Ch. 174 - Decision

The Outer Region and Inner Region Border of the Deathly Forest.

Now Ray's group had returned from the inner region of the Deathly Forest and had been in the outer region of the death forest. Ever since deciding to return to the outer region of the Deathly Forest, Ray felt a bad premonition that continued to haunt him.

“Will, Vali, we better hurry to the outer region of the Deathly Forest as soon as possible. I was worried that something bad would happen to Yuri's group and the other students.” Ray decides to tell Vali and William about his bad premonition.

“What maxu-“ Vali wanted to ask Ray's intentions but was stopped by William.

“Vali better we follow Ray alone, in terms of the ability to detect energy or something, Ray is much better than us. In addition, if what Ray says is true to happen we no longer have time to talk nonsense here.” William immediately told the others to rush to the outer region of the Deathly Forest.

“Alright, now let's hurry to the outer region.” Ray immediately accelerated his pace and was followed by his group members.

The Outer Region of the Deathly Forest, the Yuri Group.

At the moment James is thinking about what might be done to get through this issue. “If this is really an Emperor Level Demon Beast, maybe we can't save ourselves.”

“Is there really no chance?” Yuri asked with a worried tone.

James was silent for a while, in fact he was still holding some half-finished Water Bombs that Ray had given him. But using this means they have no other choice, moreover the Water Bomb being held was extremely unstable so if he wanted to use it then he would have to stay away from the other students and instructors.

“Actually I still have one way, but I might not be able to follow you guys back to Border Post.” James rounded up his resolve, with his strength now holding back the Demon Beast for ten minutes was enough. And if James doesn't manage to survive until Ray comes to his aid, he can use the Water Bomb to draw the Demon Beast to the afterlife with him.

“James, don't tell me you want to blow yourself up?” Ryan was deeply dissatisfied with the advice James gave, however James was his nephew even though he did not want to bear the name Evans.

“There is no need to persuade me anymore, as long as I am at the Border Post I have many friends who view me as equal and do not demean me. Also, it seems strange to call a 16-year-old a teacher, but he has taught me the meaning of life and the truth I have been seeking. So at least if I die now, it's still worth it.”

James remembers his past, even though he is still a descendant of the Evans Family but in reality people view him as a lowly dog. In addition to Steve Evans, Lilliana Evans and Ryan Evans no one else recognizes him as a human let alone a family, therefore he decided to reject the name ‘Evans’ that Steve Evans wants to give him.

“Uncle Ryan, you don't have to persuade anymore. Who do you think besides me can do this without causing any major problems? Every student and instructor has a noble identity that if one of them dies will cause trouble for the royal family.” James explained another reason why he decided to sacrifice himself.

“Kyu... kyu.. kyu Little Black who had heard all the three-way conversations of Yuri, James, and Ryan, flew towards James in his small form then wrapped himself in James's hands, as if saying ‘I will help you, so you don't have to worry about dying or anything like that.’

“Hahaha... Thank you Little Black, but you have to keep Yuri and the others safe.” James was delighted and touched by Little Black's actions but still rejected them.

“Mr James, take Little Black with you. At least that's all we can do to help you, and for our security concerns. Do you think ten King Level experts are still not enough to return to the Border Post?” Yuri finally spoke up and persuaded James to bring Little Black.

James was still intending to turn down Little Black's help, but be it Ryan, Yuri, and the other instructors were constantly forcing him to take Litlle Black with him. At least with Little Black's help, the chances for James to survive were still much higher.

“Alright, I'll bring Little Black with me.” Finally after much urging and requests, James accepted the advice of Yuri and the others to take Little Black with him.

“Get this.” Schnee handed James two Recovery Potions.

“Come back safely, because I don't want to lose a friend here.” Syr who was behind Schnee also reminded James to return safely.

“True, please return safely Mr. James. There are still many people outside this Deathly Forest waiting for you to return.” Yuri said to encourage James.

“Thanks, everyone. I will buy as much time as possible and try to return to Border Post safely.” James thanked him and walked towards the Emperor-level Demon Beast.

Meanwhile the students and instructors who saw him went silent for a moment, before continuing their journey to the Border Post.

Oh, yes yesterday Thursday I was too tired after coming home from work so there was no uodate for Friday yesterday. As for the update of this work itself, I can not promise a definite update schedule but I will definitely update immediately if it is finished typing it.
