The Borders

The Borders
Part 4 – Return of That Person

Kyler still demands an explanation for everything that happened last night. How could Kashel know the weakness of the Border Portal and be able to sense its presence as well.

Had it not been that night Kashel did not instantly create a barrier they would all have been injured due to the explosive impact of the appearance of the Border Portal. But, despite asking for an explanation no one was willing to explain it to Kyler, as if keeping it a secret.

Moreover, after the wound was treated Luan, although still unable to move Kashel did not want to be disturbed at all by anyone.

"Since you all don't want to explain it to me, I'll ask Kashel for an explanation directly." Kyler was burning with curiosity.

Kashel looked curled up in the bed where he was resting like he was fine. It's just that he was in shock from last night's incident, which is what Kashel would do if he felt an inner pressure. Luan also follows Kyler to come close to Kashel who seems to have looked fine.

Next to Kashel's bed in the treatment room blocked only by curtains was Anna who was unconscious. The woman ran out of magic energy as she forced herself to fight until she reached her limit. Luckily he was fine just needing to recover his magic energy back.

"Kashel I min –" Kyler's speech that just entered the room was cut off by Luan who suddenly interjected.

"Kashel can you heal your wounds with your own abilities. You know my healing abilities won't work against you." Luan spoke directly beside Kashel.

This further confused Kyler again, there is an ability that does not work on Kashel. Actually Luan's ability could serve to help Kashel but he would also definitely run out of steam if he forced it and Kashel would also definitely forbid him from doing so.

"I don't want to" Kashel said briefly and flatly.

"Kashel, you know he'd be very upset if he knew he was hurt like this." Luan looks whining.

"She knows, and she'll be back soon." Kashel explained flat again.

"I was so scared that I wanted to hide in the ant pit." Luan panicked thinking about it.

"At least heal Kashel's wound" Luan asked.

"Whealing or not my wounds will have no effect on his anger, do you know how Liam is?" Kashel woke herself up. The other friends who had just entered the treatment room just kept quiet did not dare to speak and just waited for how Liam would teach them a lesson later.

Kyler is still confused about Liam, and is also confused as to why he is feared. Kyler was interested in all of this.

"Who is Lyam?" finally Kyler asked.

"That priest was Kashel's partner. If likened it is the opposite of the nature of Kashel. He is a cruel person. I don't even want to look him in the eye." Rigel shuddered.

"Bas a coward, if you don't dare to face it let me face it." The clueless Kyler still boasted of himself.

"You won't know anything if you don't see it for yourself, how Lyam is." Rigel's annoyed.

"I hope you're not looking for him, don't add any more trouble." Kashel then brushed her messy hair away, Kashel's gaze looking sharp and cold, her red eyes looking slightly shiny, even Kyler felt goosebumps when he saw that look.

"You saw Kashel's gaze just now goosebumps. Let alone Lyam, his gaze was even many times that of Kashel's cold gaze just now." Clearly Rigel whispered, the rest of his friends could only remain silent. Looking at Kashel's gaze that changed from usual. They knew, although it was still a long way away that person was very angry there.

"You'd better just hide if he's really back. I'm lazy to see him too." Obviously Kashel went walking past his friends.

"The tempramen. Ck, if you see him hurting you, this time I'll get him into a fight." Kashel's words moved his friends to hear it.

"But still I want you guys to hide first, because I also want to hide from him. I'm too lazy to see his face now." Kashel said again, and made his friends' hopes of him collapse. After knowing the fact even Kashel himself wanted to run away.

"Kashel, you were saying really cool words. Now you pull it and let us down. At least take responsibility for your words." Rigel's protest of his other friends nodded his head as well.

"But the truth is, I can't fight it because I don't have the strength. Haha." Kashel's cold gaze had changed again as it was usually replaced with a typical Kashel laugh.

"Use your strength then." Luan Protests.

"It's no use, after all we can't defeat each other, even if I use force or not." Kashel said lightly .

"Kashel you're outrageous," Luan's eyes paled, Kashel throwing his face the other way not wanting to discuss that anymore.

"I, I'll deal with it later!" Kyler said firmly, it's time to show everyone that he is so strong, Kashel smiled lightly in response.

