The Borders

The Borders
Part 33 – Lonely Freda II

Suddenly an attack from another direction came, this time wanting to attack Freda. They were all shocked by the impromptu attack except Grizelle, of course, she was just confused.

Freda just covered her face because she didn't know what to do.

DASHH!

The sound of a stalk, something was protecting Freda. The girl was quite surprised.

Upon seeing the shadow that protected him a vague memory appeared again, he finally realized that the shadow was bound to him and established a life and death contract with him. But that was all he remembered, how it happened he could be bound he still could not remember, but it was enough to make Freda understand. And he remembered that he was one of the people who was able to control the Protective Spirit.

"Give me a counterattack, shadow bullet." Freda remembered one of the abilities he often used, he shot a shadow towards the forest where the attack had just appeared.

They all headed to the suspected site of the attack. But there's nobody there.

"You're also a special-ability person apparently." Lyam is attracted to Freda's ability, he never meets the owner of dark energy which like Freda's, dark energy does not contain the slightest darkness. Only his abilities were still in the dark.

"How about you join our division." Liam offered me a job. He was really interested in Freda no matter who the assailant had just disappeared with.

"I hear you don't remember anything, there you'll get a decent place to live." Liam explained everything after that. It turned out that Liam even eavesdropped on their conversation.

This fellow. Kashel's mind was irritated, even the private conversation the three of them were listening to. According to Kashel it was very disrespectful. But Kashel was silent and did not protest.

"Can I stay there? Of course I would if my abilities could be useful I wouldn't be alone anymore." Freda, who felt he had no direction and no purpose, finally agreed to Lyam's offer.

Kashel and Grizelle they both of course immediately agreed to Lyam's decision. After all the Dusk Boundary Division was still very lacking in people and needed new members back then.

Although the Dusk Boundary Division did not have a day off, Kashel always took himself to take Grizelle for a walk with him when his work was leisurely. Despite Kashel's troubles, he still did so because he felt happy when he saw the woman he loved happy.

For the enemy who attacked them back then, they had no idea who the attacker was. When Liam and the others checked, there really was no one there. Not even a trace of it existed at all.

After that they received Freda in the Dusk Boundary Division without considering many things, especially the Dusk Boundary Division when it was still lacking people.

After arranging all his files, Freda officially became part of the Dusk Boundary Division. Of course after the presence of Rigel, Luan and Anna. They all welcomed Freda warmly, their presence all taking away the loneliness that was in Freda's heart. Because at the beginning Freda felt lonely due to his loneliness.

"Umm I'll call you Shadow because you're a shadow." Freda smiled at her guardian spirit. Although Freda's hair is white blonde, she is a beautiful and mature looking girl. Even prettier than Anna and Grizelle.

"This is your work space, I will introduce other places as well. Let's follow me." Freda followed Kashel behind him.

"Freda in this case you have to do this, not be too hasty, okay. Don't let yourself be in danger." Kashel was very kind to him, he taught Freda many things about the office and how they worked after his arrival there.

No one really complains with their work despite being exhausting, they all remain excited.

Freda was amazed at the nature of Kashel as such. But Kashel never thought more about Freda, he loved Grizelle more than anything. And everyone in his office is his friend and he considers his family.

Most of Kashel's time when relaxed, he spent with Grizelle. He always accompanied the woman happily, as Kashel felt his fatigue lessen when the girl smiled at him.

However, since the Border Portal often appears Kashel is not so able to get out of his office. He could no longer be free, especially when Kashel was strongly opposed to using his power.

His office was then guarded with a layered protective spell that would of course be very difficult to penetrate by the Spirit of Darkness. This spell is the Lyam who made it. The first spell in the office courtyard, the second spell covering the office and the last spell in the working room Kashel.

Lyam did this just in case no one attacked Kashel when he was not on his side to guard Kashel.

"We're gonna start seeing Grizelle less often." Kashel looked sad.

"It's okay Kashel. For your safety's sake," Grizelle smiled rather sadly but she was a strong woman. Then Grizelle stroked Kashel's head.

"If you can't visit me, I'm the one who's coming to see you." Grizelle said with a smile. Kashel hugged him happily.

"Le-let go of me, ashamed to know the sight of people." Grizelle.

"I'm glad to have someone as valuable as you Grizelle, you're so understanding." Kashel spoke very excitedly.

Freda who was standing not far from there noticed the closeness of the two of them. Not expressing a bit he immediately went away.

Liam only noticed them from the glass of their office space on the second floor.

The meeting of Kashel and Freda was not like the meeting of Kashel and his other companions.

Freda just happens to be helped by Liam but because of the creepy Lyam, Freda is more sympathetic to Kashel who is very warm people.

He cares so much for others, takes care of all those who live there like he becomes a parent who takes care of his children.

Then run the task of the Head Office which is quite troublesome, the Head Office does not like their division because it is considered to violate the rules.

Until a crisis where the Head Office wants to disband their division if it doesn't find two more people who will work there.

Lyam did not care about it, which he knew if Kashel had no purpose he had to go with him to find the black spot in this world and destroy it.

However, as there was this place Lyam did not have the right to govern Kashel because of his work as well, as Kashel also overcame the same dark magic energy that enveloped his hometown of Baltesam.
