but this girl keeps being stubborn and instead attacks me for no reason.” Ray shook his head to show he didn't want to do this either.
“Ah, I just realized that you guys are an Elf Race. And also introduce me to Ray Ainsworth from Silver Moon Kingdom.” Ray realizes that the pointed ears of Schnee and Syr show that they are the Elves.
“Sorry, Mr. Ray. Can you release Syr now?” Schnee again asks Ray to release his younger brother Syr.
“Oh, sure. But I will hold this sword for a while and return it when we part later.” Ray releases Syr and retrieves Syr's weapon, but Ray is still afraid that Syr will suddenly attack him senselessly.
“Hmph..” Syr snorted in annoyance after Ray's release. Then rushed to his brother Schnee's side.
“Thank you Mr. Ray for understanding.” Schnee sincerely thanked.
“Not a problem.” Ray replied casually, while in his heart he felt grateful that they did not know that he was deliberately peeping at them in the bath. “Luckily they can accept my excuse. If they find out I peeked on purpose maybe I'd be beaten all out. After all women are terrible things when angry.” Inner Ray in the heart.
