The Borders
Section 44 – Unexpected Capabilities

Kashel is besieged by four of his former squads Mai, Rewa, Jeya and Drax. Kashel had already activated his protective spell, which this time was a slightly different protective spell.

The protective spell that Kashel used this time was a protective spell with the type reflecting back the strength of the Boundary Guard Knights. At first he was just trying, because he did not know what the effect would be like.

"What do you all want to do?" kashel asked, but he still wanted an explanation as to why his friend behaved like that. Hoping to get a good explanation is not what he thinks.

"You don't pretend to be stupid. Because of you the four of us didn't pass the exam last night!" one of them named Jeya yelled at Kashel. Though Kashel did not even know that the four of them did not graduate.

"Why do you blame me for your insincerity."

Their own fault, why am I to blame. I should be the one who gets hurt the most here. Kashel's mind watched his four friends who surrounded him.

"It so happens that your heart is fragile Kashel, we will teach you a lesson. So you don't underestimate us." Cold young man named Drax who was standing in front of him.

"When did I underestimate you?" Kashel asked again, never underestimating the man that was Kashel. He was quite self-aware that he was weak, there was no reason to underestimate others.

"Even, inwardly now you're underestimating us for not graduating." Mai who was to her left spoke.

Though Kashel did not think of it at all, he was only disappointed that his friends who were here were just fake friends. But he never underestimated his friend who didn't pass last night's test.

"Receive our attack!" The four of them immediately attacked in unison and had Kashel not used a barrier spell he would have sustained quite severe internal injuries.

However, Kashel's barrier spell was activated and the magic energy was reflected back to the invading one. The four friends were immediately bounced by their own attacks and saw them bruised, as a result of the explosion they even reflected off the classroom wall.

Kashel also fell unconscious afterwards, his stamina instantly drained away. But he had no injuries at all.

Everyone immediately gathered to see the five unconscious people.

Kashel wakes up in the academy's treatment room. His body still felt weak, but he felt no pain.

While in a place that was blocked curtains were seen the four friends who were on the infusion because they were injured by a magic attack.

The nurse came from the room to Kashel who was lying down. And checking.

"You're fine. After a whole day's sleep." The nurse spoke flatly. Kashel was surprised, he missed his subjects at school.

"What's really going on?" the nurse asked Kashel. He could not give Kashel a stamina recovery magic pill because the magic medicine did not work on Kashel. So then given a prescription of medical drugs in general. To help him recover. Of course Kashel had to look for it himself because in this academy there were no medical drugs from doctors.

"The four of them attacked me and after that I don't remember anything anymore." Kashel said he was not even aware of how the four attacked him, but that Kashel's vision turned white when the attack struck his deterrent spell.

"The four of them are now injured and are still unconscious." The nurse told me about the people who attacked her this morning.

"What ability did you use to reflect the magic power of that element?" ask the nurse again.

"I just used the protective spell I just learned." Kashel said he felt guilty because the protective spell he used could hurt others.

"You better be careful Kashel, don't recklessly use abilities that could harm others, if you can't control them." The nurse advised Kashel.

"You're quite an expert as it turns out, an ordinary person can withstand the magic of four people and reflect it. No wonder someone bled Kendrick." The nurse said again and then immediately left Kashel sitting pensively feeling guilty.

The next day Kashel had fully recovered and was preparing to go to school from her dorm room. He is already deterred and will not use the spell again, because it can hurt others.

Along the way people whispered while looking at him. Because of yesterday's commotion Kashel became famous. His protective spell ability defeated the one who possessed magic energy. Perhaps it was the pay for Kashel's hard work to survive in a world he didn't want.

Kashel did not understand why everyone was seen whispering as he passed by people. Unlike usual his presence is not even considered by people or if anyone thinks it there will only sneer loudly.

Kashel's friends who attacked him yesterday have also come to their senses despite some of his body being bandaged.

When they saw Kashel they avoided him like they had been deterred from doing the same thing yesterday and were unconscious for a whole day.

Even in his class the people stayed away from Kashel no one wanted to go near him, Kashel was no longer concerned. In this place he could not hope to find the friends he was looking for. But Kashel will not give up, because if he does not get it here he can find it elsewhere.

Kashel believes he is just unlucky to meet with friends who have only used him so far.

Kashel assures herself that there are people out there with different hearts who will be best friends with her one day. Since people's hearts aren't always the same, there must be people who are different in their minds than the people inside this academy.

It turns out that during this time, rumors spread that Kashel had a powerful protective spell. The protective spell that could reflect magic energy back to its attacker was very rare for anyone to master it.

Even more shocking, Kashel could withstand a four-man attack at once even though he was not a strong Boundary Guard Knight but withstanding the attacks of four different people it was an amazing thing. Although he eventually ended up falling unconscious.

Lyam from class A is interested in the abilities of ordinary children who in an instant are immediately famous for their abilities.

Though all Kashel has been doing is trying to overcome his weak stamina by exercising in the morning. To be able to strengthen his protective spell.

"Whoever the boy was so attractive, he became a child that could not be underestimated." Lyam heard the rumor, the rumor about Kashel's barrier spell got to class A, where people with renowned abilities, though interested in Kashel's abilities were only a Lyam. Because many others consider Kashel to be a failed Kendrick.

Kashel now spends much of his time in the academy's library, as he wants to finish his final year with good grades.

So Kashel prepared it from now on, but when choosing a book, it was seen that Liam had been beside him was looking sharply.

"A-what's up?" kashel asked a little nervously.

"I heard your protective spell ability is quite strong, I want to invite you to a power fight." Liam immediately spoke without further ado in the library that no one heard their conversation.

"Huh, what?!" Kashel was surprised to hear the challenge.
