The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 154 - Sheath of Spell

"Sister Zhan?" Xin Chen's breathing choked, it had been months that he had not met his twin brother. Such a powerful aura encompassed Xin Zhan's body, as one of the strongest disciples of the White Fog Valley his strength could not be underestimated.

During this fight in fact the Qing Empire had sent dangerous demons that threatened the lives of the city residents and Xin Zhan with the Imperial soldiers worked together to deal with it.

Seeing his sister return to where she came from, Xin Zhan was only able to fall silent. He sensed a murderous aura that was so concentrated around Xin Chen's fighting ground as well as that giant demon. At first he thought the aura was coming from Xin Chen's opponent, yet Xin Zhan couldn't shake off the other guesses that had come to his mind.

"Now when everything's messed up, you just remember coming home?"

"I never said I was coming home."

Xin Zhan's two hands clenched to a pale, she looked extremely wrathful. Without a second thought Xin Zhan moved near Xin Chen, the Imperial soldiers could only listen to the quarrels of the two knowing that they dared to interfere in the affairs of the Xin clan's eldest son, their necks can be cut off easily.

"What do you mean, huh?! Leaving the house and playing around out there like wild beasts! You know every night Mom cries you, you never come back since that day!" Xin Zhan wanted to say more but his throat was choked. She was so affectionate towards her mother and father, yet Xin Chen easily went and left them. Go somewhere else they don't even know where.

"Playing around, huh?" He looked up at the sky, saw the Dark Dragon was rampaging and destroying the forest by burning it using the Fire of Eternity. "Whatever if that's what you say. Besides, for a weakling like me, being home or not won't affect anything. Are you the one who said I was just a burden? I should've left with nothing to lose to you."

Xin Zhan sneered, "Indeed it is useless. Shit, beating a bad monster you're tired. You stupid brother!"

Xin Chen chuckled softly, "Yah hahaha this ugly demon from earlier bothered me. Can you please just beat him up?"

"No need for you to ask me I'm going to hit that ugly face!"

Xin Zhan took out his sword without hesitation, within a second after which an abundant flow of power surged out from his body. As expected of her brother, Xin Zhan will not stay silent as Xin Chen leaves the house. He trained much harder than anyone, destroyed anything he thought was appropriate to eradicate and worked directly on the Emperor to protect the people.

"Ck, one troublesome brat added up again. Well, if that's what you want, I won't hesitate!" Liu Fengying took in her breath, her body enlarged again and different from before, her scorpion tail increased to five.

Xin Zhan understood very well how dangerous the tail was, just moving wrongly he could be paralyzed by the poison. Generally, scorpion venom does not take more than a minute to kill its victim. And the five tails seemed to close the gap in Liu Fengying's body.

Xin Zhan took the first step, the ground where he stood on foot crackling as the young man came forward snatching the huge scorpion. Xin Zhan's sword and the scorpion claw clashed strongly, sparks visible from the friction. In terms of defense Liu Fengying's form was extremely invulnerable. He didn't even take a step from his place.

Realizing that Xin Zhan retreated then attacked from a different direction, the fight went so fast. The soldiers who had come with Xin Zhan were also silent petrified watching the terrifying fight. During the White Fog Valley Xin Zhan had never used his full strength to fight.

However today he looked solemn, one of the soldiers glanced towards Xin Chen and nudged the soldier next to him.

The man wiped his face with a handkerchief, so remember how Xin Chen loved to prank him while on duty overseeing this city. His sword that he had bought with great difficulty was thrown into the river by the boy.

"But..."

The other soldiers seemed to be aware of something strange from Xin Chen's body aura, as the chief of the soldiers naturally he was more sensitive in terms of measuring strength. A blood red aura that was so thick enveloped Xin Chen's body, and compared to that the man was aware that he was hiding such a terrifying aura.

Four of Liu Fengying's five had been cut off by Xin Zhan, with one of his legs also being slashed.

"By your strength too... But just so you know.." Liu Fengying laughed out loud, the regeneration of her fully stealth body gave her the ability to heal herself faster. It only took a matter of less than ten seconds, his entire tail and legs were back growing as they were.

"No way..." Xin Zhan prepared by using the Book of Seven Keys, from earlier on he focused on attacking the scorpion with a sword slash. But if with that Liu Fengying could not be eliminated, it was inevitable that Xin Zhan would have to use the Book of Seven Keys to defeat him.

"Hm it looks like you're getting serious?" Liu Fengying's reddish eyes narrowed, her violent face making her almost the same as a demon. "Unfortunately the big surprise is coming soon, you won't be able to stop any of us! Ahhaha!"

As Liu Fengying said, before long one city of Renwu was shrouded by a veil made with high-level spells, a very, very dangerous form of ancient black magic.

The originally bright blue sky changed with a deep red, Xin Chen raised his head. He felt a mysterious, sinister force, and it all came from the figure above him.

A man in a robe flew up there, his hands stretched out while chanting something. Until finally when he stopped talking, the undead emerged from the walls of the spell.

"What is this power?!" It was precisely Xin Chen who was first startled, his shoulders felt trembling at how many undead were coming out of the spell wall. In that second he had only seen firsthand how terrifying the black magic from the other Empire was. Not to create peace, instead they use power to destroy things on a massive scale.

The Science of Summoning is one of the terrible ways that can destroy the world, in addition to the ability of creation and elimination belonging to the Demon Queen. Both are equally catastrophic for human civilization.

Yong Tao who seemed to have been much better than before was also as shocked as Xin Chen, as he spoke the man's lips seemed to tremble. "It was a summoning technique that should only be possessed by the early owner of the most powerful Book on the face of the earth..." Yong Tao spat out blood, yet still tried to speak clearly. As the former of the first Imperial Pillar himself knew a lot about the predecessor figure in the past.

"Don't say... The Third Book of the Forbidden?"
