The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Thank You

Kinara smiled in satisfaction after successfully receiving one more order. Even though it was a bit difficult at first, but thanks to Sekala who stood by his side and taught him patiently, Kinara was able to adapt faster.

Andanu had been home since an hour and a half ago, after spending a cup of Caramel Macchiato and two pieces of Strawberry Pistachio.

Now at eight o'clock, the cafe is getting crowded until now only one table is left at the corner near the glass window that is still empty uninhabited.

"Cafes are usually this crowded, huh, Mas?" he asked Sekala who was still loyal to stand beside him.

Once who was checking something through his phone raised his head, then turned to Kinara while putting his phone on the counter table.

"Not always, anyway. There was also a time when no one came to the cafe for hours after lunch was over."

"Oh, huh?"

Once nodding, while throwing a glance at the glass entrance that makes it able to look at the road across which is still crowded and passing vehicles.

"Can't you?"

I looked at Kinara again. Then, he smiled faintly before answering the girl's question.

"Ardi accidentally turned Open into Close. As a result, no visitors came even though the cafe is still open."

Recalling the incident a few weeks ago it made Sekala giggle amused. Perhaps because of too much thought, or indeed being out of focus, Ardi accidentally turned the signboard hanging on the door, make people who want to visit the cafe automatically turn around because in the marker it is written that the cafe is closed.

Was Sekala angry that Ardi had made their cafe lose a lot of visitors that day?

The answer is no.

The young man patted Ardi on the shoulder and told the employee to rest. He said that the windfall rotates according to what God has arranged. As humans, we just need to exert effort to make that windfall come their way a little faster.

"Mas Ardi was careless as well huh, it turns out." Kinara.

He nodded, then looked at her again. "After all, he was still an ordinary human being who could make mistakes."

Kinara nodded her head. It is not man's name if it does not escape error. Only, he believed that there were some mistakes that could have been avoided if they were to use their brains a little more. As in the case of Dahayu and Atha, for example.

Ah ... Why did he think of those two again?

"Mas Kala always comes to the cafe every day?" tanyanya, trying to shift her own focus so as not to return to the memory of her relationship with Atha and Dahayu which is already irreparable.

"If there's no other work, I'm definitely on standby here."

"Pantes, man,"

Raised next to his eyebrows. "Pantes why?" tanyanya.

"Mas Kala knows why the cafe is always crowded, and most visitors are students from my campus?"

He seemed to think for a moment before answering. "Because the food is good, and the place is comfortable to use hanging out or doing chores?" guess what, based on what did come out of the analysis.

However, Kinara shook her head instead making the wrinkles on her forehead appear little by little.

"You mean, the food here isn't good and the place isn't comfortable?"

Kinara shook her head again. "The food here is delicious, and the place is also comfortable. But ... " Kinara gave a short pause, only to change his position so that he could face Sekala while folding his hands in front of his chest.

"Those people came here to see the handsome and charming Mas Kala." He said, without realizing it had managed to make Sekala again feel a strange rumble in his chest.

"Ngawur," said Sekala, shaking her hand in front of Kinara's face, then reaching for her phone and searching for it.

"Alaaahhh no need to pretend, Mas. Mas Kala knows, right, that Mas Kala is handsome? Hence Mas Kala often come to the cafe so that people can enjoy the excitement of Mas Kala. Yeah, right?"

Duh .. can not if Sekala raised Kinara's small body and locked this chatty girl in the employee's luggage storage locker? As the longer he heard Kinara's temptation, Sekala felt his heart almost explode.

"No, I didn't answer, anyway? Shame yaaa? Don't be ashamed, Mas Kala. Kan, I told you that Mas Kala is indeed handsome. Wh-"

"Kin!"

Kinara almost fell backward because of the evasive reflex when Sekala looked at him and made their body distance very close.

"Don't seduce me, or I throw you on that Flamboyant tree, let's assume the same kuntilanak visitors." Threatening Sekala, which unfortunately did not succeed in making Kinara afraid.

The girl instead chuckled, then with a innocent look, as if nothing had happened, she returned behind the cashier to receive an order from a customer who had just arrived.

Then after finishing receiving the order, Kinara again inched towards Sekala, who was still staring at him sharply.

"Thank you, yes, Mas Kala." He said suddenly, making Sekala's sharp gaze instantly turn into a puzzled look.

"Thank you for what?"

"Thank you for that night, Mas Kala has invited me to talk."

That night ... this definitely refers to their first meeting on the pedestrian bridge. But, why would Kinara thank you? Did this nosy girl actually intend to jump from the bridge crossing at that time?

"You don't"

"No, Mas Kala .." sela Kinara, who seems to know what the contents of Sekala's head are at this time.

"That night I had no intention of jumping. I still want to live a long life, to realize some of my simple dreams."

"Thank God, then," As he drew his gaze, threw it far away towards the road that was still filled with vehicles.

Often times I wonder, what would those people be looking for in this world? Are they just like him, who has no home to go home to prefer to wander the streets?

"Thanks to Mas Kala, my dreams grew by one." Said Kinara, making Once turn his head back towards her.

But, now it was Kinara who was seen throwing her gaze towards the streets.

"I want to be like Mas Kala, who is independent and self-supporting and helps a few people find a way to make a living."

Just listen to Kinara's words patiently, while researching every corner of the face looks next to the girl.

"Since Mas Kala has helped me find one more reason to survive, I thank you."

As Kinara turned his head and their gazes met and the lips of the girl were raised upwards forming a smile that was so beautiful, Sekala quietly whispered to herself. Saying that it's not just Kinara who should be grateful.

Because that night, if you hadn't met this girl, Sekala would have been dead.

Yes, it was not Kinara who intended to jump from the pedestrian bridge that night, but him.

Heavy on the head and loud noises that keep pestering for days, making his sleep not soundly and whatever he swallowed ended up spewing back has succeeded in making Sekala think that dying might be the best way.

Then came Kinara, like an angel sent by God to convince her that in this world, there were still things she should be grateful for. That life is not as sad as that, if we want to change a little our perspective on the flow of life that we are living.

"I'm also grateful that you decided to stay alive" said Sekala, closing with a sweet smile and a soft pat on Kinara's head.
