The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 18 - Great Anger

Xin Chen's bright brown eyes changed rapidly, his heart burning got the insult. "You can insult me as much as you can, but not my father, damn it!"

Xin Chen's run became more deft, the boy tried to master emotions but to no avail. He floated a high kick that hit the man's jaw hard. The counter-resistance was also leveled at him, Xin Chen even to the point of not having the momentum to dodge.

Bruackk!

Xin Chen slammed into the wall, just about to wake up subconsciously a middle kick invaded his head.

Punch after blow floated down his body until Xin Chen was numb, the Lightning Fox had absolutely no intention of helping as he had said at the beginning despite Xin Chen's life as the bet.

The Lightning Fox looked disappointed, even though she had said that earlier. In a battle of emotions can make his mind chaotic to be unable to think clearly.

This is what makes him lose the fight so often. Including with Xin Zhan himself, each swinging his sword Xin Chen hesitated to injure his brother.

"Your house is different from the jungle, here the strong survive. If it's only up to you, I'd better continue on my way."

"Yet..."

Xin Chen held back his opponent's hand, trying to break away from the grip.

"Dignifying my father like that, who do you think you are!?"

Suddenly a huge energy came out, making Xin Chen's originally brown eyes turn blood red along with the appearance of sparks on his forehead. "Take back your words!"

The man was unable to contain Xin Chen's anger, it was incomprehensible from where this murderous as well as burning aura came. Xin Chen looked extremely frightening, even though he was twice as small as his body.

"Did, finally the real power appeared as well." The lightning fox again sat in its original place when it felt this spectacle would become even more exciting.

Having not started anything yet, the man was made confused when he saw Xin Chen disappear without a trace. He twisted his body quickly wary of the sudden attack. And sure enough, a swing of the sword was moving from above.

Yet Xin Chen's speed was still below his own opponent's, making the attack avoidable despite only being thinly different. The man dodged the attack easily, but unfortunately he had not predicted Xin Chen would do a follow-up attack like he had done earlier.

The man's head rang out loud as Xin Chen's knees slumped against his face.

"W-what the fuck are you? You're just a failed child who has weak strength, don't get big head first–"

"Take your words back." Xin Chen managed to get the man cornered, now that the sword eye was only a few inches from the man's neck, ready to pierce him at any moment.

"Well, I'm sorry... I'm taking my words back."

Xin Chen drew the sword, looking to start being able to control his emotions.

The Lightning Fox said quietly, "Why didn't you kill him?"

"Hm? He didn't kill me." Xin Chen replied confusedly, after all he felt that the man's life was also worth forgiving. The view that everyone should be given a second chance has stuck in his mind long ago.

"Forgiving him will only delay the bigger problems coming. You don't know, in the past he's taken dozens of lives without mercy."

Xin Chen started to worry, between wanting to let the man live or not. As long as the Lightning Fox added, "The Devil has embedded an immortal in his body, you can only exterminate that demon after destroying its owner's body."

"I won't let you kill me!" The sudden movement from behind grabbed Xin Chen, the boy reflexively held back the speed of the sword with his weapon as well.

"Hey didn't I forgive you?!"

Now Xin Chen understood why he should not give this second chance to the enemy, after hearing those words there was no reason to let him live.

"Then die quietly, old man." Xin Chen disappeared back, making the man glare at the surroundings with deep fear. Three seconds later, none of the attacks came to confuse him.

Xin Chen attacked from the top of his head without him knowing, now that the sword was stuck in the man's shoulder all the way inside, howling screams suddenly sounded roaring across the city.

Some of the residents peering from home watched him grimace, seeing that a cold-blooded little boy had killed an opponent completely incomparable to him.

The Lightning Fox descended from the roof, approaching the dazed-looking Xin Chen. His eyes were locked in the enemy's bloodstream.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Chen. To create peace is no longer a strange thing to get rid of little rats like this."

"Teacher, would my father be angry if he saw this?"

Almost the Lightning Fox laughed at hearing that, he replied loudly. "At your age he has killed dozens of lives with his own hands. Approaching death and challenging the heavens. He's certainly not gonna be mad at you," he said. Making Xin Chen at least get better.

"That power..." Xin Chen looked at both of his hands. The Lightning Fox smiled briefly.

"You can only thrive if you're in the wild. Not with home training. You're not as weak as you think, Chen."

Xin Chen smiled widely, only this time did he get such a good compliment. Rather than that he suddenly remembered the family inside the house, Xin Chen entered the house again.

Seeing a pair of parents with one child was cowering in fear inside.

"Young Master! You survived?"

"Who came to your house then, Uncle? A ghost?" The atmosphere turned more fluid with the joke, their toddler daughter stopped crying when Xin Chen came.

"Our master really owes you his life, even if you were a child, you saved our family."

Hearing the praise Xin Chen was not directly big-headed, it was possible that this time he was lucky to win the fight. Or maybe all this time he had lost to Xin Zhan indeed because his brother was much stronger than his opponent earlier. Xin Chen did not understand either.

"May I know why he attacked your family?"

The man then nodded, "Lately there has been an outbreak of disease in some villages, probably due to polluted water flow. I've also learned quite a bit about this outbreak, most likely someone who planned the spread of this disease to infect many people in a moment."

Xin Chen propped up his chin. "A plague like this should've known Dad, then why didn't anyone come to their rescue?"

"Look, sir," he said hanging. "Nobody was willing to approach the plague village even if it was just checking. When making a report to bring this matter to the government they did not have accurate evidence, except to go to the place directly."

"What happened to that village? Why do they seem to be afraid to enter?"

The face of the medicine compounder turned unpleasant, "Don't know why... The outbreak is spreading rapidly, I don't know if it's contagious or not. Therefore, anyone who has entered the village will not be accepted anywhere. He's afraid he's taking the plague with him."

Starting to understand a little Xin Chen nodded his head, there was one more question he had asked before leaving. Namely about the original purpose, which is to find the location of the Valley of the Gods but the man said he did not know about it.

Only a handful of people knew of the existence of the black flow group, indeed the easiest thing to know was to meet the information seller but unfortunately Xin Chen had not found it since yesterday.

The Lightning Fox was waiting for him outside, the man's corpse had now been burned by him using electrical power.
