The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Candle Light Dinner

After Isya, exactly at seven hours and sixteen minutes, Atha actually came to pick up Kinara at her home. The young man's appearance was quite neat. With navy short-sleeved shirt suit and khaki color material pants and clean white sneaker shoes.

Seeing Atha's unusual appearance made Kinara frown. Then, he lowered his head, addressing his own truly simple appearance. Just a black short sweatshirt suit and bone white knee-length shorts. For footwear, Kinara only wore black Crocs sandals with cute bear-shaped pins. Her hair was also simply stroked without any additional accessories.

"Is this the wrong costume for me or you?" asked Kinara after scanning her appearance and looked back at Atha's appearance.

Instead of answering, Atha chuckled, making Kinara look up at him.

"Atha.." call Kinara with great emphasis.

"There's nothing wrong with the costume. Match our style."

"What's the match? One very casual, one neat." Kinara pouted. His hands were folded in front of his chest and he unceasingly stared at Atha from head to toe.

"We match because we're so complementary."

Kinara knew it was a dreadful sentence. I swear, he knows. He is not a child who is that stupid to not be able to distinguish which sentences are real and which are just chatty. Despite this, Kinara still could not prevent the appearance of a red hue on both sides of her cheeks. Especially when Atha reached out to him with a smile that widened to the ears.

"We don't have much time, baby. We have to walk now." Said Atha.

Kinara welcomed Atha's hand and said as the young man led her to the car. They told Papa and Mama. So, now they live on gas and enjoy a Sunday night together.

"Where are we going?" ask Kinara after putting on the seat belt.

"Candle light dinner." Atha answered with a warm smile.

Kinara raised her eyebrows. Atha is romantic, often giving her surprises and beautiful gifts. However, the young man had never acted this far. Because to prepare a candle light dinner would require considerable effort and time, while Atha himself is not as smart as that.

"What guests are you?" ask Kinara then.

Hearing that, instead of being offended, Atha chuckled. He understood that Kinara was astonished to see the effort he gave this time.

After that, there was no more conversation when the car started driving on the streets. Silence cannot say hello, so Atha took the initiative to turn on the radio.

His smile immediately developed perfectly when the song If I Ain't Got You owned by Alicia Keys melodious singing from there.

His long fingers tapped on the steering wheel, following the rhythm of the music as his lips muttered along to sing.

In the passenger seat, Kinara smiled. He knew how much Atha liked this song. And as much as Atha likes it, as much as that Kinara likes this song. This is the song that Atha was singing directly in front of her when she first expressed feelings for him three years ago.

"Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all. If it ain't you, baby. If I ain't got you, baby. Some people want diamond rings, some just want everything. But everything means nothing, if I ain't got you...."

Atha sings the lyrics while tightly grasping Kinara's hand in one hand. Swiping the back of her favorite girl's hand using her thumb before bringing the hand to her face and anchoring a warm kiss there.

...****************...

A candle light dinner alone had impressed Kinara, plus Atha also prepared a gift that was offered to her after they finished filling her tummy.

A medium-sized gift box was proffered in front of Kinara. With a smile growing and a sparkling gaze, Atha told Kinara to open the gift box after the third count.

Although her heartbeat was getting crazier and she felt her hands start to sweat from nervousness, Kinara still obeyed Atha's orders. With a slightly trembling hand, he opened the wrapping box cover before him. Only to be made to keep his mouth shut when a shining object is seen by his eyes.

Inside the gift box, there was a necklace with a small red rose-shaped pendant. The necklace is so beautiful, that it feels like Kinara does not have the right word to represent how beautiful the necklace is.

"Tha, is this for me?" tanya Kinara, still could not believe that such a beautiful necklace was meant for her.

Atha nodded without hesitation, of course. He has been preparing this gift for the past few months. The necklace was limited, as he made his own designs and ordered them directly at a famous jewelry store that if Kinara knew, the girl would definitely scratch and nail it excessively.

"It's so pretty, Tha." Kinara still could not stop admiring the beauty of the necklace. So amazed, he did not even dare to touch the necklace and could only look at it with a twinkle that was getting brighter.

"Not as pretty as you. Because to me, there is no one more beautiful than a human named Kinara Adorelia."

Okay, from now on, dub Atha the King of Gombal. Because thanks to his words just now, Kinara was again made to blush in shame.

"May I help you wear the necklace?" ask Atha.

Kinara nodded after thinking for a few seconds. Then he turned and turned his back on Atha.

Atha immediately took the necklace from its place. With a stirring feeling, Atha put the glittering thing on Kinara's neck. The smell of shampoo coming out of Kinara's hair that blurred as the girl carried the strands of her hair forward made a pounding on Atha's chest even more so.

The necklace was already curled beautifully around her neck, Kinara lowered her head for a while while holding the rose-shaped pendant with a smile that was raised. Then he turned back his body.

"Thank you, Atha."

"Darling," ralat Atha. "Call me baby."

Normally, Kinara would respond to Atha's words with a soft pat on the shoulder. But tonight, with a gentle smile adorning her pretty face, Kinara airily said, "Love, baby." That made thousands of colonies of butterflies that live in the stomach of Atha scream with excitement. They flapped their wings in unison, causing a foreign turmoil that made Atha's smile never run out.

Tonight this week, it will probably be the most beautiful Sunday night that Atha has ever spent in his entire life. And all of that is thanks to Kinara. The one who was with him at this time was a girl named Kinara Adorelia.

Because if she wasn't Kinara, Atha might not be this happy.
