The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Meet Mother

Sagara's deadline is running out, but Sekala still has not managed to gather the courage to come to the hospital and meet Mom.

Now, inside his study, Sekala was busy pacing around for almost half an hour, thinking of a reasonable enough reason for him to tell Sagara that the man wanted to give her some extra time.

But, thinking as much as possible, Sekala finally knew that there was no reason Sagara would accept, because the man would never listen to him.

Once stopped from pacing activities, glancing at the clock on his left hand which now shows at six o'clock past thirteen minutes. A trip to the hospital would take approximately forty-five minutes, so he had less than an hour to convince himself. Something that sounds impossible because the guts are still so shrunk.

If you can be honest, Sekala is not afraid of the threat of Sagara which he said will finish him and send him to hell. Because from a long time ago, he knew that Sagara was a good person. The man will not be up to the heart to do so. Instead, Sekala was afraid that Sagara would forbid him to meet with Mother, if today he did not actually come to visit the woman.

"Mass?"

Looking towards the door. There, Kinara was already standing on the side of the slightly open door. In his right hand was a small plastic bag that had no idea what it contained.

"Why, Kin? Just come in if you need to talk to me." At once let Kinara in because it seemed like the girl needed to talk.

The one who was welcome did not immediately enter, instead was fixated long enough to look at him, then let out a long sigh. After that, Kinara stepped closer. The plastic bag that was brought, placed on the table, then the girl looked back at him closely.

"Why?" ask again, in a softer tone than before.

"I got a report from Mas Jer that Mas Kala hasn't eaten since noon." Said the girl, her eyes started to turn a little fierce. "Why not eat? What will it hurt like?" he continued, it has begun to activate a protective mode, similar to mothers.

"Let me eat,"

"When later?" Kinara. "Wait for the stomach acid to go up first? Wait limp first? Wait to faint, just want to eat?" cerocos Kinara's. No pauses, no commas. Makes Sekala sigh slowly.

"Eat, I'm temenin." Sekala's arm was pulled, then her body was sat on a chair and Kinara moved to remove the contents in a plastic bag on the table, which turned out to be a box of ready-to-eat food.

"Nih," Kinara thrust a spoon after opening the lid of the lunchbox, while Sekala even bengong look at him, not reaching for the spoon.

"Why? Need me a bribe?" Kinara was ready to feed a spoonful of food into Sekala's mouth, should the man agree.

However, Sekala even grabbed the spoon, then put it back on the table.

"Mas," Kinara's eyes somewhat glared.

"Wait, Kin. Don't be angry yet" Sekala tried to calm Kinara, who had almost come out red horns from both sides of her head. "I need your help first" he continued.

Hearing that Sekala needed help, Kinara's gaze immediately changed. The ferocious rage he threw away, replaced with a friendly look and a gentle gaze.

"Come, say. What kind of help do you need?" tanyakanya.

He was silent for a moment, to choose where he should begin his story. Then, when he got it, he opened his mouth to talk.

"Yesterday Mas Saga asked me to come to the hospital to see Mom," he said.

Kinara. "Yes, continues?"

"I was given a 1x24 hour deadline to arrive. If in 1x24 hours I do not come, Mas Saga will make the same calculation with me."

She gasped as Kinara pulled her arm, asking her to stand up immediately. "Come, we're leaving now." Said the girl.

"Wait a minute, Kin, wait." Sekala pulled back her arm, as well as asking Kinara to return to her position.

"Wait what, anyway, Mas? The time has passed, I do not want the guy who yesterday mukulin Mas Kala again."

"I ... fear, Kin." Sekala's gaze turned soft, making Kinara who was originally so excited, now actually exhaled loudly before reaching for Sekala's hand and then grasping it tightly.

"Fear what? Kan, there I am. I accompanied Mas Kala there," he said. Trying to convince Sekala that it is okay if from now on the man depends on him.

