The Borders
Section 120 – Effect of Water Element Stone

Kashel approached Dirga.

"You want a soda?" tanya Kashel offered a can of cold soda.

"Thank you," said Dirga politely accepting it.

He's actually a good young man. But, why could he hate such a person huh. Kashel was curious.

"I'm sorry, I just don't want to see anyone else die in front of me anymore." Dirga said sadly.

"I hate having great power, but I can't protect others. I don't want this power." He looked at his palm.

Kashel touched Dirga's shoulder while looking at her.

"That power must be useful, if, you use it well. After all, there is no point in complaining about a destiny that will not change." Kashel said as he gazed towards the open ocean.

"You know nothing." Dirga looks upset and leaves Kashel alone. Kashel sighed just staring at him while drinking the soda he was holding.

"So you failed to approach him?" tanya Luan stood beside Kashel.

"It's better if you tell me who you really are." Said Luan again.

"Uum, is that the way to make him sober?" kashel asked Luan.

"He just wanted someone stronger than him, because the people around him were weaker than him, which made him that way." Luan explained then left again.

Kashel looked at the clear sky without clouds that afternoon. With the expanse of the blue sea as far as the eye could see, the sea water was calm without waves. He continued to drink his soda to relax.

If it was like that, I'd be the one getting mental. Inner Kashel finished his drink and threw it into a nearby trash can.

Kashel also had the same thoughts as Dirga, but rather than mourn him Kashel chose to make peace with himself. And because of that he hates to say who he really is to others, because that is what makes him motivated to accept his present self.

However, upon seeing Dirga the uncomfortable feeling he had previously started to receive rose again as well. Kashel becomes unwilling to explain who he really is.

Kashel did not want to think about it anymore he then walked into the driver's room. It turned out that there was Dirga who was showing the map to Liam. Kashel did not enter and leaned against the entrance at the time.

.

It had been two days that they had sailed to find the Delusionary Ocean. Kashel was getting bored. Here there is no internet signal whatsoever so the phone will not be useful here. Kashel sighed while looking up at the sky.

Dirga already knew that Liam was not human, he knew the man did not even sleep or eat for two full days and remained focused on driving the ship.

Finally after finding out who Liam really was, Dirga was surprised and silent after Dirga did not dare to approach Liam who he knew now was the Guardian.

Dirga did not dare to do or ask anything, although Dirga was famous for his powerful magic and could use it without having a protective spirit. Dirga knew his strength would remain incomparable to the Guardian, even the Guardian that had weakened.

Dirga looked at Kashel who was sitting relaxing on the boat seat.

"What's wrong? Is there anything you want to ask?" Kashel asked Dirga's gaze back, Dirga then approached and began to ask.

"Why would the Guardian want to be the Nahkoda of such a ship." Dirga even spoke in whispers.

Dirga observed Kashel again, he could not feel any magic energy on Kashel's body and it left Dirga confused and wondering.

"You're curious about me?" tanya Kashel opened her voice because she felt uncomfortable at the level like that.

"You're the leader here, even the Guardian wants to be led by you. That's impossible to do." Dirga knows how honored the Guardian is.

"Normally it should be." Kashel said leisurely as she leaned back on the chair.

"But why would the Guardian want to obey you?" Dirga remained in disbelief.

"Even like this I come from the Kendrick family." Kashel was even pleasantries.

"You're the main family, one of the potential heirs?" Dirga was no less surprised. Not that it makes Dirga not want to ask again but it actually makes Dirga more curious.

Kashel just nodded, he felt like he had spoken wrongly.

"But you're really ordinary." Said Dirga directly.

"I was a regular person at first, I'm a disgrace to Kendrick's extended family you know." Kashel said casually, as if he had no burden whatsoever.

"So you can't do magic?" ask Dirga again.

"Now I can, I feel like you don't have a protective spirit but I can do magic. But I think it's different." Kashel.

Ck, it's stupid to just say you're a Guardian contractor and all this talk will be over. Inner Luan he was just listening to that conversation.

"Are you one of the people that the Guardian gave you powers." Dirga tried to understand it.

"Aah! Yeah, like that." Kashel immediately agreed because it was not wrong. Although the power of the Borders was now entirely Kashel's, Kashel considered it to be Guardian's. In fact, Kashel was chosen to be the owner of the power itself.

Dirga was speechless and downcast, if it was a power like Rainer's. Dirga was still stronger than him, that was what Dirga knew.

"You know Uncle Rainer?" Kashel guessed asking when he saw Dirga know someone he knew and Dirga nodded.

"I've met him once, even though his strength is strong. But Mr. Rainer, it's still not as strong as I am because the Guardian's power made him suffer." Dirga said, Dirga knew Rainer that was the fact that Kashel got about him.

"Are you close to him?" ask Kashel.

"We've only been assigned once in the same place. He said he wasn't originally a magic user, but the Guardian shared his powers with him." Dirga.

Kashel was speechless, he felt sad despite being very close to Kashel, Rainer never explained that he was suffering because of the strength of the Guardian. He said it once, but Kashel did not know that it was what Rainer meant.

It was all Rainer did to make Kashel have the life he wanted without being burdened the mind would be the soul container of the Guardian. Kashel could only sigh.

"Do you feel the same way when you use your magic?" ask Dirga curiously.

"I don't think so, even if sometimes there's pain." Because of the influence of darkness. Kashel scratched his non-itchy cheek. He was still more afraid of unpleasant feelings when the power merged with him first. Even Kashel did not want to remember it anymore, the most painful thing for Kashel was when the soul sealing spell protector was touched by the darkness. Kashel felt his entire body beaten by a sharp object and wanted to be destroyed only then.

"Why don't you just tell Kashel the truth, there's no need to conundrum." Anna said, making Kashel and Dirga look at her. There was a wave that shook their ship.

Talks broke off as clear skies suddenly darkened and in front of them a storm was seen, Kashel felt around him water vapor began to surround him.

"Oh no, not anymore." Kashel immediately ran to Lyam who had changed his form to Guardian.
