The Borders

The Borders
Section 25 – Falls Sick

Old man, I don't know what it was for Kashel. Kashel only knew he existed in this world because of them. However, even if it was at his current age if his parents cared a little for him, Kashel would probably still be happy.

"What do you mean?" Kyler asked Luan.

"You think the person who has everything must be living happily?" Luan asked Kyler.

"No, if you think like that your mind is too innocent and only knows how good it is. Kashel is not like that, his life may be complete everything exists. But there's no affection for her." Luan explained what she knew.

"So think, what's the point of living without loving-kindness?" Obviously Luan then left Kyler who was silent.

Kyler felt that way, despite the short time he spent with his family so precious. Although his life is simple and mediocre. But it was filled with warmth and affection, even though in the end he could no longer feel it.

Kashel has declared himself at peace with his past, if it concerns his parents, Kashel still expects to feel affection from them, as they are still there to be able to at least care about Kashel's whereabouts.

From the time that Kashel could only see people who were so dear to their parents, Kashel still often expected it but he never got it.

But after leaving everything he had from the main residence, Kashel was finally able to get some of the things he wanted. His friends and loved ones, it was more than enough to make him feel happy and would continue to keep that togetherness, even though it had to be paid with selfishness from him.

Perhaps that will be the weakness of Kashel in the end. Because from a young age he was very thirsty for the affection of someone who then should be because the destiny he received did not require getting everything he wanted.

However, all of Kashel's friends supported Kashel's decision and agreed with him. Especially Grizelle, the woman would never care what was going to happen in the future and to Kashel, she would always remain by Kashel's side. Plus he knows everything.

After that Kyler could not say anything hearing Luan's explanation. Kashel's friends no one knows for sure how Kashel lived, he said, but Luan and Rigel were the first to know the nature of Kashel who knew nothing of affection even though he did not explain it clearly.

By just looking at it, Luan and Rigel could understand that Kashel seemed confused when getting kindness from others.

Especially Rigel who had seen how rude Kashel's parents were to him until Rigel set up to protect Kashel, making Rigel promise to be an accomplice to the young man.

"Kashel are you okay?" asked Freda who saw Kashel's face seemed very lethargic.

"I'm fine, I guess." Kashel replied unsure. Kashel did feel something was wrong with him, but he didn't really care about it. Because he feels fine.

"Why is your face as pale as a sick person?" asked Freda again, Kashel looked confused.

After that Kashel held his forehead which turned out to have a fever without him noticing. He felt less well afterwards. Lyam who realized that immediately took action.

"You'd better rest Kashel" Lyam said nearby.

"I thought if I was part of The Borders, I wouldn't get sick anymore." Kashel Mumbled.

"Aren't you supposed to be happy. You can still get sick, which means you're still the man you want to be." Lyam said, because of Kashel's strange response.

"Of course I'm happy. But I'm still fine Lyam. I still have a job right now." Kashel used to force himself when he fell as ill as he is now.

From the beginning despite falling ill, as long as he could still wake up Kashel was always forced to do what his family wanted him to do. Kashel cannot refuse him or he will be punished. So when he has a fever like now, he is not so aware if he is sick because it has become accustomed. Other than the people who told him.

His other friends kept reminding Kashel to rest, but Kashel ignored him. In his head has been embedded understanding continues to perform activities when he was sick, so as to quickly recover.

"Kashel you need to listen, get some rest now!" Luan scolded Kashel like that, forcing him to rest and take medicine when Luan had examined him.

"If I rest I'll slow him down." Kashel.

"Thinking where it is, you have a fever and need rest. You need to get some rest to get well soon, this is not the place to torment Kashel." Luan lectured Kashel like her parents.

At last Kashel complied and listened to Luan, a doctor. Luan checked her condition, Kashel fever was quite high and after taking Kashel's medicine fell asleep.

But after three days, Kashel's fever did not go down either. Kashel then returned again to his initial understanding, he had to move a lot to recover quickly.

But Luan suggested to infect him, but Kashel did not. He wanted his own way more.

Lyam could not protest much, what felt Kashel also he experienced. His energy flow felt chaotic in his body, to not act out of control. Lyam prefers to stay quiet.

During the time Kashel was ill Kashel kept his job as a Central Office informant, to inform him of the appearance of the Border Portal when the portal appeared.

Kashel wanted to do his activities again after feeling the pain did not heal. But he suddenly fell silent as if surprised by something. He felt that behind him were giant eyes staring at him sharply.

As a result of Kashel being sick the flow of energy of The Borders in his body became unstable as well, and it disturbed the calm of The Borders who were asleep inside him, thus making the dragon awaken by force.

Kashel was instantly unconscious afterwards, his consciousness having been forcibly withdrawn to enter his subconscious. Lyam realizes that The Borders are awakened, due to the influence of unstable energy flow.

"I told you to rest, and now this is what happens if you force yourself to Kashel." Luan carried the unconscious Kashel.

"He won't be conscious for the next few days." Obviously Lyam suddenly.

"What's? Why?" Luan was surprised as she continued walking.

"Didn't you feel it?" After being asked like that, Luan only felt that there was a huge energy coming out from Kashel's body. He shakes because of that. All of Kashel's friends even stepped aside because of that energy.

Luan did not notice it because she was shocked to see Kashel fall unconscious.

"What should I do?" Luan was running out of strength to move because, that huge energy was like glaring at her from behind.

Liam then took over Kashel's helmet and took her to the treatment room. Luan seemed to still be frightened from feeling that huge energy.

Kashel was completely different to him, that much energy did not even make Kashel die from it.

Kashel was seen sweating a lot like a panic about something. Lyam had suppressed Kashel's energy so as not to frighten his other companions. Luan was finally able to enter the room without shaking like that after Liam called her.

"I need to infect him," said Luan preparing the necessary medical equipment, because if Kashel is unconscious the next few days he also needs the intake of nutrients and drugs to relieve his fever.