The hand that was in Kinara's grasp was looking at him for quite a while, until then he looked back at Kinara. "You .. Doesn't matter?" tanyakanya.

To that question, Kinara stretched out a thin centum before giving an answer. "I accompany Mas Kala everywhere, to solve any problem."

Once again, Sekala looked at the hands of those who clasped each other. Then, he took a deep breath and moved slowly up from his seat.

"Please don't let go of my hand as long as we're there, yeah, Kin." Her request.

Kinara did not take time to think. The girl immediately nodded with so much spirit.

"I stayed until the end" said the girl. Then, they walked in tandem out of the room whose lights were deliberately not lit.

As soon as they walked past the cashier table that was currently guarded by Jeremy, they immediately pelted the gaze as well as the seductive smile of the young man.

"Faith, Kin. I handle here, if necessary until closed also no problem." Jeremy said, even before Kinara managed to open her mouth. The young man's gaze was clearly fixed on Kinara and Sekala's hands.

Hearing that, Kinara smiled, then continued on her steps, making sure her hand and Sekala did not come off, so that this man beside her could feel a little calmer.

...****************...

Kinara kept his promise. The girl really did not let go of her hand even until now they had arrived at the hospital.

They were still in the car now, and Kinara decided to give Sekala a little more time to round off the intention of meeting her mother.

"I ... definitely can, right, Kin?" ask Sekala.

Kinara nodded immediately. "There's me," I don't know how many times Kinara said that. But he was not bored at all. He will continue to say that to Sekala, many times, even if necessary to make Sekala's ears hot. As long as the man understands that now, there will really be himself on the side of Sekala.

"Down now?" ask Kinara. They had been in the car for almost fifteen minutes. The time they have is getting thinner, so they should hurry up.

Nodding at once. After taking a deep breath, they got out of the car.

And, the hand grip was actually not removed. Kinara willingly bothered to get off the driver side door just to keep them hand in hand.

Walking for a few minutes, they finally reached the floor where the nursery of Sekala's mother was located. Along the way down the hall, Kinara felt Sekala's hand grip tighten. The palm of the man's hand also felt wet, and Kinara could feel Sekala's body trembling slightly.

So, as a form of his effort to calm Sekala, Kinara used one hand that did not link to Sekala's to rub the man's arm.

"Everything's gonna be okay, 'cause I'm here." Kinara Brief.

Sekala looked at Kinara for a while, then nodded then resumed his steps.

When they finally arrived in front of the intended nursery, Sekala looked at Kinara again, as if wanting to be convinced once more.

So Kinara nodded and smiled.

Take a deep breath. His wet hands and still slightly trembling he stretched out, touching the doorknob that strangely felt so cold.

Then, the doorknob was moved slowly so that the door in front of them opened. From the gap, Sekala could see the mother who was half lying on the bed. There is no Sagara next to the bed, and it makes Sekala worry because Sagara can appear from anywhere.

After reassuring himself once more, Sekala began to step inside. The Kinara he was holding was also coming in, following his short-swinging steps.

Just as their bodies managed to enter, Sekala stopped his steps when the figure of Sagara actually appeared from behind the bathroom door. Their gazes met, and there was absolutely no friendliness from the gaze that Sagara cast.

"Come in" Sagara ordered. It made Mother who initially concentrated on watching television and did not realize the presence of Sekala practically turned her head. The woman's smile rose so wide and sincere when she found the figure of Sekala standing in the doorway, with a girl in her arms.

"Dik" called Seruni, Sekala's mother, so quietly and gently. "here," he continued, while trying to enforce his sitting position.

Sekala glanced at Kinara who was standing next to her for a while, then walked up to her mother's bed.

"Sorry, Sekala did not have time to bring anything for Mom," said Sekala. He glanced at Sagara who was now standing on the opposite side of the bed, staring at him flat with both hands folded in front of his chest.

"It's okay, sister has come, I'm happy." Seruni's smile grew. The motherly gaze that was so sincere that instead of making Sekala happy, even returned to present pain that was too difficult to explain.

