POV Ivan's
"Van, are you sure you want to marry Maria?" Ask the mother who sat in front of me who had only been watching me from far away.
"Very sure, Mom. Why are you asking me that?" I feel like something's wrong with Mom's question.
"Mom asked you to cancel all your plans Van, before it went too far." Say mom firmly. And honestly I was very surprised by the mother's statement, what's wrong?
"What did mom say? Why would you say that? I love Maria Mom very much, I know that and she's like that for saving me." I defied my mother with uncontrollable feelings of anger.
"But Van, I'm embarrassed when you get married and all our relationships know that mom's daughter-in-law can't talk. I've been discussing this with your father, and your father feels the same way as you do. We both don't approve of your relationship." Mother's words hurt me so much, my heart felt so sore.
"Then why did you say yesterday you agreed that I married her? And now suddenly mom changed her mind!!" I still speak with emotion.
"Yesterday the mother went to the hospital and saw the doctor who treated Maria. Mother asked about the situation, is there still hope for a full recovery? And the doctor said that the hope for Mary to be healed was very small and it was told to her mother Mary. It's likely that Mary will be mute for the rest of her life." I shed tears when I said that.
I'm riveted..
I can't believe it..
Why does it have to be like this?
I felt a very strong vibration in my heart. Everything I said changed my feelings for him. I will continue to fight even if my father and mother do not approve of our relationship. I will continue with the wedding plans with Maria even without my parents.
"I will continue to marry her no matter what condition Maria is in, everything she says does not affect how I feel about her." I'm lirih.
"If you don't want to obey us, mom and dad won't consider you a son anymore. And you won't inherit all our possessions, can you live without our intervention Van?" Mother was angry when I defended Mary desperately.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I will still choose Mary because to me possessions do not guarantee a happy person. And with Maria, I was always happy. If that's mom's decision, I'm saying goodbye and I'm not going back to this house." I left my mother in that place and cleaned my clothes without bringing a single facility from them.
Even all the ATMs you gave me, I gave them back and I just brought the things I bought with my hard work. I saw my mother go to her room without seeing me leave. The father who had just returned home seemed to understand this situation.
"You sure you chose Mary over your parents who took care of you from childhood? Won't you regret Van?" Dad looked at me with a cynical look.
"I won't regret my choice. Thank you mom and dad for being such good parents to me. Goodbye, greetings to my mother." I left my father glued to the door.
Arriving in front of the gate, the sound of someone shouting stopped my steps.
"Son Ivan." Shouted Mela.
Mela hugged me and said don't leave but I was already disappointed with their assessment. Mela cried in my arms, I rubbed her hair and said everything would be fine.
"But sister, can't you convince mom and dad?" Mela said.
"They've finished Mel, and sister can't change their decision. Once they say that, they'll staunchly defend the argument."
"Sister must go, take good care of yourself, my little brother. Your dear brother, sister, ask to take good care of father and mother. I'm sorry you can't be a good brother to you." Mela cried and hugged me again for the last time.
I let go of his embrace and let go. Mela's tears broke to see me leave everything behind.
I did not bring a motorbike or a car they gave me, I walked down a busy street with a passing vehicle. I don't know where I'm going because right now my mind is so messed up, all out of my control.
I am very confident that God will provide healing for Mary, we just try as much as we can and as much as possible. When my heart was in turmoil, there was a phone call from Daffa. She told me that Maria had fainted and was on her way to the hospital. I was panicking and confused as to what to do. I immediately went to Zain's house, because Zain's house was the closest to the city park.
I was half running, the scorching sun did not dampen my spirit to quickly reach Zain's house. My sweat splashed on my forehead, my breath was wheezing with fatigue. I haven't asked Zain to the security guard, the gate is open. The security guard recognized me and Zain told me I could go straight to his room.
I rushed to Zain's room. I saw her house was very quiet, Zain's mother was not at home doing business abroad he said. I went straight upstairs to Zain's room, I knocked on the door with no answer, once twice three times there was no answer.
I just wait outside her room, it's very rude that I have to go straight into her room even though Zain has allowed it but I still feel bad.
"Van's.." Zain's voice sounded behind me.
"Zayn? Aren't you in the room?" I said half confused.
"Yeeee from earlier I was in the park behind Van times. Talk to Kia again." He replied while glancing towards Kia.
"And the plan is now that we're going to Maria's house." Kia.
"That's why I came here Zain Kia. Daffa told me and he said that Maria fainted, now she's going to the hospital." My speech.
"WHAT????" answer them compactly.
"Why have you been here for so long? Let's go straight to the hospital." Take Zain.
The three of us went straight down the stairs to Zain's car parked in the garage. The three of us entered Zain's car with a feeling of anxiety.
On the way Zain realized that I was carrying a suitcase.
"Van, why are you carrying all the suitcases? Want to stop?" Ask Zain who is driving his car.
"Not come back but go forever! I've been scribbled off the family list." I said as I continued to stare towards the road.
"Huh?" Zain was surprised and stopped his car for a moment.
Kia who was in the back seat asked,
"What about Ivan?"
I also told them about the incident, they looked sad with the fate of both of us. Our love story is constantly getting a very heavy ordeal.
They kept encouraging me and Zain advised me to stay at his house. I turned down Zain's offer because I felt bad about having to trouble others. I only asked for a rented house to Zain because the savings of part-time work in Canada is still enough to rent a rented house and our simple wedding costs later.
He agreed and would help me find a rented house, while for a while two days I would stay with Zain first.
Thank you Zain..
