"Ukh!" Kashel began to wake up. But at that time it turned out that the four friends were fighting with traps in the ruins. There were thousands of crabs coming towards them. The Guardian used its water power to destroy the crabs. But once destroyed, there will appear thousands of other crabs even more than before. The Guardian, who confronted the crabs, used only one hand while the other was used to keep Kashel from falling from his arms.
"I feel dizzy" Kashel said when he regained consciousness, feeling an unusual shock.
"I'm sober, you can put me down." Kashel said after he realized his ability was nothing like that. He feels much better now.
Kashel immediately prepared to attack after being taken down by the Guardian from his carrier.
"Are you really okay?" ask Luan worried.
"There's no time to relax in a place like this Luan, I need to recover quickly." Kashel said, preparing with his water sword.
The slash from the water sword made the affected creature instantly freeze and shatter into pieces after a few seconds.
Luan retreated a few steps when she saw Kashel using the ability to fear if she was accidentally hit by Kashel's water sword. Even Kashel himself seemed surprised by his ability. It was his natural ability to use the power of the water element.
It seems like whatever element I use will end up being creepy and can be devastating if I don't use it well. Kashel sat there while fighting.
"This trap doesn't seem to be over if we don't find the next gate." Dirga guessed.
"Looks like you're right." Kashel.
Because the room was spacious and full of water. The Guardian is not trying to make a giant water shield. At a time like this, he and Kashel would not be able to use the power of the other elements well, and if it forced him the flow of magic energy in their bodies would be chaotic and it would be dangerous. But the water shield also did not side with them fortunately there was Anna with her wind element that could effectively make the water around them removed and Luan with her light element made a shield for Kashel and Dirga searched for a magic symbol to stop the attack. The Guardian didn't care that he himself kept fighting to destroy those crabs. At least let their numbers decrease.
"Luan don't panic." Kashel said, looking at Luan who was like creeps in fear.
Luan's job usually wasn't as heavy as it is now. Usually if he served mostly in the medical team and rarely in the front guard. Today he stands in front of Kashel and Dirga.
"Kashel I want to be like you, somewhere you put your fear." Luan tried to stay calm. Luan was terrified to see the hundreds of thousands of stealth crabs around her.
Kashel was confused, wanting to say what. During these few years even though he was terrified and sometimes nearly dead, Kashel was able to get through it even before he could actually see the Spirit properly. His courage against the existence of the Spirit of Darkness had been honed.
"I don't know how many times I've seen a Dark Spirit that's more sinister than this, before I even get to see the Spirit properly." After thinking finally Kashel could explain it.
While talking they continued to search for the magic symbol that would lead them to the next path.
"So from the beginning you knew you were going to be a Guardian contractor?" ask Dirga.
"No, I only know because it's a demand from my family that forces me to work as a Spirit exterminator." Kashel explained.
They found the mark under their feet. At that time hundreds of thousands of crabs, preferring to invade Kashel, Dirga, and Luan.
"Wow! They all lead here." Of course Anna and the Guardian instantly dispelled all of them.
"Hurry now!" shouted Anna.
Kashel immediately dripped his blood onto the magic symbol.
The ground shook again. The hundreds of thousands of crabs slowly disappeared.
"Protective spell, ice shield!" Kashel shouted from the top of the room sharp ice arrows began to hit them. But, Kashel had already swiftly anticipated it well.
"Where did you know there was going to be a Kashel attack?" asked Anna and the others who were on alert fearing that the attack would break through Kashel's barrier spell, as the man looked exhausted.
"Even in every unlock I was exhausted, but I was always given the vision of the trap that would come after. It was the payment from the magic energy that was drawn to this place. More precisely my magic energy being drawn was used to activate those traps and kill all of us with my own magic as well." Kashel explained he realized it.
"Just as every door opens, we are completely overwhelmed to handle it. Because this is the power of the Border," said Dirga did feel there was a strange sense of the attacks that are difficult to dispel.
"I'm sorry guys, I just realized it." Kashel was downcast feeling very guilty.
"We still survived Kashel, you're protecting us with your strength right now." Anna.
"True Kashel you've protected us all, but if so. Later I'll just open the gate up to the elemental magic stone." Dirga offered himself.
"It's not easy, there will be a lot of energy taken." Kashel. "But it doesn't seem to matter because here is an expert doctor looking after us." Kashel looked at Luan again.
"So Luan's a doctor?" Dirga was surprised to not believe.
"Have you ever heard of a doctor and a mad scientist?" ask Kashel. Dirga widened in shock.
"So he's the one?!" Dirga knows.
"Kashel, you don't have to explain anything unnecessary, that nickname I don't want anymore." Luan protested who listened.
"You know so much, what branch are you from?" asked Anna curiously.
"I work at the Head Office." This time the three were shocked.
"It is impossible for a person like me to be left at the Head Office to work in a branch office" Dirga said, Kashel nodded in understanding.
"But why can you two work in a branch office so easily. In theory the Center would not let go of talented people and have great power." Dirga.
"Since we are dissidents, you must know the branch office of the Dusk Boundary Division, I am the one who leads in that office." Kashel.
Dirga was really surprised, the division that was considered trash and never explained how the divisions were considered outcasts, and considered a waste of the central budget to pay them, filled by talented people that the Head Office wants. It was only fitting that even though it was considered a waste of budget the Dusk Boundary Division had never been dissolved.
"Ja-so you're all from the Dusk Boundary Division!"
The three of them nodded.
"God..." Dirga closed her mouth at a loss for words.
