Ch. 33 - End of Chaos I
“I don't think anyone is capable enough to trouble my reincarnation.” A disdainful sound came out from Mephistopeles' mouth with the murderous air soaring high, making the area around which had originally been cold grow cold and gripping. The killing aura released from Mephistopeles' body was enough to suppress most of the people around him.
Ray, who was far enough away from Estas and Mephistopeles, also felt the pressure of the killing air coming out of Mephistopeles' body. Using a giant fire spear to destroy the already frozen Hellbound Lava Beast, Ray rushed straight towards Vali and his group to finish the battle as quickly as possible. “At least Grandpa Estas can still hold it some time.” Ray thought in his mind.
Closer to Vali's group, Ray sees the person he was previously fighting sneaking behind Vali's back. Ray immediately used a lightning armor to double his speed, feeling that it was not enough time for Ray to shake his hand to form a wind blade towards Vali. “Vali lowered her head..” shouted Ray after unleashing his magic.
Vali who heard Ray's screams immediately lowered his head in reflex, the wind blade cut off part of Vali's hair and slashed at the man who slipped behind him. Seeing the state of the people behind him Vali was horrified, “Fuck you Ray!!! What if that wind knife hits me!!!” Vali yells out a protest at Ray.
“Hei... You're okay, right? Don't protest as much as women.” Ray's words came to a halt when he saw Yuri, Elli, and even Miria glaring at him. “Ehemm.. Just take Yuri, Elli, and Miria to safety. And Vali bring this, destroy this ball and a protective shield will appear as long as the strength of the attacker is not higher than the level of the emperor his protector will not break.” Ray scatters a small ball the size of a bekel ball and shouts it at Vali, who is none other than the protective stone he bought from the System Shop
cost 40 Gold.
“Then what will you do Ray?” After receiving the protective stone Vali again asked Ray.
“Help Grandpa Estas, although with Slayer Sword grandfather will not be able to hold it for too long. Now you better go to a safe place.” Without waiting for a rebuttal or response from Vali and his group, Ray immediately darted towards the battle of Estas and Mephistopeles followed by Little Black.
Seeing Ray go to a dangerous battleground, Elli wants to catch up with him or at least stop him. Vali directly patted Elli's back neck making her faint, “Better we stay away from the battle, our existence will only disturb the concentration of grandfather and Ray.” Despite saying so Vali clasped tightly onto the Venom Sword that Ray had given him, he regretted how weak he was for the first time.
Ray and Little Black get closer to the battle areas of Estas and Mephistopeles. Seeing Ray's arrival, Estas felt her burden somewhat lifted. “Nak, how are the people below?” Ask Estas.
“Your grandson and the others are safe now, which we need to think about how to deal with the big monster that is in front of us.” Ray responded to Estas's question calmly.
“Then you go too, you are too young to die.” Ray was a bit shocked when Estas asked him to go save himself.
“Looks like you were right..” Estas let out a low breath.
