The After The Rain

The After The Rain
New Friends

"What class are you in, Dance?" ask Kinara to Lestari who is now cool chewing regal biscuits given by Mama.

Since his mouth was full and could not answer, Lestari took out three index fingers to answer Kinara's question.

"Faraway school? What's it normally go up?"

This time, Lestari was able to answer because her chewing was done and she managed to swallow the biscuit that had softened it smoothly. After gulping down water from within the glass, Lestari looked at Kinara who was sitting beside her.

"Near, really. If again delivered with Mom, if he went home with friends." Lestari.

Kinara. But his curiosity about Lestari's figure was still not finished. He still had a lot of questions for the little girl.

"Keep, you like to go with your mom to the market every night?"

Preserve the nod, for now his mouth is full again.

"Not sleepy? Kan, it has to be school in the morning."

"N sleepy." Lestari answered with half full mouth. "But it's okay, because it pity you if you have to sell alone."

Wow... This small child even understands what is compassion for the mother? Kinara became curious, how well did his mother educate Lestari to be so unselfish? Because if Kinara remembers, back when she was in the third grade of elementary school, she still likes to be upset if Mama asks her to accompany her in the kitchen. Just accompanying, he wasn't even told to help.

When Kinara thought the information Lestari had conveyed was over, she was made to clench her lips as Lestari turned out to add another piece of information.

"I don't have any friends at home anyway, so mending goes with the sales lady at the market."

"You're just living together with your mother?"

Lestari. Since he was already full after eating a few pieces of regal biscuits, he put the jar back on the table after making sure it had closed properly.

"Your father?"

"Not having." Sahut Lestari flat. The boy did not even look sad at all when he said it, as if he was used to getting such questions so that his brain automatically set one answer that he would instantly give when the question appeared.

"Said Mom, my father went far away. But I said I don't have a father. He never showed up until now."

Lestari managed to get Kinara to reflect on what she said. Especially when the child casually sipped the remaining water from the glass to the toilet and rubbed the trail of water that moistened the corners of his lips using the back of his hand with a flat facial expression.

"You don't feel sorry for me."

"Huh?" Kinara was a little surprised as Lestari suddenly turned her head towards him and looked at him seriously.

"Said Mom, it's okay if I don't have a father. The important thing is that I still have a mother who loves me. Rich Mom, that's more than enough."

His mother said, how old is Lestari? Ten years? A ten-year-old can say such a thing with this kind of emotional management? Is that possible?

"I love you so much, Mom." Lestari still continued to chatter, and Kinara still faithfully listened even though she continued to be agape by every sentence that slid from the little lips of the child.

"Because of that, I want to finish school quickly, so I can work and make a lot of money. Later, all the money I'll give to Mom." Lestari smiled at the end of her sentence, but was imagining that she was actually growing up and could end up giving her mother a lot of money.

But, being an adult is not that easy, Dance. Inner Kinara. He grimaced, lamenting how innocent Lestari was still blind to the reality of life that was not as beautiful as what her innocent brain had imagined.

"Do you have money?" tanya Lestari suddenly, was very random, but Kinara still responded with a nod of his head.

"Make what?" tanyanya when Lestari never continued after she nodded her head.

"Yes, I'll give my money to Mama." Kinara said after finishing enjoying the sweetness of Lestari's smile.

"Smart kid."

Kinara could not help but smile as Lestari's small hand reached her face. At first the boy used his soft little hand to rub his cheek, then the hand turned over his head and gave a soft clap there.

"Mom likes to do this when I'm done with good things."

"Your mom's good at affirmation, cool." Kinara patted Lestari's tiny head back. "We're also cool because we can model what your mom shows you every day." He said, his smile grew wider when Lestari pulled her hand from her head and then smiled thinly.

"You're cool too, because you want to be my friend. Kan, I'm cool. So, you automatically get cool too."

Kinara chuckled while nodding her head. "Yes, we're both cool." He said after pulling his hand from Lestari's head.

Shortly after his piety subsided, Kinara and Lestari turned their heads toward the door as Mama and the Preservation flower walked into the house in tandem. The two women both threw gazes at them and smiled.

"Dance, it's noon, it's time for bed." Said Lestari's mother as she reached out to her little daughter.

"But I still want to play with him." Show Lestari to Kinara.

Sinta (his mother Lestari) turned a glance towards Kinara then looked back at her daughter with a smile. "Call Brother, Dance. Brother Kinara. It's not polite that you call her using her."

Lestari seemed to be digesting the mother's words, then the little girl looked at Kinara with obvious confusion emanating in her two clear eyeballs.

"But he doesn't want me to call him brother." Adu Lestari to her mother, made the woman chuckle softly.

"Okay, it's not polite to call an older one like that. From today, call Kak Kinara, okay?"

Lestari exhaled a long breath, as if her life burden was heavy. Then, the little girl nodded her head with a pouting face. He was forced to follow the mother's request.

"Sister Kinara, I'll go home first, yeah. We play again tonight." Lestari said as she extended her hand.

Kinara welcomed the helping hand and smiled faintly. "okay! Later in the afternoon change, yes, I'll play to your house."

Instead of answering, Lestari looked at her mother. Kinara looked at Sinta, wanting to know why Lestari was acting this way.

And Kinara only knew what Lestari meant when Sinta smiled and nodded her head. Apparently, the girl was asking permission from her mother.

"Said Mom, I can." Lestari said, thinking Kinara might not have understood his point.

"Yes, there you go home. Later in the afternoon I'll go to your house, bring biscuits with ice cream."

"Fuck!" Lestari waved her hand. Then, he walked cheerfully while holding the mother's hand.

His chatty mouth still continued to chatter even until he and his mother were almost on the porch of their house.

While Kinara was unceasingly smiling looking at Lestari's cuteness hidden behind her awesome adult demeanor.

"You should also take a nap, Nara."

Kinara turned towards Mama and smiled faintly. "You too's. Come on, we'll take a nap together."
