The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Broken

While being serious about teaching Lestari to do math multiplication tasks, Kinara was forced to stop her activities because her bedroom door was knocked several times. He and Lestari looked at each other for a while, before they both turned to the door, where Mama appeared with a facial expression that was too difficult to translate.

"Still long?" ask Mama.

"Three more, why?" Kinara asked back, because she felt that there was something strange about Mama. It was as if she was holding back from saying something. Or perhaps, he was having trouble finding a way to convey it.

Mama was seen taking a deep breath before opening her mouth, making Kinara even more convinced that what the woman was about to say was not something pleasant to hear.

"There's Atha in front."

And it's true. When the name of Atha was mentioned, Kinara again felt the tightness fill her chest. Feelings of pain and pain that initially can be a little forgotten because the presence of Lestari suddenly relapsed again. The bad news is that the feeling returns with many times more powerful effects. Squeezing Kinara's chest was more intense.

"Mama doesn't know you have any problems with Atha anymore, but since she gave up her time to come here, it's good if you meet her first. At least tell yourself that you don't want to see him for a while, so as not to offend him."

But, to face Atha is not as easy as before, Ma. Kinara lamented inwardly. Nevertheless, he still got up from his seat, codifying Lestari to wait for a while as he finished his affairs with Atha. After the boy nodded, Kinara walked towards the door.

"Please help meenin Lestari for a moment" said Kinara when passing Mama who was still standing in the doorway.

Mama had not had time to answer because Kinara immediately shot up at full speed, as if not willing to waste a single precious second of her life.

As Kinara moved closer to where Atha was, the pain grew more excruciating. Kinara squeezed the end of the shirt she was wearing, hoping that the painful feeling could slightly move to the fibers of the cloth she was wearing.

From the opening of the door, Kinara could see the presence of Atha's motorbike parked next to her car. Now, he was a little sorry for having parked his car a little to the edge this afternoon. Because if only he parked his car as usual, Atha's bike probably wouldn't have had the space to appear so confident there.

Before her steps actually reached the door, Kinara slowed down her swing while taking in and exhaling regularly. All the good and bad memories milling around in the head, making his attempt to remain calm ended in vain.

Because just as her eyes caught the presence of Atha sitting alone on the porch of the house with both hands clinging to each other, Kinara got a strong urge to kick the man's head until it almost broke off. That much he felt annoyed and angry at Atha right now. But in reality, he could only stay in place when Atha turned and their gazes met.

"Ra," Atha got up from the chair in a hasty motion, almost making the wooden chair fall backwards if not while holding it when he got up.

"You what?" asked Kinara, with a tone of voice and a flat eye.

"We need to talk, about"

"Please, Ra. Give me another chance. You know I didn't mean it, I-"

"Stop!" sergeant Kinara. His attempts to restrain his emotions had completely failed. Atha who appeared before him now looked like a common male bastard, who was still constantly looking for reasons to save himself, he said, seeking justification for every mistake he made and begging for proclamation.

The Atha standing before him was now completely different from the Atha he had known for so many years. Kinara could hardly find the figure of Atha that made her fall in love like a madman before. There, now Kinara was really fed up and hated this young man.

"Just take responsibility for what you've done, Tha. Don't talk much and try to find a defense!" kinara's tone of voice increased significantly. He was too upset, too emotional to just remember that Mama could have heard his screams.

"Why pregnant, your child! Then what else do you expect from me?! You want me to accept you again, and keep our relationship going when there's one more life you have to answer for, right?!" one tear drop suddenly fell down without Kinara being able to avoid. His chest tightened, his breathing puffed.

"Please, Tha .. please, don't believe me." The volume of Kinara's voice decreased drastically, she also lowered her head to hide her tears that were beginning to fall down. "Please don't run away from responsibilities and make me hate you even more." The words were clear, almost inaudible.

Atha was stiff in place. A long time ago, seeing Kinara cry was her biggest weakness. And now, he had to see the girl he loved the most crying, and the cause was him.

In the past day, when Kinara was crying so intensely before her eyes, Atha did not need much time to think. He would instantly pull Kinara into his arms, patting the girl's back until her cries subsided. But because now the situation is different, Atha can only accept when she can not do much to help. Because he finally knew, the more he walked closer, the injuries Kinara suffered would be even greater.

The cry of Kinara that became more and more apparently reached the ears of Mama, too, so that the woman appeared from behind the door of the room in a hurry to approach the princess only wayangnya who was sobbing alone in the doorway.

"It's ok, Nara. Mama's here." Whisper Mama after grabbing Kinara into her arms.

Mama glances at Atha at a glance, trying to get an answer about what happened to her daughter. But the young man was just mute with teary eyes, as if he was ready to cry too.

Because the cry of Kinara never subsided and Atha also did not give any explanation, Mama finally took the best step according to him. That is by telling Atha to go home immediately so that she can calm Kinara down.

"Tha, you go home first, son." Mama said in a soft voice.

Atha geming's. He looked at Kinara who was still sobbing for quite a long time, before finally sighing heavily and moving closer, only to kiss Mama's hand then turn around quickly.

In the end, Atha left Kinara's residence with a bruised heart and a feeling of guilt that she might carry to death.
