The After The Rain

The After The Rain
The Feeling Guilty

After being satisfied just observing from a distance, Atha decided to walk closer towards Dahayu and Kinara. The friend who had been walking with him had already left, and he had spent quite a long time remaining alone.

Just when her steps came before Dahayu and Kinara, Atha saw her boyfriend had already pulled away from Dahayu's embrace. The girl looked surprised as she discovered her existence and hurriedly wiped away the traces of tears that were imprinting on both sides of her cheeks.

Atha himself was quite surprised when he found out that Kinara was crying. Because from then on, he only watched from a distance so he did not know that Kinara was actually crying in Dahayu's arms.

Meanwhile, Dahayu who realized that Kinara suddenly tried to finish the sobs that were still left also turned her head and found that Atha was standing behind her body.

"Don't you stand there?" ask her with a special poke tone of her.

Asked that, Atha just responded casually. "There's also me who has to nanya, lo what is my girlfriend until it can cry like this?" he asked back after sitting down beside Kinara.

"Why are you?" atha asked Kinara while helping the girl wipe her tears.

"Not anything." Answer Kinara in a slightly hoarse voice.

"Aren't you afraid of crying?"

"I'm angry." Sela Dahayu, who suddenly made Atha turn her eyes towards him.

"Gue was tired of squirming that he wanted to talk about Layla's problem. So, I'm mad he's gonna stop taking care of other people's lives." Dahayu said that casually, as if what she said was no big deal.

But the sentence reached Atha's ear in a different way. She did often speak in a high tone to Kinara when the girl disappeared without any news, but if Atha knew there was someone else who was acting that way to her boyfriend, somehow Atha felt annoyed.

"It could be okay, right? Why should I be angry?" asked Atha in an unfriendly tone of voice.

Dahayu was used to hearing that tone, so she just responded casually, not stirred up emotions at all. After all, he was now more focused on Kinara looking at him wistfully.

"Gue has my own way of protecting the people I love." Said Dahayu with a straight look right into Kinara's eye bead.

"Ta-"

"Tha," interrupted Kinara when she knew Atha was starting to raise her tone. "I'm not crying because Dahayu's mad at me." Reciprocity.

Not only was Atha made to frown on Kinara's statement just now, but also Dahayu. Because she also thought that Kinara was crying because she was too hard to scold the girl earlier. If not for that, then what?

"Keep, you cry because of what?" dahayu asked after not being strong anymore to suppress her curiosity.

"Because of the heart." Kinara said without hesitation. The girl did not even need time to think before answering. It was as if the answer had already been written on his head and would automatically come out as an answer.

The wrinkles on Dahayu's forehead are getting more obvious, as well as Atha who does not know the beginning of why Dahayu berated Kinara about the problems that befell Layla.

"I'm overwhelmed to have a friend like you, Ay." Kinara said after the pause that was created long enough. "Saking to him, I came to mind, how would my life be without you. People who put forward feelings like me, surely his life will be very difficult if you do not meet a logical human like you. So," Kinara gave a pause again. He grabbed Dahayu's hand, then grasped it tightly. "Thank you, yeah, it's always been by my side to remind me of things."

The smile on Kinara's lips after the sentence was finished actually made Dahayu grimace. Because deep in his heart, Dahayu knew that he was not such a good friend.

After the drama was over, Atha pulled Kinara to get up from her seat. He clasped the girl's hand tightly, as if he didn't want anything to separate them.

While Dahayu, the girl decided to sit a little longer while reassembling her scattered sanity due to the touching sentence Kinara said to her.

His mind started to get messed up. The confusion that has become commonplace in his head now feels less and less clamor. His mind branched so much that it made Dahayu lost. It was too hard to find a way out of his own mind.

Meanwhile, Kinara with the innocence that was within him stared at Dahayu for quite a long time. He certainly does not know what is making his best friend worried.

"Tha," call Kinara before Atha invites her away from the already deserted faculty garden. The sky above them had already started to darken and the sun had already fully returned to the contest.

Atha cleared his throat in response. One free-moving hand slipped a strand of Kinara's hair out of the original impressed bond.

"Can you please anterin Dahayu go home, right?" asked Kinara after thinking for a moment.

Atha pulled back her hand that was still playing with Kinara's hair. He then glanced at Dahayu who was still sitting in her place at a glance then turned his gaze back towards Kinara.

"No, I'll take a taxi." Sela Dahayu before Atha opened her mouth to give an answer.

"No." Kinara shook her head strongly. "You can't ride public transportation, Ay. Don't try."

Kinara's wish was an absolute order that could not be denied. So, without waiting for the girl to say more, without waiting for Dahayu to also give an answer, Atha nodded her head.

"Gue anterin you go home." The final.

Hearing Atha's reply, Kinara and Dahayu gave a different response. Kinara smiled brightly, staring adoringly at the figure of Atha who in her eyes looked like an angel who had just descended from the sky at the command of God. While Dahayu actually smiled wryly because it meant that he had to interact with Atha, without Kinara as a mediator between them.

"Thank you, Atha."

Dahayu glanced at Kinara who was smiling happily. His heart ached again to see that sincere smile rise so wide. You shouldn't be like this, Nara. His mind moved up from his seat.

"Come on." Invite Dahayu before he goes first.

Atha did not directly follow Dahayu's steps. He paused for a moment at Kinara's side while watching Dahayu's narrow back growing further and further away from the view.

Until finally, Kinara patted her shoulder gently and made her consciousness return. "Yes." Yeah." Sahut Atha when Kinara gave the code to him to immediately follow Dahayu who was getting away.

"You're careful driving." Order Kinara before Atha walks away.

"Yes, you too. Until the house immediately informs me." Atha said as he patted Kinara's head slowly. The one patted his head just nodded in response.

Then, Atha walked away leaving Kinara alone. Leaving the girl he loved deeply with guilt that began to eat away at his heart and mind.
