“About what Michele?” Ray asked Michele.
“Golden coating that was above the previous cake, is it Honey Golden Bee?” Michele asked the question with a slight hesitation.
“Iya the Honey Golden Bee. Is there a problem?” Ray relaxed back.
“Not that the material of making heal potion is quite difficult to get? And instead of Golden Bee living on the edge of a steep cliff?” Rain was quite shocked by Ray's relaxed reply, whereas the Golden Bee Honey was quite a valuable ingredient.
“I've already made the Golden Bee captive at the house I just bought, so this is no longer a rare item for me. Every day I could harvest at least two jars of honey and to make a cake as much as one tray only needed three tablespoons of honey. So I guess this will still get quite a profit if we sell one tray of cookies for ten to fifteen gold coins.” Ray answered casually as if making sure all his plans would work.
Hearing Ray's casual remarks made Michele stupefied, for Michele a profit of ten gold coins a week would already be a great advantage for a restaurant. But Ray casually mentions ten gold coins as if only ten copper coins makes Michele think that his business may be just a small insignificant item in front of Ray.
“Ray you mean that one tray could sell at least ten gold coins? Then how much profit can be obtained per day?” Michele begins to feel that Ray's plans will be very profitable and if successful will make a big change in his family's status. However, in this feudalistic society, the status of power and wealth would indicate the position of a family, and as long as he had enough wealth, nothing would interfere with his marriage to Rain.
“Many of it in just a day?” Michele was really surprised by the number Ray mentioned.
“Of course when we first sell Magic Food we can not immediately give a price that high. We start with a thirty percent discount during the initial month of sales, this is a fairly low price for Magic Food even lower than most Magic Food prices from Qin Empire as well as Azuma Empire. Although we will lose a little, this will also accelerate our promotion, because the news of Magic Food will spread faster from mouth to mouth.” Ray explained his original plan.
“Thirty percent discount for a month?” Michele thought the thing Ray said was almost meaningless, as the profit after the price was cut by thirty percent was still double.
“Most Magic Food prices from Qin Empire and Azuma Empire are around nine to twenty gold coins per serving, and even that is only available in their empire only, this was because they were worried that the ability to make Magic Food would spread to other kingdoms. Therefore the development of Magic Food is very minimal in Silver Moon Kingdom and Gizakia Kingdom.” Ray.
“You are right, although the method of making Magic Food is not as valuable as the Alchemist and Blacksmith methods but arguably difficult to obtain after the great war a thousand years ago.” Michele responded.
