Ch. 179 - The Battle of Asa V
Ray took out his sword from his spatial ring, it was the Void Sword he used to fight against the Emperor-level Demon Beasts before. Ray took a deep breath and began to calm himself down, he looked at the Flame Chimera standing in front of him.
Other than his wings being destroyed by the surprise attack that Little Black had launched, the Flame Chimera had no injuries or other injuries as he could coat almost his entire body.
“Looking at its present state, it looks like this huge object could coat its entire body with scales except for the wings and the part of the levees where its wings are connected to its back.” Ray scanned the Flame Chimera closely, he could see only the unprotected portion of the Flame Chimera's wings.
“Let me see, what unprotected part is also difficult to penetrate.” Ray jumped up and directly ran attacking the Flame Chimera.
Ray did not use any strong movements and only slashed his sword with all his might, but due to the kinetic thrust from the moment he ran, his attacks were much stronger than usual.
“Baaaammm!!!” The Flame Chimera crossed both arms to withstand Ray's attack but instead made his body flung away due to Ray's attack power.
Ray who saw the Flame Chimera in flight, without wasting any time instantly used his full speed to rush towards the Flame Chimera's back that was still bouncing. Ray grasped the Void Sword with both hands and slashed right at the meeting of the Flame Chimera's wings and back and managed to make a large incision on the Flame Chimera's back that made his blood splash.
“It looks like you can't even protect all parts of your body, right? Since your weakness is already visible let's end this faster.” Ray again jumped up and stuck his sword into the incision on the Flame Chimera's back, then turned his sword and slashed it upwards splitting the Flame Chimera's head in half.
“Ding~~~ Welcome host successfully killed Emperor Level Flame Chimera (Unique Class). Get 175000 Exp.”
“Ding~~~ Welcome host levelled up. Status Point Bonus +5.”
“Ding~~~ Welcome host completes Main Mission [Mystery of the Deathly Forest] Part 2. Will the host receive the reward?”
“I felt guilty when I managed to defeat him quickly because James and Little Black had already managed to weaken to this level. Let it be, I'll repay them later... Receive Reward.”
“Ding~~~ Showing STATUS.”

“It looks like my abilities are improving again, now even if my status is calculated with the crystal ball prnggauge strength it might already be around the 330s? It's probably a little taller than Grandpa Estas's.” property Ray nodded in satisfaction with his improvement during his time in the Deathly Forest.
“When I was still on Earth, there were many people who believed the saying ‘every danger and problem will make someone stronger’ or such. Maybe it's really happening now?” Ray chuckled softly.
Ray felt his choice of going to the Deathly Forest provided a lot of improvement in his strength and also made Ray better understand the abilities he had. “But I still have to complete the main mission of this damn chain.” Mumbled Ray.
“Leave it for now, I'll just go see James and the others.” Ray turned around and intended to go see his group.
Ray was unaware as he turned around, the corpse of the Flame Chimera began to shrivel before disappearing and leaving behind only a drop of fiery red-colored blood. As Ray was intending to return to his group, the droplets of blood instantly shot up and entered Ray's body.
Ray felt something enter his body but did not know anything about it, before a tremendous pain invaded his body.
“AAArrrgghhhh....” Ray screamed loudly as he felt all the blood in his body boiling. Every muscle in his flesh was burned and restored only to be burned again. All the process was repetitive and torturing Ray endlessly.
