Arriving at home, Kinara was greeted by Papa and Atha who immediately ran across her as soon as she set foot on the ground.
Papa grabbed his arm, in the blink of an eye the man had focused on researching every corner of his body to check if any part of his body was injured.
While Atha could only stare worriedly without daring to move closer. The regret was still evident from the look in her eyes, but Kinara tried to ignore it for now. Because the pain in his heart must be dealt with first.
"Where are you from? Why just come home? How come Papa's with Mama?" papa after finding no physical injury on his daughter's body.
Not wanting to make Papa even more worried, Kinara tried to put on a smile even though she actually wanted to cry again now. The presence of Atha here is not a good thing, which actually makes the atmosphere of his heart more and more unwavering.
"Sorry, Nara was playing to a friend's house and kept chatting, so forgot to chat. Hape Nara's dead too, battery drained." His lie. Though his phone was deliberately turned off so that Atha did not constantly call him. He also did not want to get the same phone from Dahayu, because more than Atha, the girl would definitely try harder to find her whereabouts.
"Which friend's house?" Atha who had been silent had finally dared to make a sound.
Kinara glanced at Atha then pulled Papa's arm to head inside the house after answering Atha's short question.
"So, you don't know."
Kinara and her father had already reached the front door, but Atha still could not catch up because her legs suddenly felt stiff. Or perhaps, he no longer had the courage to be at close range with the girl.
Before Kinara and Papa's body completely disappeared behind the door, Kinara stopped her steps and hinted to Papa to enter first. Papa said, after looking briefly at Atha, the man rushed into the house.
After Papa came in, Kinara turned her back. As much as he can withstand the emotions so as not to regain control of himself. Because, he did not want to drain his energy to get angry or cry, especially if he had to do it in front of this young man. Big no's.
"Well, you go home." He said in the lowest possible tone. He said that without looking into Atha's eyes at all, because if he did, the tears he had so hard-earned he would soon scatter out.
Without waiting for Atha's reply, Kinara turned around waiting for the young man. Then he closed the door tightly and immediately turned the key.
Afterwards, Kinara spent a long time speechless with her back pressed against the door, pulling and exhaling many times while continuing to tell herself not to cry anymore.
Because, what needs to be mourned from two people who turned out not so good to him? There aren't. Kinara should be grateful that God immediately showed her what the two people really looked like, before her feelings got further and her hopes grew higher.
Later, Mama appeared from behind the kitchen door and approached her. The woman looked at him worriedly, but asked nothing and just thrust a glass of water at him and grabbed the bag of crackles and the bag he was carrying.
Kinara received the glass and immediately gulped down the water in it until half the toilet. "Thank you, Mama." He said, resigned when Mama asked for the glass again and then put it on the living room table.
"Udah," Kinara replied slowly. Earlier, while at Andanu's house, he had put two spoons of rice in his mouth. Can't that be said as eating? So he wasn't lying to Mama?
"Yes, you rest now." Mama leads Kinara to her room, but the girl holds her hand.
"That's dirty clothes, Nara wants to wash first." Kinara said while pointing at the bag of crackles in Mama's hand.
Mama followed Kinara's index finger for a bit, then looked back at her daughter while putting on a thin smile. "Let Mama. You rest now." Then Mama pushed back Kinara and the girl complied without giving any resistance.
"If it's anything butu, call Mama straight away, okay?" mama said while putting Kinara's bag on the study table.
Kinara simply nodded while trying to stretch out a smile. Though the fake smile was completely useless because as a mother, Mama clearly knew that Kinara was not doing well.
However, Mama still returned Kinara's smile and soon left Kinara's room after putting a gentle rub on her daughter's head.
After Mama left, Kinara walked over to the bed. He sat himself on the outskirts, staring softly at the wall of his room that was like it was rewinding the incident this afternoon.
It still feels like a dream. The nightmare he hoped would be over when he opened his eyes and returned to his conscious.
They were fine this morning. He could still gently caress Atha's head like he used to do to help the young man wipe out his grief. He could still hold the young man's hand, thinking that they would never be separated if not for the death that came to pick him up.
They are okay, but why is this happening?
What's wrong? Where was the mistake he had made that he ended up being hurt by two people he really believed in?
Not intentionally? Drunken up? Kinara could not even find the slightest justification to understand what Atha and Dahayu had done.
No matter how much he convinced himself and tried to give a proclamation, he still could not. Because, Kinara believed that all the bad things could have been prevented if Atha and Dahayu really wanted to. If the two people never intend to step closer to each other.
Again, what's wrong?
Without feeling it, Kinara's tears fell again. She cried, sobbing without knowing that Mama was still in front of her room. The woman had not yet moved, and now could only hold back her own cries so as not to break when she heard the princess just cry roaring with sadness.
