Ch. 48 - Green Lake
"I thirst... We have to stop for a while, Teacher, otherwise I'll pass out later."
Xin Chen's complaint was finally heard as well by the Lightning Fox, he heaved a sigh of relief while tracing around. The water supply in the space ring storage had been used up while he still did not see the well on the way.
"You looking for water?" ask the Lightning Fox then.
He asserted the Lightning Fox, the demon took out a medium-sized jug. Actually Xin Chen felt a bit odd with this attitude because the Lightning Fox had never been completely kind. Even to torture him, the Lightning Fox never thought twice about doing so.
But since he was already thirsty and had no more water, Xin Chen immediately gulped down. Feel a different sensation when the water in the jug flows in his throat.
"This water is so cold, my body also gets better after drinking it.." Xin Chen closed his eyes, his dehydration gone after drinking the cold water.
"Is that so? I never drank it. After a stealth frog gave it to me sixteen years ago and said it was his urine..."
Xin Chen's eyes bulged fiercely, the water was reflexively spurted. Not long after that he vomited out his stomach in disgust. "Basar fox sucks! Hueek!"
"Hahahaha you take it easy, the water will heal the internal and external wounds in your body."
Xin Chen was speechless to calm himself down, despite being somewhat irritated by the attitude of the Lightning Fox towards him but he understood all of that had a reason. Whether it was good or not, so far the Lightning Fox did not really want to kill him.
"What about the mask? Has he reappeared?" The Lightning Fox turned its attention, recalling the figure of the spirit female. I wonder what is going on with him right now.
"I don't think we have much time to wait for him, he'll show up in eight days. That too if true. If waiting for him I'm not sure if that piece of Steel Phoenix is still safe or not in the Green Lake."
"You're right. At least at high speed we can reach the Green Lake in five days. That's if you can run as fast as me."
Xin Chen's brows fused together, showing his protesting face. "Who can't I say?!"
"Prove it if you can! And don't let you get left behind!"
Right in the last sentence the Lightning Fox had disappeared from Xin Chen's sight, leaving the road ash that was billowing in the air. "Running away that fast-!? Where can I–! Rubaaah! Wait for me!" The more rambled the distance between the two widened, the more mentally and physically Xin Chen tested. There is no pause to calm down if you are with the Lightning Fox.

Xin Chen held onto his chest, trying to feel his heart rate there was still there or not. It feels like I really want to die. Five days of chasing down the Lightning Fox with such a running speed just now made his legs not even able to stop running anymore.
Xin Chen was unwilling to see the current state of his feet, if not for the immortality in his body perhaps Xin Chen's body had already rotted in the village they had been through. The bruises on his feet now began to turn blue and his own body was scratched by the sharp leaves of the forest.
"You exhausted?" That was the only word that came out from the mouth of the Lightning Fox after tormenting him ran nonstop through the night. This playful annoyance made Xin Chen's fingers eager to claw at the tree trunk next to him.
"If I die silly the first time I go is you, Master." His voice when it managed to stabilize the roar of breath. Surround around them that are already dark and filled only with crickets.
"You came to the world to practice again? Who invited you to fight in the afterlife?"
The calmness that Xin Chen was trying to wake up instantly collapsed, he was again irritated by this teacher.
"It's true, Dad said, a creature like you is more chatty than a human being."
"What did you say?"
"That's, there's a cave near the lake. Maybe we're going in through there?" xin Chen said turning his attention, it was true that the attention of the Thunder Fox moved to the mouth of the cave which let out sounds of wind inside. It seemed like air was moving into the place, making strong gales churn violently within it.
"That place is very unusual." said the Thunder Fox approaching, lurking from the outside while closing its eyes. With his sharp intuition guessing how wide this cave is not a difficult thing anymore.
His silvery eyes opened quickly, showing a face of disbelief in Xin Chen. "Maybe this is the reason why the spirit said we need clues in order to obtain the Steel Phoenix."
"Why indeed?"
Seemed a little reluctant as the Lightning Fox spoke, "Before I was sure of my strength this could sense where the Steel Phoenix was located, but the spirit protecting it hid the thing very hidden."
"We can go inside and look for her."
"The problem now, you know? The end of the cave has gone too deep into the surface of the earth. The more you fall inside the thinner the oxygen inside. And from the sound caused from the inside, the cave has many paths, one take step you will arrive at the end of the cave without oxygen. Found nothing there but death."
The fact that looked more like this warning instead made Xin Chen even more interested, he barged inside. Feeling the strong wind was like forcing him to enter.
It only took him a short time to be confused with this cave, the strong wind made his body pushed into the pointy rocks. Xin Chen was trying to go against this wind current, in a desperate situation his eyes could still catch one odd thing. Some of the mounds of stone seemed to have been broken, in another sense there might have been people who had already entered this place.
The Lightning Fox arrived inside, its body completely unaffected by the strong wind. Still looks like he is standing upright not moving one bit. "Here you have a plan?"
"I don't know yet..." Xin Chen moved sluggishly, wanting to catch up to the Thunder Fox and hold on to a pointy rock about the size of his body. "We don't have any artifacts or clues in order to arrive at this Phoenix Steel dweller's spirit place."
While busy thinking of the path that would lead them to the place of the Steel Phoenix, Xin Chen sharpened his eyes. Perhaps he found clues from at least five roads in this cave, all of which would have different directions. Therefore, one of the steps may take his life will also be finished.
The Lightning Fox held onto Xin Chen's chest as the child was about to enter one of the streets, "In the way there were too many large scorpions. I smell the scent of Death in it, probably the bodies of people who have entered this place before."
Xin Chen immediately rewinded his body, raised his head upwards and found none of the clues in this place. His head started to get dizzy from being affected by the noise from this wind.
"Don't let this rhythm of the wind enter your head, Chen."
