Ch. 47 - Mindset
Being in a precarious situation Xin Chen finally woke up, holding his head in pain then paying attention around. Still do not understand what is going on right now and why there are so many warriors surrounding it.
As he saw the Lightning Fox before being interrogated by them, Xin Chen finally began to recall what happened earlier. He challenged the Lightning Fox to show his original form which was unusually large as well as horrifying and ended up with him being injured. Judging from the girly they showed, these warriors were deeply suspicious of the Lightning Fox about the incident earlier.
There was no way they could not feel the huge demon energy suddenly and at the same time the sky seemed to be about to collapse. Such a deed most likely could only be done by the Earth Ruler Demon alone.
Seeing Xin Chen have regained consciousness some people supported his body, helping the boy to stand up.
"What happened to you and you know who he is? Because I asked him before and he answered nothing but to stand there staring."
One of them whispered a little to her, occasionally turning to the figure she was talking about. Afraid of his voice being heard, even though the Lightning Fox itself could clearly hear what the man was talking about.
The Lightning Fox did not know what else to do, everything now depended on Xin Chen. If he fails to lie the chances are that a big problem will come. The news of the Lightning Fox coming out of the Mist Forest sounded and he became an expensive hunted.
Although conquering the Earth Ruler Demon did not seem like an easy matter, but if only the five great sects joined forces to capture it the chances of him surviving were also few. It was for this reason that the Lightning Fox had been hiding its power while outside the Fog Forest. If he was in the Fog Forest his head had been hunted especially when he came out like this.
Xin Chen stared at his hands, flowing strength there until lightning chains appeared. Making some men retreat in confusion, a bit of disbelief and of course questioning whether Xin Chen's age was up to his size.
For a child the size of a child, being able to use such a change in energy was simply impossible. It takes considerable strength and long fighting experience to be able to hone the energy change technique.
Feeling Xin Chen was an old man who used science to always look young made them not treat him like a child anymore.
"Can you explain what happened in this place? No one else but you two can explain. I sense a great power coming, it's likely to be a catastrophe if you don't tell us right away."
"Ah, that. No need to worry. I was just practicing." Xin Chen replied flatly, the answer that made the man's forehead instantly triple. It would be absurd if Xin Chen had indirectly said the great power earlier was his.
Unwilling to let go of Xin Chen just like that he threw another question. "I'm sorry, frankly I don't believe what you said. The god-level power level earlier made a sudden storm in this place and also the wave water had risen even for a moment. You're not kidding, are you?"
Xin Chen then showed a veiled face, "Then you accuse me of being a monster or something?"
"No, not you. But..." He pointed towards the Lightning Fox timidly. Let only a little he could feel something strange coming from the figure.
"What's wrong with him?"
"She looks so weird, I mean her powers are so alien. Is he a real human being or..."
"You're saying this adorable little brother of mine is a demon? Really..." Xin Chen folded his hands in annoyance. "Basic of the heart!"
The Lightning Fox had almost coughed under her cloak, this was what made Xin Chen still look crazy in his eyes. After seeing the gigantic form of the Lightning Fox earlier he could still consider the Earth Ruler Demon to be adorable.
"Can you prove he's not who we think he is?"
"Then look, after this you will not suspect my sister anymore or you will be the ones I will care for."
A split second later Xin Chen reached out his hand, telling them to touch him. "Please if you want to prove it. Until here it is not that you have seen for yourself the power of lightning is indeed mine. And the storm and the waves, it could have just happened."
They hesitantly touched Xin Chen, a moment later the eyes of one of them widened. He retreated for a while as he felt Xin Chen was indeed not a human, perhaps that strange power was not due to the Earth Ruler Demon, but came from a ghost power that was still wandering around like him.
"Sorry to interrupt, I forgot to take care of something. Sa- See you again~!" The swordsman's voice echoed from a distance and disappeared rapidly within the forest, unwilling to stare at the translucent Xin Chen as he attempted to touch it.
Xin Chen looked at the others, "Wait what are you guys? Want me to care for ya?"
"D-no!! Thanks, we'll go first!"
The party dispersed instantly, leaving Xin Chen and the Thunder Fox there. The Lightning Fox approached the child, taking a deep breath.
"Next time don't act crazy like that, you won't know if your body can hold my power or not."
The corner of Xin Chen's lips lifted, revealing a smile as he turned to face the Thunder Fox. "It is precisely because I do not know that I try, that if I die I will find every way to return to earth."
The fox was still in disbelief as to why he could meet Xin Chen to date, this determined mindset always gave a small surprise on their way. Given the day that he and Xin Chen were accidentally reunited one night, it was possible that indeed the boy was moving following his own destiny.
While continuing the journey of the Lightning Fox slightly told how to use the power of hers, starting from the Lightning Arm. The initial basis was for Xin Chen to understand how to mold such power into a deadly weapon in outline.
Practicing the Lightning Arm and running at high speed at the same time certainly drained his strength very quickly, Xin Chen's roar of breath began to sound disjointed. Several times his steps were left behind by the Thunder Fox who still continued to explain his mainstay lightning moves.
"Teacher! Waitaminute! Can you stop for a second?"
The Lightning Fox stopped running, looking back in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"What's wrong? You don't see my breath almost gone? At least reduce your running speed, or we don't stop just so I can focus on practicing this Lightning Arm."
"Can't!" Xin Chen was surprised by the huge voice, he stroked his patient chest. Indeed, until now he would not die just from walking for a long time while using half the power to study the Lightning Arm. But the name tired also still exists, he still remains like an ordinary human being.
