Section 14 – Fall of Victims

The Boundary Guard Knights were all busy dispelling the darkness that had appeared around the city, in order to avoid another casualty.

The energy of darkness was very strong, because there were many casualties he had. So that it can easily suck the soul of the person who swallowed the darkness.

The Knights of the Guard, including Kashel and Lyam, have no idea what kind of creature they will encounter.

They knew the creature must have been huge and was now hiding its true form somewhere. It hides the energy of its existence by constantly bringing up dark energies at various points around the city.

Kashel and Liam continued to search for him. Seeking the creature's true form. They think the real form of the creature is hiding in skyscrapers there.

"Let's!" A woman shouted from the basement of the parking lot at the bottom of the building.

Kashel and Liam who heard it quickly came there because they felt an aura of darkness around them. They rushed over when someone shouted.

Luckily those who acted quickly managed to save the woman who was covering her face in fear, with the sword of light that Kashel and Lyam brought them they managed to eradicate the dark energy quickly.

After that they both immediately left the woman without saying anything in the blink of an eye, so when the woman opened her eyes she looked confused because there was nothing in front of her as she had seen before.

Liam opened a portal for them to pass through so that their journey was fast, if they wanted to enter the buildings without going through the door they both had to do that.

Kashel was still unfamiliar but he still forced himself to protect the people. Although his face looks uncomfortable at all because of using that ability.

Opening the portal for them to pass through it made Kashel feel that someone was penetrating him as well. So Lyam only occasionally opened the portal only when they hurriedly so as not to need to enter it through the door if it sensed the dark energy.

The rest of them just ran swiftly darting like two black shadows in the silent middle of the night.

"Are you still up to it?" Lyam asked because she saw the exhausted-looking Kashel. Kashel felt tired from running, even though he had enough strength to recover his strength quickly. But it still took time for Kashel because his ability was not so stable in his body.

"I'm fine" said Kashel after a short break. Then they continued their work again.

From far away Kyler noticed Liam and Kashel who seemed to have approached them again after touring the city for dark energy that could not be reached by the other border guard knights.

The more Liam and Kashel approached at them the dark energy that enveloped the city slowly disappeared until it was no longer felt.

After completing patrols and energy cleanup. The two of them meet again with Rai and Kyler. Kyler was of course amazed by Kashel and Lyam, they both completely cleared away those dark energies.

"Well, great leader!" amazement Kyler.

"I'm not that good, give me water." Kashel lay exhausted he gasped for air from running fatigue.

Rai immediately gave him some drinking water and Kashel drank it straight away.

"The two are pushing themselves too hard" Kyler was worried.

"Until now it seems that you are still just a regular Kashel man," Rai seemed to think.

"What do you think I am? Monsters." Kashel Mumbled.

"Yes." Yeah." The bottle of drink was thrown towards Rai's face, but the man was able to catch it.

"Abjectly," Kashel then stood up but there seemed to be a feeling missing in his heart. He felt the emotion he had diminished, Kashel's red eyes slightly became brighter than usual.

That's why I hate to use this power. Kashel smiled bitterly but he was downcast at the time so that no one noticed it it seemed like only Liam was aware of it.

The more power used by Kashel, the more consumed his emotions as a human being. He doesn't want to lose it all. That is why he keeps limiting his power. And use it only for others.

"Now we have to find where the real form of the Spirit of Darkness is." Clearly Rai was staring at the city that looked silent at night.

Kashel looked curious about the large lake in the middle of the city.

"What's Kashel?" Liam curious.

"No, I'm just curious about the lake." Appoint Kashel.

"It looks like your instincts are starting to become sharp Kashel, even I didn't notice it until a while." Liam.

"I guess I just guessed it." Kashel's protest still doesn't want to be said that way.

Then Rai and Kyler looked at the lake as well.

"The chief is right, in the lake it's like there's something in it even though the energy isn't felt." Kyler.

Rai immediately took out his communication device which instantly told all the Border Guard Knights to turn their attention to the lake in the city. Tightening the guard there. Because they had found the nest of monsters they were looking for.

Closing that location so that no one else would come there other than the people from The Borders Organization. Kashel and Lyam approached the lake.

"If we don't handle it fast, there'll probably be more victims than ever before." Obviously Lyam and Kashel understood.

Then Kashel and Liam put their swords in the lake water and began to drain the light elements from the sword, to lure the Dark Spirit out of the water.

Now what was in the water began to be disturbed. The water starts to look wavy. All of the Boundary Guard Knights who were hiding were preparing with their attacking and defensive positions.

The Dark Spirit's arm began to rise to the surface, it turned out that the original form of the Spirit was a giant octopus. The one that was ten times the size of the guardian spirit of the Boundary Knights, the original Protective Spirit was also large in its fighting form.

The disturbed monster fluttered its tentacles so that there was a great wind gust around the lake. Kashel used his barrier spell so that the two of them would not be affected by the powerful wind attack. In order for their ritual to bring out the Spirit of Darkness from the water was not disturbed.

Finally the Spirit of Darkness that could not stand the light energy jumped out.

The Boundary Guard Knight who had the water element immediately tried to freeze the lake so that the Dark Spirit would not return to the water.

The strength of the Boundary Guard Knights was not enough as only a few people could use the water element.

Liam was forced to unleash the power of his other element, water, as well to help the other Boundary Knights. Kashel initially did not want to take out the element because he already felt quite exhausted by his previous strength.

But looking at the people who fought hard, Kashel could not help. Because the power of Lyam and Kashel were fused the power became large and part of the lake water made them both freeze. They both managed to get the monster out, exhausted Kashel sat down.

Feeling pleased, the Boundary Guard Knights were caught off guard and not alert. The Exodus of the Dark Spirit from the water does not mean making it weak, then losing.

One person who is not vigilant will be fatal as it is today. That Dark Spirit Tentacle attacked one of the Boundary Knights.

"You guys be careful!" Kashel shouted from far away. With the rest of his strength he made a barrier for one man who was attacked but Kashel's unrecovered strength failed to protect the man, his barrier being impregnated. And the man was captured by the tentacle, and ended up a victim. Slowly his body began to dry up, his life energy was sucked up to run out quickly. No one can help him.

When Kashel fell down he failed to protect others feeling disappointed about it, Kashel used his power to create a barrier to confine the Spirit of Darkness with his power.

The Spirit of Darkness was strengthened because it had another victim. But Kashel's barrier was no less powerful to hold the monster back for a while.

"Make everyone go away from this place," the cold Kashel ruled over Liam.

"Kashel do not push yourself" Lyam warned Kashel.

"Quick Liam!"

Lyam flew into the air, the feeling of Kashel starting to affect her.

"Go! I'll handle this thing, this place is too dangerous for you." Lyam told everyone to leave.

Kyler did not want to at first, but seeing Kashel's gaze he got scared and finally ended up leaving the place.

Liam locked the place up and turned it into a different place. In order for no one to interfere with their current fight, Liam felt his strength overflow due to the emotions that Kashel felt. For a long time he had not felt such a great power. So that the power of The Borders flowed powerfully in his body.

Lyam did not know after this what would happen to her and Kashel. He will probably fight all out with the giant creature.