Seruni's gaze then turned to Kinara. She scanned the girl from head to toe, and her smile grew brighter as her gaze reached the hands of Sekala and Kinara who were clinging to each other. Then, he looked back at Sekala.

"Who is this beautiful child?" tanyakanya.

"Friend," Sekala replied without hesitation.

On the other side, Sagara raised next to his eyebrows. Because, he knows very well what Sekala is like. How could the boy possibly hold someone who he says is just a friend, even so tightly? I have never been good at lying in the past.

Meanwhile, Kinara was not at all bothered when Sekala called him a friend. Because it wants to be considered as anything by Sekala, it will not dampen his intention to keep accompanying the man.

"Smart you look for friends" said Seruni, giving a different tone when calling the word friend.

"What's your mom sick?" Sekala trying to break the discussion about friends until there. "It's definitely not the same as Dr. Anne said, right?"

Diomeli said so, Seruni even chuckled. "For none of you are angry, brother. Mas-mu is very weak if the same Mother, do not dare to be angry like you, so Mother becomes more stubborn." His sister, while glancing towards Sagara who even melengos.

"Mom can't do that" said slowly. "What's at home right now is only Mas Saga, so I have to hear what Mas Saga said, don't be reckless."

"Well, there he is, Dik," Seruni glanced at Saga for a moment, then looked back fixedly. "Home home, yuk, let someone get angry again with Mom?" her door.

Vaguely, Sagara's voice rattled. However, neither Sekala nor Seruni tried to anchor their attention to Sagara knowing that the man would not like it. Unlike the case with Kinara who did not understand the situation, and instead looked at Sagara long enough.

"You, yeah, go home?" Memelas seruni.

However, Sekala stubbornly still shook his head. "When you have your own home, dear if not occupied. Anyway, it's a long way to go back and forth to Orion from Mom's house."

Believe me, it's just an excuse. Because both Seruni and Sagara clearly know that that is not what underlies Sekala's reluctance to return home.

Seruni glumly, making Sagara who saw him again feel annoyed. Sometimes, she felt that her mother was much more loving to Sekala who was not even born from her womb.

"Not to be forced if you don't want to." Sela Sagara's. "Somehow, he's so big, let him choose his own way of life."

Seruni looked at her first child, then sighed softly. "You're fierce, Mas, that's why Brother doesn't want to go home."

"What's wrong, what's wrong?" Sagara pointed at himself. Damn it, Seruni nodded.

"Don't be so fierce, Mas, let Sister not be afraid."

Sagara looked cynically at Sekala, then again threw away his face. From the beginning, Mom was like this. Always tell him not to be evil to Sekala. He said, pity, the boy has no one left.

Especially after Father died a few years later after the first day Sekala was brought home, Mother increasingly warned herself to love Sekala like her own siblings.

"Saga's going out for a second, gonna smoke." Pamit Sagara later. He didn't wait until Mom agreed, and directly barged out of the inpatient room.

In a matter of seconds, Sagara's figure had already disappeared from before everyone.

Of the three of them, Kinara was the only one who stared at Sagara's departure for quite a long time. Until then, he looked at Sekala for a while before saying, "I can also go out for a while?" because he thought, Sekala needs time to talk alone with her mother.

At first, Sekala seemed to object, but after they looked at each other for a while, the man finally nodded his head after exhaling softly.

The grip of the hand that had not been separated, slowly loosened until finally the two hands of different sizes were completely separated.

"I'll go out for a minute, yeah, Mom." Pamit Kinara told Seruni, and the woman agreed with a nod of her head.

"I'll be back later if Mas Kala is finished" he whispered to Sekala.

"Yes," Sekala replied softly. Even though in fact, he was not at all willing if Kinara went from before him.

Then Kinara turned around, began to swing his way towards the exit, while preparing himself in case he would face Sagara outside.
