The Borders
Section 42 – Exam Tracking Magic Energy

Kashel was amazed by what he saw, at this moment he could see magic without using his spirit glasses. A young man of his age was seen flying through the air and clearly using his strength.

Kashel realized it was not his troubled eyes and could see the other world, but it was the power of that person whose existence could be seen by the eyes of ordinary humans.

Kashel did not know the man because of the darkness of the night. He did not feel frightened because he saw that person was one of the students in the academy by looking at his uniform.

Kashel also did not want to deal with him, Kashel just silently pecked beside the tree looking at the magical action of the young man who looked like his age. Finally their eyes clashed, the young man's eyes looked fiery red.

Kashel who was stared at so sharply as that immediately wanted to go escape him.

"I have to go" murmured Kashel to his surprise.

However, upon turning over the body the young man was already standing before Kashel now. Kashel knew who the young man was, having seen his face clearly in the darkness of the night due to the mutual glances.

"Pardon me, I accidentally passed by here." Kashel said timidly, he cannot underestimate the ability of children from class A. And this guy is the number one kid in this school. Lyam Raymond the name of the young man.

He was famous for having extremely high magic abilities even without having a protective spirit he could master the elements. But what Kashel knew, the boy had only one element: the wind. Even though it was only a wind element there was no one to match him in terms of ability and learning. The value is almost perfect.

In contrast to Kashel, a highly underrated student at the academy, Kashel was quite famous for his powerful protective spells. If Kashel's practice could use his ability to protect himself, though in the third attack Kashel would fall unconscious afterwards. If the attack was strong Kashel could only withstand twice the attack.

However, Kashel saw Liam using lightning elements. Kashel wondered who the child was. Even in the human eye Kashel could usually see elements that Kashel should not have seen at all.

"So where did you see that?" lyam's red eyes now face each other with Kashel's dark black eyes.

"I didn't see anything. Let me go!" Kashel screeched in fear, until he was killed by the boy, no one would know if he died in the middle of this forest.

Kashel ran away from there.

It seems like I used my strength too much. Thought Liam he didn't really matter if anyone saw him using his true strength, if he was facing such a powerful Dark Spirit just now.

"This forest seems to be starting to be unsafe" Lyam muttered.

"That young man, he shouldn't have entered this forest and wandered around alone like that." His murmur then disappeared in an instant, he did not care about the state of Kashel at that time.

"Thank God he wasn't chasing me," Kashel wobbly looked left and right. He feels lost. Kashel looked at his watch, showing it at eight p.m. It has been an hour since the journey began.

Kashel paid attention to his compass, but using a compass was also of no use as well because what he had to track was the energy of his teacher who was not even told what form his energy was.

Kashel tried to use his spirit glasses again, when Kashel saw that there was a Spirit of Darkness nearby he would immediately open his glasses.

The protective spell he could use was always activated. So that the Spirit of Darkness could not feel its fear, when Kashel met the Spirit of Darkness who was quite strong.

"This place seems safe." Kashel climbed on a rock and stood there.

"To the north," Kashel was a little excited.

"Hopefully this time was right" Kashel opened his glasses, sitting down afterwards. Because the energy in this forest was strong when Kashel's inner eye was opened it made Kashel feel so tired.

"I hope my goal is right, and I can get there before I'm unconscious." Kashel stood up and began to head north as he felt.

Kashel's protective spell seemed to be struck by a clash with the weak Spirit of Darkness. Kashel could feel it even though he was not wearing his spirit glasses. Because of his heartbroken and fearful feelings the Spirit of Darkness affected his spell.

The Spirit of Darkness sensed its existence, it seemed to be closing in on him, and it affected Kashel's protective spell. If there is no spell, he could be in danger.

"I'm tired" Kashel said, drinking the water he was carrying, he had been walking for three hours and was now in at ten in the night. The exam ends in an hour.

On the way Kashel often met with other squads who looked like they were fighting, it made Kashel slightly dispel his fear of seeing people on the road he was walking.

Even Kashel had helped other squads from class B. Kashel delivers the medicine box he brought to the wounded after encountering the Spirit of Darkness before he resumes his journey. He felt no need for it because he knew he could not fight and could still avoid the Dark Spirits.

Kashel put on his spirit glasses, he immediately ran after that. There was a teacher waiting there.

There are many people who have reached their destination, most of them have a protective spirit that can fly. And on average it was the kids from classes A and B, a few new classmates who came back. Even the squad that left him had not arrived.

Kashel smiled happily that he could complete the test, and as Liam looked at Kashel, he stood beside their teacher. An ordinary person who could track magic energy well and could tell the difference between dark, neutral and pure energy. This pure energy belonged to the Boundary Guard Knights who were binding contracts with protective spirits. While the sibir energy in this exam is magic energy modified with magic herbs.

Lyam was interested in him, and Lyam knew of Kashel's ability just by observing him. Because even that ordinary Border Guard Knight alone, would not be able to do that well.

"Where's your team squad?" ask the teacher to come to Kashel.

"I'm sorry teacher, I'm separated from them." Kashel explained not wanting to say that he was actually abandoned.

"Did you leave them?" The teacher intimidated Kashel, and Kashel bowed and wondered if it was his fault again.

"Teacher, he wouldn't leave his friends in such a state. The teacher knows that he doesn't have any magic abilities. It was definitely his friends who left him first because they considered him a burden. Looks like his friends didn't know he could deliver here, they underestimated him too much." Lyam suddenly appeared standing beside her teacher, the teacher seemed to be sweating coldly upon hearing Liam's words.

"Is that true?" the teacher asked Kashel and Kashel only dared to nod, from the beginning of his journey. Kashel has been trying on her own, her friends don't care about her. His advantage was simply not having to fight with the Spirit of Darkness.

Not long after that Kashel's squad which had initially abandoned him had arrived in a state of injuries.
