The After The Rain

The After The Rain
The Storm

During the minutes while waiting for the rain to subside, Kinara's mind again floated into the air. The fact that she is no longer Kinara Adorelia the rich single princess makes her heart restless again.

This was the first time he had met Dahayu again since the semester break. And during the holidays, they do not exchange news because usually Dahayu will spend his time traveling solo to places he has never visited so that the girl's phone will be difficult to contact.

So until now, Kinara still has not told Dahayu anything about the destruction of his family business.

Kinara turned her head to the side, finding Dahayu was researching her phone with lips that were muttering silently. There are doubts that stuck his throat when he was about to start a story about his life that changed drastically in one night.

Nope. Kinara was not afraid that Dahayu would no longer want to befriend him because now he had fallen into poverty. A long time ago, Dahayu never discriminated friends based on the economic and social status of the person. The girl befriends everyone she feels fits her personality and can make her comfortable, regardless of her family background.

Kinara was actually afraid that Dahayu would start exerting effort to help him get out of this problem. As they have passed over these two years, Dahayu has always been the party that stands at the front to fight for him. The girl was always the first before Atha. So if Atha had offered such assistance, then Dahayu would have done more.

"But pity me too, Layla. His life changed drastically in just one night. In fact, the day before the video of the curse was widespread, he could still go to campus with his head held high." Dahayu turned her head, slightly forgetting the phone screen which turned out to still display news about Layla.

There was a long pause, creating a silence that enveloped the two human children who looked at each other. Kinara stared fixedly at Dahayu's bright brown bead, diving in bit by bit to get to the bottom even though he knew, it wouldn't be that easy.

Then, Kinara became the first to break the silence by exhaling out loud.

"Life likes that, right? What we thought was going to be all right, it turns out there was a storm that suddenly came and made it all mess." Kinara turned her face when she could no longer face Dahayu.

On the rain that was slowly turning into a thin drizzle, Kinara floated a look of hope. Hopefully as the rain slowly subsides, the problems in his life will also one by one find a way out.

"You bought a new car?" ask Kinara when they get to the parking lot.

There, in the fourth row from where Kinara parked his car, there is a Porsche Cayenne car unit that looks striking. And Dahayu recognized the car as his.

As the daughter of a coal businessman, it is actually not surprising that Dahayu can buy luxury goods and change cars as she pleases. Only, Kinara clearly knew that Dahayu was not as fond as it was to change his vehicle. The girl always put comfort above everything else.

"Gift shut up." Sahut Dahayu relax.

Kinara. "Again?"

With a casual nod Dahayu. A smile rose up adorning her beautiful face. The look in his eyes clearly could not hide the extreme sadness emanated from there.

The car was given by his mother one week ago, as a bribe so that he would shut up about the affair that his mother did. This is not the first time she has had an affair, so Dahayu is not too surprised.

Kinara also knew about this because Dahayu had told him all the ulcers stored inside his family that from the outside seemed fine. Her father, who was busy looking for money until he forgot to go home, made his mother lonely so that she sought another pleasure by dating random men she met along the way while waiting for her husband to come home.

But his father may have forgotten that his son and wife also need to be given affection. So that when they meet under the same roof that people have been calling home, what happens between them is just a debate.

One is crazy treasure, the other is thirsty for affection. Dahayu felt that her parents should not be met.

"Students on this campus too." Said Dahayu later. She crossed her arms, glanced at her new car and breathed heavily shortly after.

Of the many infidelities her mother had ever committed, which may have been the worst.

"Which faculty?" ask Kinara curiously. It was not because he was drawn to scrape the wounds suffered by his best friend. He just felt like this was all too much.

"Technics. One major is the same Atha."

Kinara could not hide her shock over what Dahayu had said. So surprised, Kinara had unknowingly pulled Dahayu to face him.

"If one majors with Atha, she should know that it's your Mama?" Kinara really did not think. Why are there still people like that, who are willing to do anything for the sake of their own pleasure but harm others.

Again Dahayu nodded. "Where does he care. What matters is getting money."

Kinara gave a rough sigh. The muscles around his neck instantly hardened. The look in his eyes sharpened, as if he could tear apart the figure of the damned young man who had already dared to bring this good friend into trouble. Because if until this news leaked, Dahayu would definitely not be able to live his days comfortably again.

Amidst the rising tension, Dahayu suddenly chuckled. "No need to hold that face."

"Well, how not to be tense! That kid could have his mouth leaking, Ay! How about"

"He wouldn't dare." Sela Dahayu."He wouldn't dare to say anything." Dahayu Repeated. He straightened the back that had fallen, looking back at his new car but this time with a stern look than before.

"Because if he dares to talk things out, I'll make sure his life is ruined." Dahayu said full of emphasis. Kinara could see the stark angry lightning from Dahayu's two eyeballs, and it was terrifying. So all Kinara could do was remain silent while waiting for Dahayu to continue his sentence.

"Because if I were to be destroyed, I wouldn't be destroyed alone."

Then Dahayu moved. With a confident step, he walked over to his car. He looked back at Kinara before getting into the car while smiling a smile that was too sweet.

"Today, I'm the deal. You can order as many meatballs as you want."

Then Dahayu got into the car and in an instant the car had left the campus parking area.

Kinara stood in his place for quite a long time after Dahayu's departure. Now, his hesitation to tell his problem to Dahayu is becoming more and more.

Because how could he complain about the fate of his life to Dahayu, when the girl was struggling with her own badai?

Seriate.
