The Borders

The Borders
Section 145 – In-ground Traps

"Thick fog. Will this not have the same effect as the fog we once faced, the illusionary fog?" ask Rigel to Kashel.

"If the effect is the same, I hope you've had more experience with Rigel." Kashel. He only has to worry about Rai if it's like that.

"I understand the chairman," said Rigel lethargic. After all he had remembered his past well now and did not mind it anymore.

"But it seems like this fog does not create an illusion, but it absorbs our stamina. I guess we're not that far away but I feel tired." Rai said lethargic. Kashel also felt the same way, Kashel was confused not knowing what he should do, because of his ability Kashel could recover himself faster, than others.

"I wish I could share my magic energy with my friends." Kashel Mumbled.

CRUST!

The ground where Rigel's feet were walking at the front was cracked. The exhausted Rigel lost his balance.

"Element ground!" Kashel immediately shouted to make the ground stand, Rigel survived and fell lying on the spot that Kashel made.

Suddenly there was a sound of vibration from above that made the three people look up it was an avalanche of rocks.

It's already started, apparently, a trap. Inner Kashel, Rigel rose Kashel instantly making ground footing for them to run to the top of that mountain, with the rest of his strength the three of them continued to run dodging the stones that fell towards the three of them. If there was any right hitting their heads Kashel directly protected his friends with his land element as well.

They finally reached the top of Mount Khayalan, but there was nothing there. There was only wind. Kashel realized it would not be that easy as they got the magic stone.

The three of them just lay down while recovering the energy that had been drained away.

Kashel looks really breathless in addition to having to cast a big magic to survive in the surroundings and also the surrounding nature that absorbs their magic.

KRATAKS!

Not even had time to stand the ground where they stood on foot had cracked back. Kashel now still needs time to recover his strength, he has enough to force himself.

A BLURG!

The ground collapsed making a deep hole and dropping them into it.

"Brandon!" Rigel shouted, but even though they were now on Brandon's back. There was something pulling them strong underground. The exit above them was closed.

"If you know mending we go straight to the bottom of it." Kashel said he felt they were a waste of energy.

After a few minutes of falling with a kecang, Rigel saw the bottom.

"No, I'd die if I resisted falling at such speed."

"Aanglain!" Kashel immediately shouted at the dead words of his friend, making Kashel lose his mind. He did not care, he would be injured for using other elements forcibly when there was an element stone nearby.

The three of them were stuck in the air even though the fall did not feel painful at all.

"Ohuk!" Kashel immediately coughed in blood, and lying there holding his chest in pain, he overstressed himself.

"I'm fine, don't worry too much about me which is important you guys are fine." Kashel.

"You're worried about yourself too!" rai's emotions lifted Kashel with emotion clutching her collar. Kashel looked up at Rai and suddenly got angry. Feeling guilty.

"Rai is right Kashel, you also need to worry about yourself." Rigel sat down near the two of them. "This place has strong gravity." Said again.

Kashel sat herself down after her feelings started to get better.

"You want to take a magic supplement?" tawal Rai's. Kashel looked at him.

"The medicine won't work for me." Answer Kashel.

"You can't take magic medicine?" tanya Rai did not believe it.

"I was originally just a normal person who gained the great power of The Borders. Obviously no magic medicine would work on me. Although magic can already hurt me, but not with the medicine that can cure me." Kashel.

"You rest easy, I am endowed with the power of The Borders which has a fairly fast self-recovery ability if I use it. So, no real magic medicine." Kashel said again. He then showed his injured hand due to being hit by a piece of stone some time ago on Rai. The wound slowly healed and disappeared without a trace.

"I feel guilty for worrying about you. The outer wound just healed that fast, I'm sure the inner wound has healed from earlier." Rai. "But do not allow yourself to be severely injured and exposed to Kashel's vital organs, no matter how great you may be. You're gonna die." Rai flicked Kashel's forehead in annoyance.

"I knew. So you don't have to worry. I can take care of myself, you're like a big brother scolding his sister." Kashel said crossing her arms around her stomach while closing her eyes.

"I am indeed your brother." Rai stood up, and looked around. Rigel thinks the two of them are indeed similar as cousins if one of them will be mistaken for brothers.

Kashel stood up, he looked mediocre, due to the influence of the earth element stone that strengthened his magic.

Rai and Rigel felt they were both a burden to Kashel because of it.

"Kashel, if we're just being your burden here. Just leave us both." Said Rai, he had agreed with Rigel to do that.

"Don't think no-no friends. I won't leave you guys, I can't finish this all by myself, I'll end up here too if I do it alone." Kashel looked at his two friends. "I wouldn't have been able to survive if I had only relied on the element of my land, and this gravitational trap would have been for a short while along this path, there should have been another trap after all." Kashel looked to his left and right.

After that moment of pressure felt by Rai and Rigel disappeared they both felt that the current body felt light again, suddenly there was a tremor and from the front there was a giant ball of earth that was rolling towards the three of them Kashel directly ignited it with elements of land belonging to Kashel, who was, then from above there was a giant ball of earth that also came. Kashel is confused to do nothing but Rai who instantly destroys the ball of earth that wants to hit them with his lightning strike is strong enough. So that the ball of land was instantly smashed into pieces. So did Rigel he banish the ball of earth coming from behind them.

THE DUAR!

THE DUAR!

A BLAR!

The sound of the ground explosion that continued to be destroyed the attack was not once but kept coming. Inevitably Rai and Rigel smash the stone that was in front of them. Currently the lightning and fire belonging to Rai and Rigel are effective to make way inside the land. Kashel's strength was ineffective here because the ground would only close the road in the end. Although little by little the three of them were finally able to end the attack from the trap. But this time they had to face the mud pool.

"I didn't expect we were on trial to survive here." Rai muttered in disbelief.
