In the laboratory of the Dusk Boundary Division, a man was researching something there, he was seen repairing a glasses that looked cracked and the handle was broken, under the glasses there is a magic circle.
With the dripping of various kinds of potions, the cracks on the glasses began to fade. He was then busy putting the glasses together with his glasses back with a mixture of ingredients that did not know what it was. The glasses blend well and come back to the way they were.
"Done!" the man named Luan wiped his sweat. The spirit of his patron who is a human-bodied eagle but has a clawed bird leg, he has wings giving him a handkerchief, he has a muscular human arm. The spirit protector is called Healer.
"Thank you" he said, accepting the handkerchief.
"Now I can give these glasses back to Kashel." It turned out that it was the anti-spirit glasses that Kashel had worn first, that thing was damaged due to the Border Portal attack that suddenly appeared some time ago.
After exiting the room, Luan directly entered Kashel's workroom.
"Here I've fixed it, if you can't break it again. You know, it's not easy to fix that." Luan continued to ramble on to Kashel.
"Thank you" Kashel received the glasses.
"Kashel, are you still using that useless thing?" Liam said nearby without staring at him at all, he was busy working on the office report.
"As far as I dong," Kashel used his glasses directly.
"Well, this is better" Kashel leaned her body back to relax on the sofa. Finally at least he did not see the wandering Spirits anymore. Although Kashel did not hate them the protective spirits of his friends, it was more convenient for him not to see them alone, for he felt more like a normal human being.
"I remember coming to me to make a Kashel glasses just the opposite version." Luan remembered the past.
"Hmm, I remember you used to be a mad scientist for research. After I came to you, you became very interested in me."
"People say you're a mad scientist, even though I don't know why people say you're like that." Kashel recalls the events of the first time that Kashel came to one of the Syndicate Facilities of The Borders Organization.
"You don't need to remind me of that," Luan said.
He was ordered by his family to come there, to make glasses that would make him see the Spirit. There the young Kashel met Luan who was only slightly older than Kashel.
"You used to call me big brother politely, now I have to be polite to you." Luan chuckled in light of that, the innocent Kashel became Luan's guinea pig.
The 10-year-old Kashel must again be forced by his family to see the Spirit in various ways, in order to enter it into the Spiritual Academy.
He is taken to the syndicate facility where Luan worked first, because of his famous intelligence finally Luan who is believed to handle the case of Kashel. At that time Luan was 16 years old but her intelligence exceeded that of adults.
In his true youth, the Luan family was a scientist who also forced him to learn various things. He was told to examine the people of Man as well as the people of the Spirit, to get answers to their questions.
Making them guinea pigs without feeling and take no small casualties, until in the end the research was stopped and left only a Luan.
He holds the knowledge that his family has researched over the years, more precisely Luan being the only surviving family experiment, and is the original descendant of that family as well.
His head was filled with archives from the family, the results of the family's research. So that the knowledge he got now should be the result of the sacrifice of others or others who have been sacrificed . Luan does not want her past to be carried around, now she wants to avenge her dark past by using the knowledge she knows to help others. He also felt victimized in the study.
Formerly when he first met Kashel, Luan was a person with a spicy mouth and did not understand the feelings of others.
A few years ago ...
"Oh so you're the so-called disgrace of the Kendrick family, the one without special abilities." Luan immediately told Kashel when she first met, even though she was a child at the time.
But Kashel just stared at him blankly and looked awkward, he did not care that maybe the man was the umpteenth who put Kashel on like that, he said, and actually today was the first day that Kashel went out far from his residence.
"Can you help me?" Kashel said in fear, finally opening his voice.
"Little sister aren't you afraid if I make you a guinea pig. You will be the first commoner whose eyes will be forced to see the nation of the Spirit. You know." Obviously Luan.
"It's interesting," Luan muttered.
"Will my eyes be cut off?" either Kashel can get imagination from nowhere. Luan who could not stand Kashel's innocent expression even teased him.
"Yes your eyes will be gouged out." Luan said lightly. Kashel, upon hearing Luan's words, was immediately seen crying in fear, but he said nothing. Just shut up.
Luan of course panicked, she did not know what to do. He has no experience with handling children. Moreover, a child who was crying silently like Kashel.
"Never cry, I will not gouge out your eyes. I was just kidding." Luan explained subtly to Kashel.
"really?" Kashel's eyes were looking delighted. And Luan was happy about it too.
"I'll make you a pair of glasses that will allow you to see the Spirit. But of course it will take time. Because this is the first time I've done something like this." Clearly Luan, Kashel simply nodded obediently.
After that Kashel went every day to visit Luan to wait for her glasses to be ready.
"Aren't you the one who delivered here?" Luan was curious about the boy, still a child but there were no bodyguards accompanying him. Kashel.
"No, brother, I'm alone." Kashel told me honestly he came here, got on the bus himself no one was dropping off. His family just told him to give Luan's address and business card. The rest of the little Kashel had to take care of it himself. First he came out of his residence.
"Huh?! A kid like you, a rich kid wandering around alone." Luan Heboh.
"Is there anything strange, brother?" kashel was confused his whole life no one cared so much about him. So he didn't understand what it was to get someone else to go somewhere.
