The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Whatever, I'm Not Mama

The knock that was anchored to the door managed to attract Kinara's attention. He who had been sitting pensively thinking about the fate of life in the future immediately poured all his attention on the door of the room.

Mom backed away from behind the open door. Although with a visible tired face, the woman can still sing a sincere smile for her only daughter.

"Milk." Mama said while showing a glass of white milk in her hand to Kinara.

Mama walked over, put the glass of milk on the nightstand then sat down on the edge of the mattress and stretched out her hand to gently caress the strands of Kinara's hair that had been allowed to grow up to the back.

"Everything's good, right?" ask Mama while rubbing Kinara's cheek gently.

"So far, yes." Kinara answered according to what was in her head. "May the future also remain good, yes, Ma."

"Definitely dear." Mama tried to convince Kinara and herself. "Everything will go well as long as we are together."

What Kinara was worried about was actually not about money. Because from the past, no matter how much money was made by Papa, Kinara never enjoyed it excessively. What concerns Kinara is about whether they can get through this difficult time together. Kinara was just afraid that the difficult circumstances they were facing right now would change things.

"Ma," call Kinara slowly.

"Why, baby?"

"Tonight, Kinara wants to sleep with Mama. Can you?" because tonight, Kinara wants to embrace her first love tightly. Is correct. Kinara's first love was not Papa, but Mama. For some reason, Kinara was indeed in love with the woman who had given birth to him. No matter how well you act as a husband and father. For Kinara, Mama remains number one.

"Can." My mother answered without hesitation. "Before going to bed, drink the milk first. Mom goes to the room and tell Papa."

Then Mama moved after giving a glass of milk to Kinara.

Kinara only looked at the glass in his hand for a long time. Until finally, he began to sip the milk that had begun to cool slowly. Enjoy the sweet taste that touches every inch of his tongue.

"Anything that will be lost from my life, that's okay, as long as it's not Mama."

...****************...

The sun had risen, its rays burst through the slit of the slightly open window until it hit Kinara's face, making her grimace as the heat generated from the sunlight was enough to make her uncomfortable.

Kinara blinked a few times before finally managing to open her eyes completely. And her smile could not be held back when she found Mama still beside her.

Last night, Kinara did ask Mama not to leave her before she woke up. Kinara wanted when she opened her eyes, Mama was the first person she saw. As always, my mother always granted me her request.

"Morning, baby." Say hello to Mama while opening her eyes slowly.

Kinara smiled broadly. Directly landed a kiss on Mama's cheek and a small giggle as the woman rewarded him with three kisses on the forehead.

"What breakfast are you having today?" ask Mama still in a lying position.

But instead of replying, Kinara turned her head towards Mama and began to wrap her arms around her waist and hold her tightly. His face he hid in Mama's chest, while his nose coolly sipped the aroma of soap that still smelled even after being taken to sleep all night.

Several times Kinara asked, what is the secret behind the fragrant fragrant that continues to come out of Mama's body even though the woman was bathed in sweat. But my mother's answer was always the same. The woman said her secret was to take a shower.

Kinara was obviously upset by the answer because she knew very well that the answer that Mama had was a syndication for her who sometimes lazy to take a bath.

"Had breakfast whatever would have stuck to Mama like this." Mama's Protest. But the woman still returned Kinara's embrace. "You want to be Mama's breakfast menu?"

That nyeleneh question from Mama certainly made Kinara immediately withdraw from the embrace. He looked at Mama with perfect eyes. "Emang Mama thinks I'm Sumanti?" ask her with a contemptuous tone.

"Sumanto, kali!" sergeant Mama.

But Kinara shook her head. "Sumanto is a boy, Kinara is a girl, so his name is Sumanti."

"Ma," call Kinara in a voice that's too spoiled.

"What, Kinaraaaa." Mom gaunty. The pinching of Kinara's cheeks were a little more tapered to the point of making the owner grimace in pain.

"Sickness, uh!" his protest. But Mama even added one more pinch.

"Mama!" Kinara smacked Mama's hand slowly and Mama just laughed in response.

"You're finally gnarling."

Kinara advancing lips. I can't believe Mama saying she's adorable. Because what the woman says is usually a subtle syndication to her.

"Why, anyway?" mama asked as she pulled Kinara's body back into her arms. "Why did you call Mama?"

"Kinara wants to go to bed again." Kinara's voice was slightly muffled as her face was completely sunk in Mama's chest.

"Yes, just sleep." Mama responded casually.

"But Nara wants to sleep while hugging Mama." Kinara lifted her face, looking at Mama fixedly.

For a moment, Mama was silent. Kinara waited patiently while diving into Mama's clear eyes that never revealed a flash of anger. Because never angry, Kinara once thought that Mama is not a human, but an angel sent by God to take care of a spoiled child like himself.

Then, when Mama nodded her head slowly, Kinara immediately hugged Mama as tightly as she could.

Mama chuckled at Kinara's sudden behavior becoming spoiled. Actually not suddenly, only rarely did Kinara show spoiled behavior like now. On many occasions, Mama found Kinara to be much more mature than her age.

"Ma, uh,"

"What else?"

"Mom don't go anywhere, huh? Same Kinara continues."

Being asked such a question, Mama certainly took longer to answer. Because, how would he answer something that he could not confirm yet?

As a mother, Mama would want to be able to continue to be on Kinara's side. Accompanying the princess only wayangnya it through every phase in life that comes alternately. But, Mama is clearly aware that everything in this world belongs to God. So really only God knows how their way forward will be.

Feeling unable to get an answer, Kinara turned her face away, only to find Mama staring at her with a glaring flash of sadness. Kinara was obviously surprised, as this was the first time she saw that sad lightning in Mama's eyes.

"Ma?"

"Yes, honey. My mom is not going anywhere. Mama's gonna be next to Kinara, Kinara's tenin continues."

After the sentence was over, Mama hugged Kinara tighter than before. The peaking of Kinara's head while chanting prayers in the heart, may God please allow her to live a little longer in order to accompany Kinara, at least until their condition improves.

Whatever is missing, as long as it is not the figure of the mother, I can still take it with a spacious chest.