"One more time I say, I hope you don't get into trouble with him, or he's wrong he'll ruin your mentality." Kashel warns Kyler to return.

Kyler seemed more excited about it, and Kashel finally explained.

"Originally you know, to me he is a human demon. It is just his appearance that is human. But he's a creature that has no feelings at all. He didn't hesitate to do anything for his purpose." Kashel spoke seriously to Kyler. He did not want his friend to get hurt.

"Even I was the one he once mentally damaged until he almost lost hope for life. Although it is undeniable that he is my own partner." Looking at Kashel's sorrowful gaze, Kyler swallowed his bitter saliva.

Curious how could a man like Liam remain his partner even after mentally damaging Kashel, which if it were a casual occurrence or one felt by someone other than Kashel would definitely become hostile towards each other or at the very least, not be a friend or colleague anymore. But Kashel still recognized him as a colleague even after all the events he had experienced.

This feeling. Kashel suddenly looked surprised and his friends were just as surprised. Because all of a sudden everyone was unable to move they all felt an extremely strong aura of anger, even Kyler who wanted to resist the pressure had his legs visibly trembling. Only Kashel seemed to be able to move his body.

"Why did he come back so soon, that man has returned." Kashel muttered in cold sweat, he was worried about the fate of his friends, as they had all promised when Lyam left. They could not let Kashel get hurt in the slightest and they supported him.

Kashel had to get out of the room to keep his friends from meeting with Liam. Kashel left the room without saying anything.

Kyler doesn't understand. Seeing that Kashel was feeling rivaled, the person he thought was weak did not even budge with the pressure of anger that could not even make himself and his guardian spirit move.

The rest of Kashel's friends wished they had not all died today because of Liam's anger. They wanted more now to be able to be like Anna unconscious and not know anything.

Kashel walks out of the treatment room, intending to avoid Lyam and hide somewhere else. Although it is useless, because still he will definitely be found Liam also in the end. Instead of being afraid, it was just that if he met the man that Kashel felt his peaceful life became ripped back, after almost a month he felt free from reality.

Seeing Lyam actually made Kashel a little upset, especially if his arrival made a fuss and only scared his friends.

Kashel rested himself in the corner of the room near the window where no one else was supposed to be seen coming because it was blocked by the bookshelf. Kashel breathed in worry.

"Here you look." The heavy voice of a man who was standing next to him he wore a black long suit with black shirt and pants as well as the color of his pale skin and his stocky body contrasted sharply with black that white, her eyes looking bright red. Kashel seemed surprised, seeing his presence.

"So soon you find me" Kashel murmured with a sullen expression.

"I'm going to hide, but you can find me right away, this isn't hiding his name." Kashel looks annoyed, although intent on hiding still Liam can find it easily. Kashel had done it many times, but it only ended in vain and was a shame for him.

"But where has everyone been useless?" Lyam looked at Kashel sharply but Kashel did not flinch with Liam's sharp gaze with his red eyes similar to Kashel's, but the color of those eyes was more bright red than Kashel's.

"Promised me to keep you from getting hurt, and now they're denying it. I'll teach them a good lesson." Said Lyam with an aura of anger. Especially after seeing the bandages on Kashel's forehead and hands.

"Don't think of hurting them, let's first have my body!" Kashel yells firmly at Liam and challenges him.

"You want to challenge me, even if your abilities are currently limited. Even the wounds on your forehead and arms you can't heal directly. That little wound." Liam admonished Kashel with a flat and cold speech while pointing at him.

"You already know this is a minor wound but you want to keep punishing my friends after everything. I won't let it, I'll fight you. You also can't defeat me even without strength." Kashel challenged Lyam with his irritated expression.

"Even though they broke their promise to protect you, and I'm just charging them back." Said Lyam in a flat tone.

"Listen to Lyam I'd be so angry if you hurt them, I can't do anything. As your master hears orders from me, don't hurt my friends." Kashel said lowly a little bowed, his words not at all firm.

"Only at a time like this will you admit that you are my master, but it is okay according to our contract, I will obey all my master's orders." Kashel looked only at Liam's nanar, he never wanted his power on Liam. But only that could make Liam submit to him.

