Ch. 122 - Rise to the Surface
Upon reaching the tunnel that connects the river with the high sea, the Eel Monster sounded so loud that the water wave came back. The Electric Eel King chose not to look back for the safety of his heart, a little more he reached the surface and when he managed to climb up the river he and Xin Chen immediately pulled over. Afraid of the Eel Monster managed to get into the tunnel and chase them to this place.
Xin Chen took a very long breath, he was finally able to breathe freely as he could. It's just that this kind of situation can't calm him down, the Eel Monster rampaged so badly that it made the connecting tunnel down there break down. He forced his way inside.
"Hey, what are you doing?! You want to make the demons in this place wretched?" the Enraged Electric Eel King snapped at him violently. This action would only harm his side, he knew indeed from the start this was all his fault in having Xin Chen swim into the depths of the sea to meet the Eel Monster. It's just that he also does not want this mistake to be bestowed on other demons who have no business in it.
On the other hand Xin Chen was trying to clear his mind while recovering the burns that had appeared on his body. Before long he looked at the Electric Eel King, "I will deal with this matter to the fullest. It's just I need a little help from you guys."
The Electric Eel King was still angry but he could not behave like that for a long time, there was nothing to argue about anymore. Everything had already happened and indeed he should have known Xin Chen would not be able to stop the Eel Monster alone. Plus, killing the monster was the same as saving the lives of the Electric Eels in this place and if the creature remained and stayed down there, it did not rule out the possibility that he would go berserk at any time.
"Wait, don't tell me you lured him here so he can't use his real powers under the sea?" Finally the demon realized something, there was no way Xin Chen had fled in fear after seeing the various desperate actions he had done since.
Xin Chen chuckled softly, "I think you're putting too high expectations on me. Hey, just think logically. If you're just overwhelmed by it what about me who can't breathe in the ocean?"
The Electric Eel King nodded a few times, he recalled the fight under the sea earlier and Xin Chen was always constrained by the air supply within his lungs.
"What do you need my help for?"
"It's not just you, it's the Fire Bats in this place."
Although somewhat clueless the Electric Eel King decided to follow Xin Chen's request, he summoned the entire Fire Bats to come closer to him.
"Then?"
"If the Eel Monster rose to the surface the Fire Bats could outwit him with their screams, it should be that way the monster would not have time to create a streak of lightning. We have to use that time to cut off his four remaining heads."
"Hahahaha that's the way humans think, I just slightly heated it up and he went berserk without thinking here is not the place to fight."
The eruption of water froths sounded above the surface, Xin Chen approached slightly to ascertain whether the creature had arrived or not. When he focused on sharpening his eyesight the hand with claws so sharp out hit the riverbank.
Kontan Xin Chen leapt back to be able to keep a safe distance from the Monster, his extremely long body crawling up to the surface along with wrathful eyeballs burning with emotion. The monster immediately opened its mouth to gather lightning power.
While Xin Chen was directly approaching the Monster, unlike before, now he was free to attack from close range because in the previous fight he had to deal with boiling water which was like burning his bones. And plus the monster could not see the surroundings clearly, the Fire Bats were flying at high speed to disturb him. They are very difficult to catch or attack.
This flying speed had overwhelmed Xin Chen in the beginning, though, he was certain that the Eel Monster would not be able to control the Fire Bat Demon here and seeing them so aggressively attacking the monsters they considered enemies, Xin Chen's situation seemed to turn around from before. By fighting like this it seems that he still has a chance to win.
Unwilling to waste his chance, Xin Chen barged in and unleashed a high-speed attack. He focused the attack on the four necks of the Eel Monster because there was the control center of the creature. Yet as if knowing Xin Chen's purpose, the monster protected its targeted body parts as well as re-releasing a dangerous lightning sting.
While the Electric Eel King was standing rigidly in place, he did not know what to do because in his current position it seemed to interfere would only add to his problems. The stealth head turned to face back and caught the presence of the Lightning Fox there. He observed the fight that was clearly happening in front of him.
The Electric Eel King turned back, this was very embarrassing for him. A fight was going on right in front of him but he was of no help at all, having just decided to fight Xin Chen backwards.
"Hey... Don't tell me you're out of energy?" Xin Chen's breath rang out intermittently, indeed since he had heard it only that the current one was more like a breathless person. The Electric Eel King used his healing power to help Xin Chen recover the burns on his arms and neck. This burn will be very dangerous if left unchecked. Moreover, Xin Chen had been slightly affected by the Fire of Eternity, even though it had fortified itself with a lightning shield the effects of such power would continue to work if not immediately eliminated.
Xin Chen held onto his ribcage, feeling a great pain from inside there. Xin Chen was sure this was most likely the effect of the excessive use of force he constantly used, at least this fight against the Eel Monster had already taken two hours, during that time all the effects worked on his body. It only took a little while longer before he fainted again.
Xin Chen glanced towards the Electric Eel King, he whispered a little to the demon and after that with the rest of his strength he came back face to face with the Eel Monster.
