The After The Rain

The After The Rain
As long as You Are, Everything Will Be Fine

"So this is Sebastian?" ask Atha after Kinara finishes telling her story.

Shortly after her crying subsided and her breathing could be rearranged, Kinara began to recount all the events that befell her family. The culprit again is the bastard Sebastian.

Little did Atha already know about the man named Sebastian because Kinara often told about his suspicious movements and the unpleasant premonition that the girl felt towards Sebastian. But even so, Atha still did not expect that the man could act so far. Even to make Kinara's father bankrupt. This is really too much. Had the man been here now, Atha would have had his fist raised to his face repeatedly.

Kinara nodded her head. The strawberry-flavored ice cream he was holding began to melt until it dripped into his hands and Kinara was unable to do anything about it. It seemed, his strength had been drained from crying.

Seeing more and more ice cream melts, Atha did not stay still. He took the ice cream from the hands of Kinara then hurriedly he wiped Kinara's hands with a tissue.

"Keep, Papa has no intention of reporting this to the police?" atha asked after removing the shapeless ice cream from before the two of them. He raised his gaze, looking at Kinara fixedly.

Kinara shook his head weakly. "Bikin report to the police also need money, Tha. We have nothing else." Miris. Only one word came to Kinara's head while telling her about her family's current economic condition to Atha.

"If it's about money"

"No!" Kinara cut fast. "I don't want you to go out a dime for this."

"But, Ra, I just want to help you. Is that wrong?"

"It's not wrong at all." Kinara exhaled a heavy breath afterwards. "Your intention to help me is not at all wrong, Tha. But you don't have to help me with money."

Atha clenched her lips tightly. Scrutinizing the brownish bead of Kinara who was now looking at him fixedly. There were a lot of mixed feelings inside the bead. Mixtures that are too difficult to decompose one by one to make Atha's heart ache.

"Enough by staying beside me right now is very helpful, Tha. I don't need anything else." While saying that, Kinara was actually also trying to convince herself. All he needs right now is the presence of those he loves and loves.

No more rebuttals came out of Atha's lips, and Kinara was grateful for that. Whereas the days before this, Atha was a stubborn man. Almost all the debates they went through must have ended in Atha's victory because the man never liked to be denied. Lucky today Atha is willing to lower her ego a bit.

For a while after that, the silence moved further than before. Both Atha and Kinara were busy with their own heads. Their breaths clashed, becoming the only sound heard by the ears of the two of them.

At last, Atha got up from his seat. He wants to be here much longer. But after looking at the watch on the wrist that had shown at half-ten p.m., Atha realized she had to go home soon.

A long time ago, since they first dated, Kinara's father had already imposed a curfew for them. Whenever Atha comes to visit, his return cannot be more than ten o'clock in the evening. Likewise, if they go out together, Atha can not return Kinara late from the prescribed curfew or they will be given a sentence not to meet for one full week.

"Udah is half ten, I have to go home." Atha said to Kinara who was already standing up.

Kinara simply nodded in response. Although there were still many things that he wanted to tell Atha, but the curfew that Papa had determined should still not be broken. Besides, there's still tomorrow. There was still time to complain about everything to Atha later.

They walked to the yard where Atha's motorbike was parked. Kinara waited patiently until Atha got on the bike.

"Don't speed it up." Kinara. The problem is, he understands very well the character of Atha who likes to speed on the streets without caring about his own safety.

"Yes, bring it." Atha pinched Kinara's pointed nose, making her owner frown while rubbing her flushed nose.

"My nose is gone, you don't have to pull anymore!" kinara protest. But Atha chuckled in response.

"Yes, I'm on my way now. Greetings to Mom and Dad." Atha said while wearing a helmet.

"Yes." Yeah." Kinara retreated one step, along with Atha who also rewinded the bike.

Motor in stater. His loud voice managed to attract the attention of the neighbors who simultaneously turned their heads from the windows of their respective homes.

Kinara knew she was being a spectacle now, but she didn't care much. The presence of strangers around him will always be blurry when he is with Atha. Maybe this is what people mean that falling in love can make a person feel like the world belongs to both.

"Bye!" Atha waved for the last time before the real bike drove.

Kinara waited until the motor and the driver completely disappeared from his sight.

A few minutes later, Kinara left. He walked back to the house.

While carrying the snacks and ice cream that Atha had brought, Kinara entered the house feeling much better than before.

Kinara stepped into the kitchen to put the remaining ice cream and snacks that Atha had brought to the refrigerator. Then after finishing arranging it in such a way as to save space, Kinara twisted her body. He walked into the room. Pause in front of the brown door while taking a few breaths.

Then, Kinara turned the knob and the door in front of her opened. Kinara went straight into the room. His first destination was the bed. He jumped straight up on the bed. Throwing himself up there only to be made grimace because his mattress now turned out not to be as tender as his own.

"Sick.." he complained while rubbing his shoulder that hurt.

His intention for the rebound instantly dissipated and Kinara began to sit himself down. He leans on a wooden headboard whose quality is certainly not as good as his old one.

Kinara looked up his head, looking at the ceiling of his room which was now plain white. There is no longer a vast expanse of sky decorated with stars like before. In fact, looking at the vast expanse of sky on the ceiling of his room is the most powerful way to relieve the angst that whack.

But, what can I do? His circumstances had already changed and he could no longer rely on that way from now on. So, he has to get used to it.

"Lord... Nara's strong, right?" whisper to yourself.
