The After The Rain

The After The Rain
Mementos

When the sun began to dare to appear, Kinara helped Sinta and Lestari clean up the stall. Their trading was not all exhausted, but saw from the smile of Sinta that spread to almost to the ears, Kinara knew that today she had succeeded in helping Sinta sell more coconuts than in previous days.

"Thank you, Nara." Sinta said as soon as they finished cleaning up and were ready to go home.

"Together, Mother." Kinara replied with a faint smile. "It turns out, the sales are cool too, yes. Nara wants to sell again sometime, okay?"

"It is with pleasure" said Sinta. He was truly grateful to Kinara, because thanks to the girl's help, he was able to earn more wages from his boss in return for having sold a lot of coconuts. Incidentally, he did need more money to buy some Lestari school needs.

"But" Kinara stopped her steps. Lestari who was walking beside him and her hand she tightly clenched practically came to a stop. The boy looked up his head, looking at him questioningly.

"You don't want to go to the market anymore, Tar." Kinara said as she stared straight at Lestari's round eyes.

"Why?" ask Lestari.

"You're still leaking, you can't catch the wind at night, you'll get sick easily." Kinara tried to explain in the simplest way.

It was not that he was afraid that Lestari would not understand, but rather that he tried not to show the boy that he was trying to offer help indirectly. Lestari doesn't like to be pitied, she certainly remembers that.

Lestari did not answer, the boy turned to the mother who inevitably had to take over the task to answer Kinara's words.

"I can't stay in Lestari alone at home, Ra." Obviously Sinta. Though he was sure Kinara also understood the reason he brought Lestari to sell in the market. But as the boca kept staring at him, Sinta was forced to explain again to Kinara. Who knows, the girl forgot.

"Nara knows, really," said Kinara. He looked back at Lestari.

"This boy let's sleep in Nara's house, too" said Kinara, raising his gaze back to Sinta. "In exchange, Nara will sell Sinta Mbak on the market. How's it?" continued.

Sinta didn't even have to think about shaking her head. All this time, he had indeed lived surrounded by good people, that was why he and Lestari were still able to endure amidst the harshness of life in the capital. Only, the kindness that Kinara showed was next level once, and Sinta felt hesitant to accept it.

"Why?" ask Kinara in a tone laden with disappointment.

"I don't want to take care of you, Nara."

"No bother!" sergeant Kinara.

"Nara did not bother, Ma'am.." whine Kinara, just like a boy who was persuading his mother to buy a new toy that does not cost playfully.

"Can, huh? Pleaseeee...."

Being treated to the sight of a beautiful, cute and cute early twenties girl showing a hearty look that made her eyes round and her cheeks bulging, who would be able to refuse her request?

As already so skilled in terms of seducing, Kinara managed to make Sinta sigh slowly before nodding her resigned head.

"Yeah!!!" exciting Kinara. It's a spirit, like someone who just won a lottery worth hundreds of millions.

Sinta could only shake her head slowly when Kinara suddenly lifted Lestari into the sling and took the little girl a step ahead of her.

"Nara, Nara .. was lucky to be your husband. Pretty, smart, good." Praise Sinta, even though she knows Kinara won't be able to hear it.

Kinara could not help but smile as Lestari thrust out a pack of already flattered chocolate candies, seemingly unintentionally being overpowered by the boy as he slept.

"Thank you!" exclaimed Kinara, accepting the candy was happy even though the shape was not convincing at all.

"I only have one" said Lestari. "I love you because you're good to me and Mom."

Kinara's smile grew wider. Especially when Lestari took out one more thing from inside her pants pocket. "If there are two. You want one?" hail the boy while thrusting a pink doll-shaped hairpin.

Kinara nodded with excitement. With Lestari, Kinara felt like she was again a child. His thoughts are still simple and his desire for something is still not as big as when he began to grow up.

"Would you wear it yourself or would you like to wear it?" ask Lestari.

The answer is clear. Kinara wanted Lestari to put the hairpin to her hair. So, Kinara immediately crouched down in front of Lestari so that the boy could put on a hairpin after his request.

"Udah" said Lestari. His eyes stared in satisfaction at the hairpin that was now stuck on Kinara's head.

"Thank you, Dance." Kinara said while holding a hairpin on her head.

Lestari simply nodded, then she stepped back once as Kinara began to rise to her feet.

"Well, I'll go home first, yeah. Later in the afternoon we play again if I come home from college." Pamphitt.

Lestari. Then, they did a simple farewell by waving each other's hands.

Sinta appeared shortly afterwards and immediately brought Lestari in because the boy had to shower immediately and get ready to go to school.

On her way home, Kinara unceasingly looked at the chocolate candy in her hand with a big smile. The candy he would not eat, he would store in one special box where he used to store items that had their own memories for him.

Ah, speaking of items full of memories, it seems like he should start cleaning his storage box because there are many items given by Atha and Dahayu.

Now, as their relationship can no longer go back to what it used to be, Kinara must start distancing herself from things that will remind her of their relationship that was originally fine. Because Kinara wasn't sure she could keep the items after what happened.

Arriving at the doorstep of the house, Kinara's smile was still there, although it was already not as wide as before after she recalled about Dahayu and Atha.

However, when his hand managed to touch the doorknob and was about to turn it around, the smile that was originally still a little was instantly gone when his cloud caught the sound of a motor that he was very familiar with.

Until the second before she turned around, Kinara was still hoping that she was misheard. Motorcycle with such a sound there are many in Jakarta, belonging to Atha is definitely not the only one.

But when her body had completely turned around, Kinara again felt her chest tight as the figure of Atha and her legendary motor moved into her yard.

"Why come so early, Atha?" he muttered almost without sound.
