The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Supply For Papa

After being immersed in cooking for more than an hour, Kinara was able to smile proudly while serving Papa's favorite chicken.

He's styling rice, chicken rica-rica, he's, and some kind of vegetables into the lunch box then leave the box open for a while so that the hot steam from the rice and freshly cooked chicken can be slightly reduced.

Then, he walked towards the refrigerator, and, take out one apple and bring it to the sink to wash and then he put the apple that is clean and has been dried using the tissue into another container.

Supplies have been made, Kinara put the lunch box away somewhat to the edge of the table because he had to arrange his cooking on the table for breakfast.

The rice has been removed from the rice cooker and transferred to the container and placed on the table. Followed by the chicken rica-rica, vegetables and fruits that Kinara stacked beautifully on the table. Not to forget he prepared plates, spoons and glasses and drinking water on the table.

When she finished, Kinara stared at her own work. Apparently, his hobby of pestering Mama while cooking in the kitchen is now paying off. He's not too clumsy to struggle with everything that smells like the kitchen.

Breakfast was ready, but the new clock showed at half-seven in the morning and Papa was definitely still preparing in the room. So, while waiting for Papa to finish preparing, Kinara covered the dishwasher sink where various dirty kitchen utensils had been loosened there and roared for washing.

Finally, Kinara rushed to wash one by one the equipment while humming cheerfully. Something that rarely happens, if you want to know.

Beres washed the kitchen utensils and put them back where they were, Kinara intended to call Mama and Papa so that they could have breakfast together.

But not until his feet stepped, the two people he was about to go to had already appeared before him.

..."Morning, Mama. Morning, Dad!" sapanya cheerful....

Mama and Papa who saw the princess's unusual glare could only look at each other before the end of their attention was stolen when Kinara suddenly dragged their arms and led them to the dining table.

Kinara pulled out the chairs for Mama and Papa, turned the dishes that had been provided in front of the seats each then poured them some drinking water. After that, Kinara sat down on the other seat and did all of those things for herself.

"What's your son after, Ma?" whispered Papa while leaning her body to the left, towards Mama. While his gaze was still fixed straight towards Kinara.

"don't know. I think I've had a good dream, so it's bright on his face." Mom whispered back. Follows leaning to the right with a gaze that is also fixed on Kinara.

Meanwhile, Kinara who became the object of gossiping father and mother was completely unaware of it. He began to spoon the rice into the dish, put the side dishes on top of it then lifted the spoon up high.

"Good meal!" he said cheerfully which once again invited wrinkles on Mama and Papa's forehead.

...****************...

They finished breakfast at about eight o'clock. After washing dishes, spoons and dirty glasses, Kinara followed Mama and Papa who had been in the living room first. Just chat for a while before starting each activity.

His steps were still as light as that. His smile was perfect while looking at the lunchbox he had in his hand.

"Papa," call Kinara, making Papa who was chatting with Mama practically turn his head.

"For you." He said as he handed the lunch box to Papa.

At first Papa just silent while looking at the lunch box that Kinara and Kinara serving alternately. Then, as Kinara continued to thrust the lunchbox closer to Papa, the man immediately picked it up.

"Balong for Papa, make his work spirit increase."

Hearing that, Papa fell silent. Once again he was made touched by the princess' sweet treatment. Although in their small families no one is really good at expressing feelings through words, but treating them to each other is enough to describe the feelings of affection itself.

"Thank you, Nara." Papa spoke with a smile whose warmth spread throughout Kinara's body in just a short time. It was as if Papa was hugging him tightly now.

"Together."

Then, Papa got up from the sofa. The man walked slowly and immediately hugged Kinara. Channeling the affection she had for Kinara through the slow claps she placed onto the princess's small back.

"Papa goes to work first, yeah." Pamit Papa after their embrace was released.

Kinara nodded in spirit. His smile did not fade at all. Even when he carried Papa's hand to his face and anchored a brief kiss on the back of that hand, Kinara's smile still lingered.

Then he and Mama drove Papa to the front yard. At first he took the initiative to get Papa to the stop, but the man refused and told him to do something else that was more useful.

After Papa left, Kinara and Mama stood for quite a while at the door. Both of them looked at the road that Papa had passed. In the same heart pray for your safety and smoothness during work until you return to this house tonight.

"Smart kid."

Kinara turned her head when she felt Mama's hand landing perfectly on her head. The woman smiled warmly, then began to use her hands to pat Kinara's head slowly.

"You're the best." Praise Mama again.

But Kinara nodded. Because he is not the great, but his parents who can still throw smiles at each other and shower him with an abundance of love even though they are now being tested.

"No, Mama and Papa are the best." Then after that, Kinara slid into Mama's arms. He stuck his ear long enough on the mother's chest, enjoying every beat that could be heard from the motion of Mama's heart inside.

From that beat, he felt connected. Because from every beat that sounded, Kinara's life seemed to begin again.

This activity was fun, and Kinara could do it all day. Silence while listening to the heartbeat of Mama while her head is rubbed slowly. Wow, what a pleasure.

But Kinara immediately withdrew from Mama's embrace when her cloud caught a clear little voice.

Kinara and Mama both turned their heads, only to find Lestari standing in front of the porch of their house while carrying a challenger that had no idea what it contained.

The little girl stayed long enough. Throwing gazes at Mama and Kinara alternately and then occasionally looking back, towards her house where the mother was waiting at the door with a fluffy smile.

Then, after a long sigh (Kinara did not know why such a small boy could do it, as if the burden he was carrying was really heavy), Lestari stepped closer.

Arriving at the front, Lestari stretched out the bushel she had brought towards Kinara. With her small clear voice Lestari said, "Rendang, from Mother to you."