Although Liam is attached to him he just wants to consider Liam his partner so that their position is equal. But it could not be for a creature like Liam he could not be approached with just the word partner, he wanted to be subordinate to the ruled but Kashel did not like to rule, he said, only forced to protect his friends or for the people he loves.

"Use your strength to heal your wounds." Said Lyam sitting herself on the sofa.

"I don't want to, just leave it like this." Kashel did not care that he was also sitting on the sofa of this room. The atmosphere was not as tense as it was, Liam apparently directly obeyed Kashel's orders completely, and stopped the aura of anger that enveloped the office.

"I'm very surprised, even after everything you still want to be a normal human being in general. Even the glasses you use. It's really weird, I don't understand."

"I told you you have to accept your fate" Liam continued to babble at Kashel.

BUKS!

The pillow landed on Lyam's face, he did not put up any resistance at all.

"I will not use this power that could hurt others for myself, I will only use it to help others. That's if I'm ready to use it." Obviously Kashel, Liam's expression did not even change after the pillow landed on his face.

"As for you, I don't want to interfere with your wishes. But obviously, your freedom will be reduced. You won't be free completely alone out there without a bodyguard, as long as you can't fight alone."

"Week! Why do I care," inexplicably Kashel mocked Liam after hearing the words just now, he did not want to continue the discussion.

Kashel then leaves Lyam relaxing on the sofa to meet his friends.

The boy, never changed even after the great power was residing in his body. From the very beginning he was a very interesting person, the inner Lyam he mourned the departure of Kashel.

THE CZECH!

The sound of the door opening. Kashel's friends were apparently surprised by Kashel's arrival. They think it's Liam while Kyler he's tied up in the corner of the room.

When the entire aura of anger suddenly disappeared. They tied Kyler up, so Kyler wouldn't mess up the tension that Kashel was calming.

"It's okay now." Kashel said directly.

"Is Kashel really you, really, not kidding?" Erphan asked still not believing the others were also still timid.

"Yes I'm serious" Kashel said as she untied Kyler.

"I want to meet the Liam," said Kyler quickly out of the room.

"Good god that kid!" Freda looked upset and opened her voice at last.

"Just let it go, Liam will hold back." Kashel.

"Hei Kashel what did you do to Liam so he forgave us, even after seeing your wounds that did not heal." Luan shook Kashel's body asking for an explanation and Kashel only chuckled lightly unwilling to explain.

"Certainly Kashel used his orders." Chain guessed right on target. And Kashel remained silent without response.

"All! Kashel I'm so grateful to you, even for us you want to do something you don't want to do." Rigel lunged at Kashel and hugged her tightly. He was deeply moved to know that Kashel was very unwilling to rule Liam with his power as his master.

"Le-let me go Rigel, don't talk about it anymore. I don't want to remember, and what you're doing right now is terrible." Kashel felt uncomfortable Rigel hugging her.

"Anna, she's awake." Erphan suddenly spoke.

"What's happened?" anna asked confusedly from hearing the commotion just now.

"Wash him back," said Freda casually.

"What?!" Anna was surprised.

"It's okay, I've dealt with it. You better rest longer." Kashel said he then walked out of the room to see Kyler facing Liam. And Anna could breathe a sigh of relief because of it.

"Kyler Lamont, the new kid apparently. Introduce my name, Liam Raymond. A Guardian and a contractor from Kashel." Lyam introduced herself while holding Kyler's data file.

Kyler immediately sat down limp after getting a look of intimidation from Liam. He felt wrong to have wanted to challenge the Guardian form of The Borders itself. He did not expect and did not know if he would work under his direct leadership. It was an honor for Kyler, but it was also a very frightening thing for her after feeling the frightening aura from Liam directly.

"You told me not to hurt my friends." Kashel immediately helped Kyler stand up, staring intently at Lyam.

"Kashel why don't you tell me you're such a cool person!" Kyler's eyes glimmered at Kashel.

"Eh?" Kashel was confused by Kyler's sudden change of attitude, asking Liam for an explanation with his gaze.

"I didn't hurt her, maybe she was just shocked by my aura from not getting used to it." Obviously Lyam shrugged his shoulders sitting himself in the chair normally occupied by Kashel taking over Kashel's job, nor did he know why Kyler suddenly behaved like that.
