Caramel Macchiato is already toilet, Strawberry Pistachio Tart and Poured Tiramisu are also gone. The stomach is full, the need for sugar has also been met, now is the time for Kinara and Dahayu to rise from their seats before the sun goes down and sinks.
The more afternoons, the more crowded the cafe, so they decided not to stay longer in order to provide an opportunity for other visitors to occupy the spot they had originally mastered.
While waiting for Dahayu to finish cleaning his things and put them back in the bag, Kinara was idly tapping his feet on the floor as his gaze shimmered over every corner of the cafe that had been missed.
In paintings displayed in several spots on the cafe wall. On some pots of ornamental plants placed near the glass windows that paraded into the streets. On a pair of young sobbing laughter after preparing a spoonful of Chesee Cake into each mouth. Also on the hordes of students who seemed still struggling with laptops and notebooks while sipping drinks each.
At first nothing was strange. The atmosphere of the cafe is still normal like the atmosphere of the cafe in general. Until finally, Kinara was forced to squint to convince himself that his visual ability was still good when he found a familiar figure standing in front of the counter, standing tall faced off against the short-haired girl in charge of taking orders.
At first Kinara hesitated, as all she could see was her back-looking posture alone. But as the figure turned his head and their gazes unintentionally met, Kinara did not know how to react.
The man standing in front of the counter was clearly Papa. Aye, Papa. The father he always looked up to and considered as the number one best man in the world. There's nothing strange about meeting Papa at a cafe. The strange thing is, why can Papa be in a cafe near the campus and... is wearing a black uniform commonly used by drivers?
Shouldn't Papa be in the office to work right now? Isn't the work that Papa did so much that it forced the man to come home often at night? Then why is Papa wandering around here instead of being in the office, sitting at the computer and finishing his work so that he can get home faster?
"Come, Ra." Kinara turned to Dahayu for a moment when she felt the girl touch her arm.
Then, in a slow motion, Kinara put away Dahayu's hand on her arm and walked quickly towards Papa.
Kinara could see the obvious shock on Papa's face as he walked closer. The man even tried to avoid eye contact, as if he wanted to run away and disappear right then and there.
"Papa?" call Kinara when he gets in front of Papa.
"Why is this here? Not work?" ask her again when Papa never answered her greeting.
"Nara, Papa can explain. Papa"
"Sir, is my coffee ordered?"
Kinara and Papa simultaneously turned to the voice of the woman who suddenly interrupted Papa's speech. A woman in her late twenties dressed in a plain white knee-length, shoulder-length blonde and oriental-faced dress stood beside Papa, looking at Papa questioningly.
"Already, Non. Being made."
Naw? Inner Kinara who still did not understand the situation. He still does not understand, why Papa can be here and why Papa calls this beautiful woman as Non, a term commonly used by an assistant to his superiors.
"Good, deh. If so, I'll wait in the car, sir." Said the woman before she finally walked away.
Confusion increasingly dominates Kinara, especially when Papa does not say anything and instead moves to reach for the coffee that has just been served. With a hand that looked slightly trembling and a drastically slumped shoulder, Papa walked past Kinara just like that without saying a word. Papa was not even willing to look into his eyes, as if they had become strangers in the blink of an eye.
...****************...
For fear of anything happening to Kinara, Dahayu finally forced the girl to go home with Atha. He dragged Kinara into the Engineering faculty building and waited until Atha finished her final class.
About thirty minutes waiting, Dahayu got up from his seat as soon as he saw the figure of Atha running towards them. The man looked panicked and worried about Kinara's condition.
"Hey, you okay?" asked Atha who immediately took a seat next to Kinara and cupped her lover's face that looked listless.
"Mending you directly anterin go home, do not have to ask a lot first." Sela Dahayu who is already very worried about the condition of Kinara.
Since leaving the cafe, the girl had not said anything at all. Dahayu even had to hold her arm to ensure that the girl could still stand upright on her own feet.
"Tha?" in the midst of the panic that struck Dahayu and Atha, Kinara suddenly made a sound.
Both Atha and Dahayu stared at Kinara, waiting patiently for the girl to continue her sentence.
However, their wait ended in vain because instead of talking, Kinara exhaled in a frustrated manner. Then the girl looked down, looking at the blunt ends of her shoes.
"Udah, let lo anterin go home first." Bisik Dahayu's.
Atha nodded. Immediately he led Kinara to get up from her seat. He slowly led Kinara to his car. Make sure the girl is sitting safely and comfortably in the passenger seat before she closes the door and walks over to Dahayu.
"Gue Anterin Kinara first, after that, we meet. You have to tell me what happened to Kinara until she could be like this." Atha said.
Dahayu just nodded in response. Then, he lets Atha run around the car to get to the driver's side.
It did not take long, the car drove, leaving Dahayu with a thousand questions that shrouded his head.
Meanwhile, in the car, in accordance with the appeal that Dahayu had given, Atha said nothing. He tried to suppress his own fuss not to ask Kinara many things that now seemed to be leaning against the window with a view thrown away into the streets.
The sky above them was already completely dark, as dark as the feeling of Atha being forced to grope what would befall her lover, making the bright twinkle in her eyes disappear. The girl's smile faded and no more merrily sounds filled her sense of hearing while they were on their way home.
Unlike the usual days they had passed all this time, this time, for the first time, Atha felt herself and Kinara were in two different worlds.
