The After The Rain

The After The Rain
That Guilt Is Still There

The simple celebration was over, leaving behind a euphoria that they would then keep inside each other's heads as a memory they would see again in the next few years.

The people who participated in the successful event have returned one by one, leaving Astari, Andanu, Kinara and Sekala. They had agreed to go home at the very end in order to clean up the remnants of the party.

There's not much to do, actually, they just need to rearrange the tables and chairs, remove the squash balloons from the walls of Orion and wash some of the cutlery that had been used.

All four share tasks, so that work that is only a little can be completed in a short time.

"Thank you, yeah." Sekala said, to Astari who helped him to take out the trash.

Now at eight in the night, the sky was already dark because it just so happened to be overcast as well. But now, Sekala's heart is so bright after spending time with the good people of Orion.

"No prob," Astari smiled.

After the trash was dumped into a large barrel on the left side of the cafe building, they walked hand in hand back into the cafe, where Andanu and Kinara were resting while drinking water.

Just one foot away Sekala stepped through the door, she staggered as someone pulled her shirt from behind. Without having time to digest the situation, Sekala then found his body had fallen to the outside cafe floor. His back was in pain, but the punch that landed on his face after that was also no less painful.

"Fuck!" a man sat on his stomach, still clenching his hands in the air after raising a hard fist that ended up making the handsome face turn blue.

Astari who had walked first, and had almost reached the table where Andanu and Kinara were sitting, practically ran out after hearing the noise.

However, his steps could not be taken any further when he found the figure of the man who was now above Sekala.

Now that he was ready to receive one more fist with a spacious chest, but when his eyes saw the presence of Astari— as well as Kinara and Andanu, Sekala ventured to hold the man's arm.

"Don't be here, Mas. Come on, just go to my room" he whispered to the man.

At first, the man did not care and still insisted on throwing a punch. But as Sekala coded through the eyes, telling them that there were six pairs of eyes now watching them, the man finally relented.

While cursing, the man rose from the belly of Sekala. His gaze was still nailed on that figure who looked painstakingly to rise up.

"Buruan!" exclaimed the man, who then walked first into the cafe, passing three people who stood in the doorway just like that.

Emotions have mastered him, so that all in his view is Sekala and all his feelings of regret for the man. Making him not realize that the woman whose shoulder he had hit when he barged in was someone he knew, who had once had a long history with him.

"Suck!" Andanu. He was about to catch up with the man who had disappeared behind the door, but Astari quickly restrained her arm.

Astari shook her head slowly. "Don't interfere, Nu. Let Sekala be right," he whispered.

Kinara who stood in the middle of them actually did not agree too much on Astari's opinion, but as her eyes caught the figure of Sekala walking towards them with a bloody corner of her lips, she said, all the protests he was about to lay down disappeared for a moment, replaced by worried chatter along the way to the man.

"Surely sick," he whined, while touching the corner of the lips and cheeks Sekala slowly. He grimaced, feeling like the wound was his own.

At a time like this, Sekala could still smile, making Kinara anxious to pinch the man's cheek so that the pain increased and he stopped smiling.

"Everything's okay, you don't have to worry." Sekala said, Kinara's hand that was still on her cheek she held, for the first time she dared to go that far.

"Now, you wait here with Astari and Andanu. Let me sort things out, let's just go home."

"But, Mas-"

"Kin," interrupted Sekala. Kinara's hand she lowered, then she held it. "Please trust me." Continue, with a softened look.

"But my promise, Mas Kala's wounds will not increase after getting out of there."

Kinara hoped, Sekala would nod her head and make a promise to him. However, the man only smiled and slowly released their hands, which made him realize that Sekala could not promise anything.

Sekala's existence which now began to walk into the cafe was replaced by Astari who immediately embraced his arm, trying to calm down. While Andanu was still standing in the doorway, seen chatting briefly with Sekala before Sekala disappeared from view.

"I'm afraid Mas Kala why-why, Ma'am." Slightly Kinara, her eyes began to water.

In the end, all Astari could do was continue rubbing Kinara's shoulders as the girl tried to stop the pace of her crying.

Meanwhile, when Sekala arrived at her study, she was already awaited by the man earlier. Where the man was sitting on his chair, staring at him with his arms folded in front of his chest.

"Lake in." The man's orders, as if he were the owner of the room.

Following the order, step forward boldly after closing the door tightly.

"What do you need Mas Saga here?" he asked, trying to stay calm even though his chest was rumbling again and his fear became so again.

"Sit down." The man who Sekala called Mas Saga re-ruled. Encouraged single sofa using the legs, then move his head as a sign that Sekala quickly sit down.

This time, Sekala refused with a little more courage. "I stand up" he said.

"Hard-headed." The boy's lips, Sagara, after clucking annoyed at the rejection of Sekala.

"What's it gonna take, Mom?" Repeating the question again. "What if it was that important thing, until Mas Saga would set foot here?" he grimaced after remembering the fact that the man who was his older brother had never set foot into Orion since the first time this place was built.

"Let me sick again," said Sagara, his gaze still did not soften the goods a little, so clearly showing dislike towards Sekala.

"I've asked Dr. Anne to check on her routine, so-"

"He's sick because of you, you son of a bitch!" suddenly, Sagara's tone of voice rose by several octaves. The man even got up from his seat, resting both arms on the Sekala desk, looking at him sharply.

"When you run away from home, I'm so sick often because of the same thoughts you continue!"

"Sorry" said Sekala.

"Eat your apologies to be full." Ketus Sagara, then he walked closer to Sekala, only to point at the younger chest in order to channel his emotions.

"Gue doesn't need that stale apology, damn it." Bisik Sagara, right in front of Sekala's face. "Reverse, and meet me. You've already entered into our lives, so don't be pretentious to be a hero by distancing yourself because it's completely useless."

"I can't go back to that house anymore, Mom. It's not my place, that's it,"

"Indeed." Sagara. "Your place is not there, but in hell, together with your dead nyokap that already dead."

"Don't bring Mother," somehow get the power from where, Sekala dare to talk like that to Sagara. Though for life, he kept his head down in front of the man, because of the guilt that kept haunting him.

Sagara smiled obliquely, then took two steps back. "Lo's mad because I brought you a punch? Equally, I am also angry that you have to be present in this world, and make me feel miserable."

"Lo's birth is happy for that cheap woman. But for me and for me, your birth is sorrow. It was a disaster that should have been prevented in such a way."

Again, I heard that phrase. After hard work he convinced himself that his birth was a blessing, Sagara again came to realize that his presence in the world was just a disaster.

In the end, Sekala lost again. The words of Sagara. On feeling worthless. Also on the guilt that seems endless.

"Gue doesn't care even if you die on the streets." Sagara spoke again, breaking the silence that was originally created long enough.

"But I guess I care. Even if he was faced with the choice between him having to save me or lo, he would definitely choose to exchange his life, so that the two of us could survive. As deep as it turns out I love you the same, and it makes me even more dislike the presence of lo."

"So, you better go home and meet me as soon as possible, or I'll finish you and send you to hell."

Then, Sagara stepped away. But before he reached the door, he stopped and turned around.

"Martra Hospital, Carnation Room number 3025. I'm treated there, and I give you 1x24 hours to come. Otherwise, I'd really be living a lot."

Then Sagara continued his steps, leaving Sekala with guilt that came back many times greater than before.
