The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Gossip

The figure of Atha was now standing before him. The young man appeared in a plain white T-shirt, black jeans and a leather jacket the color of his jeans. The shoes that the young man wore had a balanced blend of white and black. The scent of perfume emanated from his sturdy body and field.

If only their relationship was still good, Kinara would have immediately poured into the young man's embrace, sipping the scent of perfume that emanated from his body and inhaling it deeply because the scent really only he could find in Atha. Either people who do not know that there is a perfume like this that they do not want to wear it, or the aroma is different because of Atha who uses it.

But since their relationship was no longer in the same phase, Kinara could only bite a finger. Resisting his desire to smell the perfume from a closer distance and instead took a step back.

"What do you need?" ask Kinara flat. Just like she did last night, this time Kinara was also still unwilling to stare at Atha while she was talking to the young man.

"You pick you up, we go to college together, okay?"

Kinara smiled obliquely. Is he that easy to persuade, so that Atha still has the confidence to take her to campus together after what happened between them? Or maybe, all this time Atha did see her as a naive girl who was easily fooled? How sad.

"Please don't refuse, Ra." Atha sounded begging, but Kinara was not at all interested in checking the young man's facial expression.

Still clinging to her stance of no longer establishing a connection with Atha and Dahayu, Kinara turned her back and hurriedly entered the house before her faith could falter.

Just arrived in the living room, he was forced to stop stepping because he passed Papa who already looks neat with his driver's uniform. Yes, now Papa is no longer ashamed to wear the uniform in front of him and Mama.

"Papa heard Atha's motor." Said Papa.

Kinara nodded. "There's ahead. Papa please have a chat, yes, Nara wants to take a shower." Then Kinara immediately passed leaving Papa.

Arriving at the room, Kinara placed Lestari's sweets and hairpins on the study table. Then he came out of the room and went straight into the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, Kinara finished her bath. He rushed back to the room to get ready.

Kinara opened the closet and it didn't take long for her to decide what clothes she would wear today. Because she does not like complicated, Kinara decided to wear a white body fitting shirt combined with blue long jeans. For shoes, Kinara would choose her flagship white sneaker. Her hair does not need to be painted or permed, just her ponytail as usual.

Clothes and hair are okay, now is the time to fix a little condition of his face so that his appearance is not bad-bad very.

The veil in her eyes had already reduced, but the dark circles were still evident, so Kinara immediately applied eye cream on the lower eyelids.

As the sun was scorching and she had to protect her skin from ultraviolet light exposure, Kinara applied sunscreen to her face and neck. No need to add powder, because he does not like it. Then, so that her lips were not too pale and looked like an undead, Kinara applied a pink lip tint.

And, sorted. Not until twenty minutes, Kinara was neat and ready to go to campus.

He immediately grabbed the bag from the table. But before darting out of the room, Kinara first moved the candy and hairpin Lestari gave and put it in the drawer.

"Breakfast first!" Mom was screaming from the kitchen.

Kinara approached Mama, not to follow her orders for breakfast, but to grab the woman's hand and kiss her slowly and then immediately passed to the front door with a little running.

"By!" Mama was screaming back.

"Nara rush! Have breakfast on campus!" Kinara shouted back.

His steps slowed down when he reached the front door. He sharpened his sense of hearing, to simply check whether Papa was still on the porch or the man had gone to work and left Atha alone there.

And when Kinara did not hear any chatter, she was sure that Papa had indeed left for work.

After finishing counting to thirty in his heart, Kinara continued her steps. He did not turn his head at all towards Atha who was still sitting on the porch seat and directly walked towards his car.

"Ra," Atha blocked her hand as she was about to open the car door.

Kinara immediately brushed off Atha's hand, then got straight into the car and gas-tipped even before she put on her seatbelt.

"He has no brain or no real shame?" muttered Kinara after his car drove quite far from the home area. Every now and then he glanced towards the rearview mirror to check if Atha was chasing after him or not. And lucky he didn't find the bike the man was tailing behind him.

The streets this morning were also crowded smoothly so that Kinara could arrive at the campus on time. After the car was parked neatly with the other cars that had been there first, Kinara immediately went out and stepped wide towards the first classroom.

In the corridor to the classroom, Kinara's footsteps began to slow down and her hearing began to sharpen.

Either it was just his feelings, or people were staring at him while whispering.

This kind of situation again reminded him of the incident that befell Layla. Is he now a gossip to his friends? But, why? What mistakes had he made until they gossiped about him?

Kinara did not feel like she had done anything wrong. So, he continued his steps and tried to ignore the whispers that he could not really hear clearly what they contained.

Upon arrival in the classroom, Kinara immediately sat down on the bench she used to sit with Dahayu. The difference, this time he did not find the existence of the girl there. It may not have come yet, it may not have come on purpose. I don't know, Kinara doesn't have enough time to care.

Shortly after, the lecturer entered the classroom and teaching and learning activities began, with whispers still faint and Kinara could only refrain from yelling at them to stop.