Kashel had seen it on television or things he had read but he could only imagine how much fun it would be if it happened.
But Kashel cannot ask his family for it or he will be scolded later. Luan who heard it could only massage her head in wonder. Want to protest his past is also not so good to remember. But at least he understood what it was to be picked up by his parents.
Kashel took out his lunch he wanted to eat it because it was lunchtime.
"Well, this food looks good." Luan was interested in the supplies that Kashel brought.
"What does sister want?" Luan nodded, Luan is a person who likes to eat so she definitely does not refuse if given food. Kashel and Luan ate together afterwards.
"Well it turned out that eating together was fun," Luan was puzzled again at Kashel's statement.
"Have you never eaten with anyone?" Luan was curious and Kashel shook his head.
How can this kid, big like this. Inner Luan was depressed, the depressing of Luan's life. But he used to have friends.
"You brother wants me to bring it for you too if I come here again." Kashel.
"Don't tell me you made this stuff yourself, too" guessed Luan, Kashel nodded.
Even this little boy prepared his own food as well. Luan couldn't believe it, she just couldn't cook.
Pitying Luan finally drove Kashel back to his residence, he was amazed to see the residence, but even more astonished that no one cared for the innocent little boy even for one person.
His family's insults about the family's disgrace are not playful, the child is not even ignored or considered to exist.
The next day Kashel came again, maybe it was his last day there because the glasses he ordered would be finished that day.
So Kashel brought her special dishes to Luan. As a sign of his gratitude, Kashel could tell the one thing he wanted to feel all along that he did not get from his family. Luan was also waiting for Kashel's arrival that day, in fact she wanted to make the glasses take longer to complete in order to be able to accompany the boy even longer.
For the first time Luan cared about others, but she could not do so because her work was also supervised by the center.
"Here you come, here's your glasses." Luan immediately gave her glasses to Kashel.
"You should try it first. But I don't know what side effects will happen to you later after wearing it, because you're just an ordinary person who's forced to wear this." Luan looks worried about Kashel.
"It's okay, brother, inevitably I also have to wear it later. So I guess it's okay." Luan looked moved, if the boy had not been born in the main family, Luan would have raised him as her younger brother. Because he's the main family it's not that easy to raise him to be his family.
"Oh yes before how about we eat first, I've promised to bring my sister stock as well." Kashel took his provisions out of the bag. Two boxes of lunch.
Luan immediately accepted it happy, the food made by Kashel was also delicious at least reasonable for ordinary food.
"Where did you learn all this?" Luan curious.
"I learned everything from books and television to articles or videos." Kashel.
"Did no one teach you?" Luan was still curious.
"There, just I don't know what that guy taught me. Almost every day he came, but when he taught me he was so cruel. The only good thing I got from him was the way to read it right.
"The other I think is just another subject matter that if I can't he'll hit me. But even so I still thanked him because he was still my teacher who taught me about the basics that I know now." Obviously Kashel spoke in spirit, he didn't look angry or anything.
"You're a really good kid" Luan murmured.
At that moment Luan noticed Kashel's bruised hands, from the shape alone Luan knew it was a burn.
"You take your hand" Luan grabbed onto Kashel's hand, knowing that the boy was injured by cooking.
"Ah this is okay brother, briefly also healed." It was obvious that Kashel used to see the wound on his hand.
"What, this remains to be treated," Kashel was startled again, no one had ever worried him like that. Luan was also surprised she never felt worried for others like this.
"Let me treat," Luan's hand seemed to tremble, she felt guilty. For the sake of keeping his promise to bring food the boy was wounded.
He tried to use his magic power which was a healing power but it did not work to cure Kashel because the boy was just an ordinary person, he felt useless for the first time.
Eventually Luan could only treat Kashel's wound with ointment and give him a bandage.
In the end while trying on those spirit glasses for the first time, Kashel saw the spirit protector Luan.
He eventually collapsed from wearing the glasses for too long, and Kashel was able to see the Spirit but could not be forced to look for a long time. That was the fee that Kashel had to pay if he forced his inner eye open.
Luan had a promise in her own heart, if she could meet that boy again who was an adult, and she had her own office. Luan will follow him anywhere. They never met again until Kashel opened his own branch.
Luan, who had been transferred to The Borders Organization Hospital, made a mess to be removed from the hospital because basically Luan could not leave the place because of her ability, for the sake of being able to work in Kashel's office he made a huge mess that the hospital could not forgive. So he was thrown into Kashel's Dusk Boundary Division as he wished.
After Luan learns that Kashel has a vision of the spirit as well. Luan wanted to try her ability to heal Kashel's wounds when she was injured. But it remained of no effect, as Kashel was the master of the Guardian he remained an ordinary human being. Once again Luan felt useless. But Kashel comforted him. And finally Luan found it useful to finish the food made by Kashel.
"You call you brother, you don't even age the slightest bit of us meet." Kashel explained, Kashel knew that Luan could not age because of her being used as a guinea pig.
"And you used to make me cry" Kashel murmured, recalling the first time they met.
"Please don't remember that, you're the one who imagines being outrageous so I can't bear to not tease you," explained Luan throwing her face in another direction, he still felt guilty for making innocent children cry at that time.
