The Borders

The Borders
Section 106 – Fireball Attack

Argai seemed to chuckle, he realized between the Guardian and Kashel there is indeed a bond because normally ordinary humans can not carelessly rule the Guardian as they please. Even the Guardian did not refute Kashel at all and directly obeyed his words obediently.

"I saw a map of the ruins of this palace, in the flames just now." Lyam said briefly and Kashel's friends listened carefully.

"We're almost where the magic stone is." The Guardian continued.

"Are there any other traps?" ask Argai make sure.

"There should be one last one right in this place." The Guardian said, Kyler who was lying down immediately sat down after hearing it.

"Why did you just say?!" Kashel immediately stood up in surprise.

The four of them were instantly on guard with the surroundings.

"What's our next opponent, Liam?" Kashel asked again.

"Fire ball ...." Just as Liam finished his words, a ball of fire shot towards them.

"It's a hassle, protective spell!" Kashel instantly activated her protective spell and protected her friends.

Liam's ability to create different dimensions could not be used here either. As a strong seal. This place, too, limits some of the powers that change the shape of the dimension, because the seal in this place uses the impact of human life. Just like Rainer's seal sealed Kashel's power, but Rainer's seal is rather special because the base material of the seal is the magic power of The Borders itself, so that it can withstand the power of the Borders for many years.

If it seals with a sacrifice with the lives of ordinary humans or witches generally, then, if the power of The Borders was truly used any seal it would definitely remain indestructible even though it could still withstand the strength of the border some time. But, inside such a land would also end up quite dangerous if forced. Their faults will end up buried by the ruins.

"My strength does not serve to secure us from the oncoming fireball attack, Kashel I will give you all protection." Kashel just smiled wryly. He wasn't sure he could withstand it if it was a huge explosion and a long barrage of attacks. Unless Kashel chooses his powers to spiral out of control.

I'll stall her with another magic if my protective spell isn't strong, I can't get out of control. Kashel convinced himself. Now the attacks came one by one like rain hitting it. His friends did not stay silent and helped Kashel Freda with his shadow ability to make a layer of shield. Kyler with her ice element also helped although now her energy has not fully recovered. Argai also makes a layered shield from the elements of his land.

The attacks did not stop in a while, Liam went looking for the weak point of the fireballs so he had his own job to stop the magic trap attack. Freda began to fall exhausted from running out of magic energy.

Kashel's friends had exhausted themselves one by one and were sitting in the barrier of Kashel.

"Are we going to die here?" Kyler lying on the ground was resigned, he already had energy again now.

It's frustrating, how long can I survive now, back when I was in the academy I could only withstand four attacks at once and after that I was already unconscious.

Now I can endure it more, but this barrier spell won't last much longer, Liam hurry. Kashel.

CRUST!

Kashel's barrier is starting to break.

"Element of the land, shield of the land!" Kashel quickly turned his barrier spell into an earth-shielding element just as his protective spell shattered. He immediately fell down because he forced himself, the fire in his hand grew. Because he shouldn't have used, any other element besides fire here. Kashel's magic flow instantly became chaotic.

"Lyam hurry up." Think Kashel.

"Please hold on for a little while Kashel." Lyam answered Kashel's thoughts. Kashel looked surprised.

As a result of his chaotic magical energy, Kashel could not control his mind's connection with Liam. He accidentally activated that ability.

Lyam outside the shield that Kashel made was checking one by one where the fireballs appeared. He used a shield of fire and a sword of fire to repel the attacks that came. Right now the place was turning into a sea of magic explosions within which were five people trying to survive.

The ground shield that Kashel made was quite thick and strong. So that it can make them protected for a while from the explosion of the big explosion. Though now because of that the fire that came out of the palm of Kashel became up to his elbow now.

The place was not so spacious but it was enough for them to stay there at least not crammed. Kashel stayed away from his friend, because he got out of control with his fire power. He did not want to be close to his friends because Kashel knew what was coming out of his arms was currently very hot. Even Kashel could feel the heat on his arm.

"I'm sorry" Kashel held his burning arm, the place was lit by the fire of Kashel. And stay cool with the remaining magic from Kyler that continues to help cool them from outside attacks.

"Don't blame yourself Kashel, we're fine. Thanks to you too we can all still live." The three of them seemed to have recovered after taking the magic supplement and rested for a while. But, they did not need to use their current abilities because Kashel's shield was extremely strong, even if they were out it was necessary to think of a way to get out of that place. Despite that somehow the place still had a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Magic can naturally protect its users who are human when they desperately need oxygen to breathe, so that oxygen is absorbed from the outside and given to their users and those around them.

"It turns out you can also use the earth element yes, exactly the same as the Guardian." Argai said he was interested again in the ability of Kashel.

"You seem very curious, it's true that I'm tied to the Guardian. And can use his power." Kashel spoke honestly this time he was no longer interested in hiding it.

"Guardians are tied to other people, what happens to the Guardian if you get hurt and die?" Argai is interested in something else.

"Why are you even interested in that?" Kashel.

"Nothing, I'm just curious." Argai.

Kashel is unlikely to tell us what his weaknesses are, what his ties to the Guardian are and how important he is to the Guardian. Even Kashel's friends don't know much. Only the Guardians know for sure what bond they are in.

"I don't think there will be any influence. The Guardian is strong." Kashel lied about the real truth. He remembered the words of Lyam. About not believing in anyone she just met.

"I see," he said, then kept silent again Kashel did nothing after that.

SRAA!

Suddenly the ground that wrapped the four of them turned into brittle sand then shattered, making Kashel startled and instantly stand up.

Behind Kashel was Lyam standing with his red eyes, not a Guardian but now his whole body was burning with fire. The magic control is fucked.

Kashel's friends looked terrified at the back of Kashel's body. Kashel looked slowly. See what is now behind him. Turns out Lyam with the whole body burned what lit up.

"Pfh! Awaha!" Kashel laughed at Liam's appearance.

"Fire monster." Kashel continued to mock Lyam.

Just after the attack stopped Kashel even laughed at Lyam, he already did not remember the incident that almost made their lives drift.
